Abstract
An electrofusion coupler suitable for joining the end of one reinforced thermoplastic pipe to the adjacent and substantially axially aligned end of another reinforced thermoplastic pipe, the electrofusion coupler comprising an annular body to surround the adjacent ends of the pipes to be joined and heating means to weld the inside surface of the annular body of the coupler to the plastics material of the outside surfaces of the pipes, wherein the coupler is provided with axial reinforcement.
