Abstract

Un profilo di cartoncino ed un gruppo simile al cartoncino costruito da esso comprendenti un'estrusione avente forma rettangolare generalmente sottile e contenente superfici planari superiore ed inferiore di ampiezze leggermente diverse. Le superfici superiore ed inferiore del profilo sono collegate su un lato su bordi periferici complementari tramite almeno una superficie di bordo ad angolo o smussato. In realizzazioni preferite, la superficie planare superiore del profilo può portare strati decorativi. Il profilo può essere tagliato, ritagliato a 45° e montato in modo da formare un finto cartoncino per circondare un oggetto d'arte incorniciato. I profili di cartoncino possono comprendere inoltre elementi di fissaggio quali adesivi e meccanismi a scatto per il fissaggio ad una seconda superficie, compreso un altro profilo.
