Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 複数のデータ記憶装置のデータ記憶に対してアカウントおよび請求費用 を自動的にきめる方法において、 1つもしくはそれ以上のサービスレベルのデータ記憶をデータ記憶装置にマッ ピングし、 該サービスレベルは様々なデータアクセスおよび検索速度を特徴付け、、 該サービスレベルマッピングに基づいて該データ記憶に対する請求費用を決め ることを特徴とする方法。 2. 該いくつかのサービスレベルにマッピングする該データ記憶のデータア クセスからの経過時間をコンピュータ処理することを特徴とする請求項1に記載 の方法。 3. 該コンピュータ処理された経過時間と該サービスレベルのマッピングに 基づいて、請求費用を決定するエレメントを決定することを特徴とする請求項2 に記載の方法。 4. 高速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第1のサービスレベルと、中間 のデータアクセスと検索速度に対する第2のサービスレベルと、低速のデータア クセスと検索速度に対する第3のサービスレベルを備えることを特徴とする請求 項1に記載の方法。 5. 該各データがデータ記憶にアクセスした後に該第1サービスレベルにあ った第1の日数を決定し、該各データがデータ記憶にアクセスした後に該第2サ ービスレベルにあった第2の日数を決定し、該各データがデータ記憶にアクセス した後に該第3サービスレベルにあった第3の日数を決定することを特徴とする 請求項3に記載の方法。 6. 各データが該データ記憶装置にアクセスした後に各サービスレベルにあ る日数を記述するデータ記憶計画を決定することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の 方法。 7. データセット名、記憶クラスおよび管理クラスを含む各データ記憶装置 にデータ記憶を記述するデータエレメントの予めきめられたセットを受け取るこ と、 データセット名に基づいてアカウントコードを決定するためのアカウントコー ドテーブルにアクセスすること、 該記憶クラス、管理クラス、および該サービスレベルマッピングに基づいて請 求費用をきめるエレメントを決定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 8. ボリュームシリアル番号を受け取ること、 該ボリュームシリアル番号を割り当てるための献呈ボリュームテーブルにアク セスすること、 該ボリュームシリアル番号がそこに割り当てられている時、献呈ボリュームテ ーブルから請求費用をきめるエレメントを得ることを特徴とする請求項7に記載 の方法。 9. 予めきめられたフォーマットをもち、そして各データ記憶装置に該デー タ記憶を記述する複数のデータエレメントの予め決められたセットをもつ複数の レコードを読み、 該複数のレコードの各々を処理し、そして該サービスレベルのマッピングと該 データエレメントに基づいて請求費用を決定するように各々にエレメントを付加 し、 該複数のレコードを出力することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 10. 一般的な報告を出力することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 11. 複数のデータ記憶装置に記憶されたデータに対するアカウントティング および請求費用を自動的に決める方法において、 最後のデータアクセス日からのデータアクセス経過時間に基づいて一つもしく はそれ以上のサービスレベルに記憶されたデータをマッビングし、該サービスレ ベルはデータアクセスと応答速度を特徴付け、 該サービスレベルマッピングに基づいて該データ記憶に対して請求費用を決め ることを特徴とする方法。 12. 最後のデータアクセス日からの該経過時間をコンピュータ処理し、 該コンピュータ処理時間と該サービスレベルマッピングに基づいて請求費用を きめることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 13. 高速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第1サービスレベルを決定し、 中速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第2サービスレベルを決定し、 低速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第3サービスレベルを決定し、 該データは最後のデータアクセス日からの第1の予め決められた日数だけ第1 のレベルにあり、その後の第2の予め決められた日数だけ第2のサービスレベル にあり、、およびその後の第3の予め決められた日数だけ該第3のサービスレベ ルにあることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 14. 各データアクセスの後に該データ記憶が各サービスレベルにある日数を 記述するデータ記憶計画を決定することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 15. データセット名、記憶クラス、そして管理クラスを含む該データ記憶装 置の該データ記憶を記述するデータエレメントの予め決められたセットを受け取 り、 該データセット名に基づいてアカウントコードを決定するためにアカウントコ ードテーブルにアクセスし、 該記憶クラス、管理クラスおよび該サービスレベルマッピングを決定すること を特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 16. ボリュームシリアル番号を受け取り、 該ボリュームシリアル番号を割り当てるための献呈ボリュームテーブルにアク セスし、 該ボリュームシリアル番号がそこに割当てられている時、献呈ボリュームテー ブルから請求費用をきめるエレメントを得ることを特徴とする請求項15に記載 の方法、 17. 予めきめられたフォーマットおよび各データ記憶装置のデータ記憶を記 述するデータエレメントの予め決められたセットをもつ複数のレコードを読み、 該複数のレコードの各々を処理し、および該サービスレベルマッピングと該デ ータエレメントに基づいて請求費用を決定するようにエレメントを付加し、そし て、該複数のレコードを出力することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 18. データ記憶装置を記述するデータエレメントのセットを与えるユーティ リティソフトウェアによりモニターされる複数のデータ記憶装置のデータ記憶に 対してアカウンティグと請求費用をきめることを特徴とする方法において、 該ユーティリティソフトウェアにより生成されたデータエレメントの選択セッ トをフォーマッティングし、 該複数のレコードを読み、 該複数のレコードの各々を処理し、いくつかのサービスレベの一つにデータ記 憶をマッピングし、該サービスレベルは様々なデータアクセスと検索速度を特徴 付け、 該複数のレコードを処理し、そしていくつかのサービスレベルの一つにデータ 記憶をマッピングし、該いくつかのレベルは様々なデータ記憶をマッピングし、 該いくつかのレベルは様々なデータアクセスと検束速度を特徴付け、 該サービスレベルのマッピングと該データエレメントの選択セットに基づいて 請求費用を決定するように各レコードにエレメントを付け加え、 該複数のレコードを出力することを特徴とする方法。 19. 最後のデータアクセスと現在データを受け取り、 該サービスレベルをマッピングするためのデータ記憶の最新のデータアクセス 日からの経過時間をコンピュータ処理することを特徴とする請求項18に記載の 方法。 20. コンピュータ処理された時間の経過と該サービスレールのマッピングに 基づいて請求費用をきめるエレメントを決定することを特徴とする請求項19に 記載の方法。 21. 高速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第1のサービスレベルを定義し 、 中速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第2のサービスレベルを定義し、 低速データアクセスと検索速度に対する第3のサービスレベルを定義すること を特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。 22. 該データ記憶が該第1サービスレベルにある各データアクセスの後の第 1の日数を決定し、 該データ記憶が該第2サービスレベルにある各データアクセスの後の第2の日 数を決定し、 該データ記憶が該第3サービスレベルにある各データアクセスの後の第3の日 数を決定することを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。 23. 該データ記憶が各アクセスレベルにある日数を記述するデータ記憶計画 を決定することを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。 24. データセット名、計画クラス、および管理クラスを含むデータエレメン トの該選択セットを受け取り、 データセット名に基づいてアカウントコードを決定するためのアカウントテーブ ルにアクセスし、 該記憶クラス、管理クラス、および該サービスレベルマッピングに基づいて請 求費用をきめるエレメントを決定することを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法 。 25. ボリュームシリアル番号を受け取り、 該ボリュームシリアル番号に対する献呈ボリュームテーブルにアクセスするこ と、 ボリュームシリアル番号がそこにある時、該献呈ボリュームテーブルから対応 する請求費用をきめるエレメントを得ることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方 法。 26. データ記憶ユーティリテイソフトウェアにより生成された複数のデータ エレメントを受け取るためのデータエレメント受信装置、該データエレメントは データ記憶利用を記述し、該データエレメント受信装置は該データエレメント、 該データセット名、ボリュームシリアル番号、および記憶クラスをもつ複数のレ コードを生成し、 データセット名に基づいてアクセスコードを備えるアクセスコードテーブル、 記憶クラスに基づくサービスレベルマッピングを備える記憶クラステーブル、 該サービスレベルマッピングは請求費用をきめるエレメントを備えることを特徴 とするデータ記憶のアカウンティングおよび請求費用をきめるシステム、 27. 該受信したボリュームシリアル番号に基づく請求費用をきめるエレメン トを備える献呈ボリュームテーブルを備えることを特徴とする請求項26に記載 のシステム。 28. 該受信データエレメントは、管理クラスを含み、そして該記憶クラステ ーブルは、記憶および管理クラスに基づいてサービスレベルマッピングを提供す る記憶/管理クラステーブルであることを特徴とする請求項26に記載のシステ ム。 29. 該記憶/管理クラステーブルは、第1のサービスレベルにおいて費やさ れた最後のアクセス日からの第1の日数に対する第1の請求費用をきめるエレメ ント、第2のサービスレベルにその後あった第2の日数に対する第2の請求費用 をきめるエレメント、第3のサービスレベルにその後あった第3の日数に対する 第3の請求費用をきめるエレメントを含むことを特徴とする請求項28に記載の システム。
