Abstract

E' descritta una guarnizione avvolta a spirale avente avvolgimenti multipli di nastri avvolti a spirale di metallo, materiale di riempimento compressibile resistente alla fiamma e materiale di riempimento compressibile resistente agli ossidanti. Il materiale di riempimento resistente alla fiamma è disposto in una regione verso la periferia esterna della guarnizione ed il materiale compressibile resistente agli ossidanti è disposto in una regione radialmente più vicina alla periferia interna della guarnizione. La guarnizione ha eccellenti caratteristiche di tenuta per tensioni di appoggio della guarnizione da basse ad alte ed è efficace per l'uso con agenti chimici corrosivi fornendo un livello di protezione in situazioni di incendio.
