- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.芳香族炭化水素の変換を行う方法であって、前記変換はアルキル化、アルキ ル交換、又は異性化反応であり、(i)アルキル化変換条件下で、ゼオライトと 結合したゼオライト触媒を芳香族炭化水素及び少なくとも一つのオレフィン を含む原料流れと接触させるか、又は(ii)アルキル交換条件下で、ゼオライ トと結合したゼオライト触媒と、それぞれ2乃至4の炭素原子を有する少な くとも二つのアルキル基を含むポリアルキル芳香族炭化水素を含む芳香族炭 化水素原料流れと接触させるか、又は(iii)異性化条件下で、ゼオライトと結 合したゼオライト触媒と、異性化可能な単環式アルキル芳香族炭化水素、異 性化可能な二環式アルキル芳香族炭化水素、またはこれらの混合物を含む原 料流れと接触させることを含み、触媒は、非ゼオライト結合剤を十分量含ま ず、 (a)大きい孔径の第一のゼオライトの第一の結晶、及び (b)第二のゼオライトの第二の結晶を含む結合剤を含む、 方法。 2.第二の結晶が互いに交わり、少なくとも部分的に第一の結晶上に被覆を形成 する、請求項1記載の方法。 3.触媒が、第一のゼオライト及び第二のゼオライトの組み合わせた量を基にし て5重量%未満の非ゼオライト結合剤を含む、請求項1又は2記載の方法。 4.第一の結晶が、0.1ミクロンよりも大きい平均粒子径を有し、第二の粒子 が第一の結晶よりも小さい平均粒子径を有する、請求項1乃至3のいずれか 1請求項記載の方法。 5.第一の結晶の平均粒子径が1乃至6ミクロン及び/又は第二の結晶の平均粒 子径は0.1乃至0.5ミクロンである、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1請求項記 載の方法。 6.第一のゼオライト及び/又は第二のゼオライトが、それぞれ独立して、以下 のモル関係、 X2O3:(n)YO2 (式中、Xはアルミニウム、ホウ素、及び/又はガリウムであり、Yはケイ 素、スズ、及び/又はゲルマニウムであり、nは2よりも大きい値である) を有する組成物である、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 7.第一のゼオライトがアルミノケイ酸塩ゼオライトであり、2:1乃至 150:1のアルミナに対するシリカのモル非を有する、請求項1乃至請求 項6のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 8.第一のゼオライト及び第二のゼオライトが、それぞれ独立して、MAZ、 MEI、AFI、EMT、OFF、BEA、及びMORからなる構造群から 選択される、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 9.第二のゼオライトが第一のゼオライトと同一の構造を有する、請求項1乃至 請求項8のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 10.変換がアルキル化(i)を含む、請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか1請求項記 載の方法。 11.芳香族炭化水素がベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、又はこれらの二つ以上の 混合物である、請求項10記載の方法。 12.オレフィンが、エチレン、プロピレン、1−ブテン、トランス−2−ブテン 、シス−2−ブテン、1−ペンテン、1−ヘキセン、1−オクテン、1−ノネ ン、1−デセン、1−ウンデセン、1−ドデセン、1−トリデセン、又はこ れらの二つ以上の混合物である、請求項10又は請求項11記載の方法。 13.原料流れが、少なくとも4:1のオレフィンに対する芳香族炭化水素のモル 比を有する、請求項10、請求項11、又は請求項12記載の方法。 14.変換条件が、37乃至316℃(100乃至600°F)の温度、及び/又 は0.34乃至6.90MPag(50乃至1000psig)、及び/又は0 .5乃至50の重量時空間速度を含む、請求項10乃至13のいずれか1請求 項記載の方法。 15.変換が、アルキル交換(ii)を含む、請求項1乃至9のいずれか1請求項記載 の方法。 16.第一のゼオライト及び/又は第二のゼオライトがBEA又はMAZである、 請求項15記載の方法。 17.ポリアルキル芳香族炭化水素が、ジメチルベンゼン、トリメチルベンゼン、 ジエチルベンゼン、トリエチルベンゼン、ジエチルメチルベンゼン、ジイソ プロピルベンゼン、トリイソプロピルベンゼン、ジイソプロピルトルエン、 ジブチルベンゼン、又はこれらの二つ以上の混合物である、請求項15又は 請求項16記載の方法。 18.原料流れが、1:1乃至50:1のポリアルキル芳香族炭化水素に対する芳 香族炭化水素のモル比を有する、請求項15、請求項16、又は請求項17 記載の方法。 19.変換条件が、37乃至316℃(100乃至600°F)の温度、及び/又 は0.34乃至6.90MPag(50乃至1000psig)、及び/又は0 .5乃至50の重量時空間速度を含む、請求項15乃至18のいずれか1請求 項記載の方法。 20.変換が異性化(iii)を含む、請求項1乃至9のいずれか1請求項記載の方法 。 21.第一のゼオライトが、MOR構造型及び/又は第二のゼオライトがBEA型 である、請求項20記載の方法。 22.第二の結晶が、第一の結晶の重量を基にして10乃至60重量%の量で存在 する、請求項20乃至請求項21記載の方法。 23.第一のゼオライトが、少なくとも部分的に水素型である、請求項20、請求 項21、又は請求項22記載の方法。 24.第二のゼオライトが、第一のゼオライトよりも低い酸性を有する、請求項 20乃至請求項23のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 25.ゼオライトと結合するゼオライト触媒が、さらに少なくとも一つの水素添加 金属を含む、請求項20乃至24のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 26.異性化条件が、250℃乃至600℃の温度、及び/又は20kPa乃至 5.07MPa(0.2乃至50絶対圧力)、及び/又は0.1乃至100の重 量時空間速度、及び/又は0.1乃至10の水素/炭化水素モル比を含む、請 求 項20乃至25のいずれか1請求項記載の方法。 27.芳香族炭化水素が、 (a)以下の式、 (式中、各R1はそれぞれ、1乃至4の炭素原子を有するアルキル基、及 びxは2又は3)で表わされる単環式芳香族炭化水素、及び (b)以下の式 (R2及びR3は、それぞれ1乃至4の炭素原子を有するアルキル基であ り、yとzの合計が2、3、又は4であることを条件として、y及びzは、 それぞれ、0、1、又は2である)で表わされる二環式芳香族炭化水素か らなる群から選択される、請求項20乃至26のいずれか1請求項記載の 方法。 28.原料が、式I(式中R1はメチル又はエチル及びxは2である)の単環式ア ルキル芳香族炭化水素を含む、請求項27記載の方法。 29.原料が、式II(式中R2及びR3はぞれぞれメチル、yは1及びzは1であ る)の二環式アルキル芳香族炭化水素を含む、請求項27又は請求項28記 載の方法。 30.原料が、エチルベンゼン及びキシレンの芳香族C8混合物であり、パラキシ レン濃度が、熱力学的平衡量よりも少ない、請求項20乃至28のいずれか 1請求項記載の方法。 31.多量の非ゼオライト結合剤を含まず、 (a)MAZ、EMT、及びMORからなる群から選択される、大きい細孔径の 第一のゼオライトの第一の結晶、及び (b)第二のゼオライトの第二の結晶を含む結合剤 を含む、ゼオライトと結合したゼオライト触媒。 32.第二の結晶が、互いに交わり、少なくとも部分的に第一の結晶上に被覆を形 成する、請求項31記載の触媒。 33.第二の結晶が、摩擦耐性である、請求項31又は請求項32記載の触媒。 34.第一のゼオライト及び第二のゼオライトの組み合わせた重量を基に、5重 量%未満の非ゼオライト結合剤を含む、請求項31乃至33のいずれか1請 求項記載の触媒。 35.第一の触媒が、0.1ミクロンよりも大きい平均粒子径を有し、第二の結晶 が、第一の結晶よりも小さい平均粒子径を有する、請求項31乃至34のい ずれか1請求項記載の触媒。 36.第一の結晶の平均粒子径が1乃至6ミクロンであり、第二の結晶の平均粒子 径が0.1乃至0.5ミクロンである、請求項35記載の方法。 37.第一のゼオライトと第二のゼオライトの構造型が同一であり、好ましくは MORである、請求項31乃至36のいずれか1請求項記載の触媒。 38.第一のゼオライト及び/又は第二のゼオライトが、アルミノケイ酸ゼオライ ト及び/又はガリウムケイ酸塩ゼオライトである、請求項31乃至37のい ずれか1請求項記載の触媒。 39.押出し中のシリカを第二のゼオライトへ変換することにより、第一のゼオラ イトの第一の結晶を含むシリカの結合した押出し物から製造することが可能 な、請求項31乃至請求項38のいずれか1請求項記載の触媒。
