According to the cabtire cable branching connector of the present invention, the following effects can be obtained. That is, when two cabtire cables are connected and a branch line is branched from the connection position, for example, when a branch line (slave line) is drawn from the cabtire cable constituting the control bus,
The cabtire cable is cut right and left at the branch line withdrawal position, and an end unit is attached to each cable end. Attachment of the end unit to these cable ends performs the same connection work for both the cut left and right cable ends, and a plurality of core wires are stripped from the cut left and right cable ends. Each stripped core wire is inserted into a core wire insertion hole corresponding to the end body of each end unit. When inserting the core wire, a color (for example, black, white, red, blue, yellow) is provided near the core wire insertion hole of the end body in correspondence with the core wire,
Alternatively, if identification means such as attaching numbers or symbols is provided, erroneous insertion of the core wire can be avoided. Each core wire inserted into each core wire insertion hole as described above is pressed and held by the inner wall of the core wire insertion hole by the core wire pressing piece. In addition, when each core wire insertion hole is formed so as to penetrate and the core wire can be penetrated, insertion can be confirmed because the core wire has penetrated, and a cutting tool (for example, a nipper) can be inserted at the end of the core wire at the penetration position. By cutting, the ends of the core wire can be aligned.

In holding the end unit with respect to the branching unit, by providing a restricting portion or restricting means for restricting the mounting direction of the two end units to one, each of the two end units is provided. The core wire can be prevented from being erroneously connected. In this case, if the insertion position of the core wire is the same for both end units, the front and back of one end unit are inverted and held by the branch unit, so that each core wire of the end unit corresponds to each other. I do. In addition, since the press-fit terminal insertion hole of the core wire insertion hole penetrates the front and back to enable insertion from both surfaces, the end unit can be held upside down.

When the two end units are held by the branch unit as described above, each press contact terminal of the branch unit is simultaneously inserted into the insertion hole of the corresponding press terminal of each end unit. Then, the inner core wires are pressed and electrically connected. As a result, the two cabtire cables and the branch terminal are electrically connected, and the branch line can be pulled out from the branch terminal.

Are inserted in the core wire insertion holes 26 to prevent erroneous insertion. That is, when the two cabtire cables 15 are connected via the end unit 12, the connections of the respective core wires 16 must naturally correspond to each other. Each core wire 16 of the cabtire cable 15 is color-coded for its covering. For example, white, black, red, blue, yellow. Therefore, when the color of the core wire 16 is specified and inserted at a predetermined position, the position corresponds to the position of each core wire 16 of the two end units 11. If the insertion positions of the core wires 16 of the two end units 11 are the same, the operation of inserting the core wire 16 becomes easy. However, the two end units 11,
11 are opposed to each other in a connected state, the positions of the core wires 16 are opposite to each other because the left and right positions are opposite. It is necessary to correspond.

However, as shown in FIG. 3, when the restricting projections 36, 36 of the left and right end units 11, 11 do not face each other, the covering colors of the facing core wires 16 are different, so that the center core wire 16 ( Except for the red covering color), core wires 16 of other covering colors do not correspond. Even in this state, even if it is attached to the branching unit 12, in the case of FIG. 3, the left end unit 11 in FIG.
Since it does not correspond to the position of the second regulating groove 71, it cannot be mounted. That is, the regulating ridges 36, 36
Are prevented from being erroneously connected to each other by the restriction grooves 71, 71. In the case of FIG. 3,
When the front and back of the left end unit 11 are reversed, the state shown in FIG. 2 is obtained, and the core wires 16 of the left and right end units 11 correspond to each other.
