上記フォーカスエラー信号のレベルを検出するレベル検出手段と、
上記フォーカスエラー信号に対応して上記複数の記録面の1つから他の記録面にフォーカスジャンプさせるための加減速信号を発生させる加減速信号発生手段とを具備し、
上記加減速信号発生手段から出力される加速及び減速信号を上記レベル検出手段のフォーカスエラー信号の閾値レベルに対応して切換え制御して成ることを特徴とする光ディスク駆動装置。
【請求項2】 光ピックアップからのレーザ光の焦点位置を複数の記録面の1つから他の記録面に移動させる光ディスクのフォーカスジャンプ方法に於いて、
上記光ピックアップのフォーカスサーボ系のフォーカスエラー信号のレベルを検出するステップと、
上記レベル検出信号に基づいてフォーカスジャンプを行なうための加減速信号を出力するステップとを有し、
上記加減速信号の出力タイミングは加速信号の出力開始後にフォーカスエラー信号のレベルが所定の第1の閾値を越えた時に加速信号を停止させるステップと、
上記フォーカスエラー信号のレベルが所定の第2の閾値になったとき減速信号の出力を開始するステップと、
上記フォーカスエラー信号のレベルが所定の第3の閾値を越えたことを検出し、それに続いて、該フォーカスエラー信号のレベルが所定の第4の閾値以下になった時に減速信号の出力を停止させる様に成したことを特徴とする光ディスクのフォーカスジャンプ方法。
