Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.組成物であって; (a)ポリエステル、すなわち、該組成物の総重量の約50〜約95%を占め、かつ 約10,000〜約50,000の重量平均分子量、約−30℃〜約120℃のガラス転移温度、2 00℃にて約10〜約100Pa.sまたは240℃にて約25〜約200Pa.sの溶融粘度、200℃に て約20〜約800g/10分のメルトフローインデックス、および約120℃〜約200℃ の軟化点を有ずるポリエステル、および、 (b)改質樹脂、すなわち、該組成物の総重量の0〜約25%を占め、かつ、約500 〜約15,000のエポキシ当量を有するエポキシまたはフェノキシ樹脂、約15,000〜 約100,000の重量平均分子量を有するアクリル樹脂、約15,000〜約1,000,000の重 量平均分子量を有するポリオレフィン、およびこれらの混合物からなるグループ から選択される改質樹脂、および、 (c)該組成物の総重量の0〜約50%を占める無機充填剤、および、 (d)該組成物の総重量の0〜約4%を占める流れ調整剤、および、 (e)該組成物の総重量の0〜約50%を占める第二の改質ポリマーを含み、 前記組成物が押出されたフィルムの形態である組成物。 2.前記組成物が、二つもしくはそれ以上のポリエステルを含む請求の範囲第1 項に記載の組成物。 3.金属下地を被覆する方法であって、以下の工程、すなわち、 (a)金属下地を加熱し、すなわち、前加熱した金属下地を得るために、金属下 地を約120℃〜約250℃の温度にまで加熱し、 (b)固形の熱可塑性被覆用組成物を加熱し、すなわち、被覆用組成物を融解し 、そして融解した被覆用組成物を得るために、該被覆用組成物が融解するに十分 な温度にまで加熱し、かつ前記被覆用組成物が: (i)ポリエステル、すなわち、該組成物の総重量の約50〜約100%を占める、 約10,000〜約50,000の重量平均分子量、約−30℃〜約120℃のガラス転移温度、2 00℃にて約10〜約100Pa.sまたは240℃にて約25〜約20OPa.sの溶融粘度、200℃に て約20〜約800g/10分のメルトフローインデックス、および約120℃〜約200℃ の軟化点を有するポリエステル、および、 (ii)改質樹脂、すなわち、該組成物の総重量の0〜約25%を占め、かつ、約 500〜約15,000のエポキシ当量を有するエポキシまたはフェノキシ樹脂、約15,00 0〜約100,000の重量平均分子量を有するアクリル樹脂、約15,000〜約1,000,000 の重量平均分子量を有するポリオレフィン、およびこれらの混合物からなるグル ープから選択される改質樹脂を含み、 (c)融解した被覆用組成物を前加熱した金属下地に押し出し、すなわち、前加 熱した金属下地上に約1〜約40ミクロンの厚みの融解した被覆用組成物の層を得 、そして、被覆した金属下地を得るために、融解した被覆用組成物を前加熱した 金属下地に押し出し、および、 (d)該被覆した金属下地を冷却せしめる、 工程を含む金属下地を被覆する方法。 4.前記方法が、工程(d)にて冷却した被覆した金属下地を、約250℃〜約550℃ の温度で、約5〜約30秒間加熱する工程をさらに含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の 方法。 5.前記熱可塑性の被覆用組成物が、 (iii)該組成物の総重量の0〜約50%を占める無機充填剤、および、 (iv)該組成物の総重量の0〜約4%を占める流れ調整剤、をさらに含む請求 の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 6.前記熱可塑性の被覆用組成物が、該組成物の総重量の0〜約50%を占める第 二の改質ポリマーをさらに含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 7.前記第二の改質ポリマーが、熱可塑性ポリマーである請求の範囲第6項に記 載の方法。 8.前記第二の改質ポリマーが、熱硬化性ポリマーである請求の範囲第6項に記 載の方法。 9.前記金属下地が、アルミニウム、錫を含まない鋼(スチール)、錫メッキし た鋼、亜鉛メッキした鋼、亜鉛合金メッキした鋼、鉛メッキした鋼、鉛合金メッ キした鋼、アルミニウムメッキした鋼、アルミニウム合金メッキした鋼およびス テンレス鋼からなるグループから選択される請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 10.前記被覆用組成物が、工程(b)にて、約180℃〜約240℃の温度にまで加熱さ れる請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 11.前記被覆用組成物が、該被覆用組成物の融点より最大で100℃高い温度で加 熱される請求の範囲第10項に記載の方法。 12.前記被覆用組成物が、有機溶媒を含まない請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 13.前記被覆用組成物が、該組成物の総重量の約60〜約85%を占めるポリエステ ルを含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 14.前記ポリエステルが、約15,000〜約40,000の重量平均分子量を有する請求の 範囲第3項に記載の方法。 15.前記ポリエステルが、0〜約150mg KOH(水酸化カリウム)/gの酸価と、0 〜約150mg KOH/gのヒドロキシル価を有する請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 16.前記ポリエステルが、約15℃〜約100℃のガラス転移温度を有する請求の範 囲第3項に記載の方法。 17.前記被覆用組成物が、二つもしくはそれ以上のポリエステルを含む請求の範 囲第3項に記載の組成物。 18.前記ポリエステルが、200℃にて約20〜約100Pa.sまたは240℃にて約40〜約1 75Pa.sの溶融粘度を有する請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 19.前記ポリエステルが、200℃にて約25〜約600g/10分のメルトフローインデ ックスを有する請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 20.前記ポリエステルが、(i)ジカルボン酸またはエステル化可能なジカルボン 酸の誘導体、および(ii)脂肪族ジオール、すなわち、ジカルボン酸またはジカル ボン酸誘導体の少なくとも60モル%が芳香族ジカルボン酸である脂肪族ジオール との縮合物を含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 21.前記芳香族ジカルボン酸が、フタル酸、イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸、ナフ タレンジカルボン酸およびこれらの混合物からなるグループから選択される請求 の範囲第20項に記載の方法。 22.前記ポリエステルが、(i)ジカルボン酸またはエステル化可能なジカルボン 酸の誘導体、および(ii)約150〜約500のエポキシ当量を有する低分子量エポキシ 樹脂との反応生成物を含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 23.前記ポリエステルが、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタ レート、ポリエチレンナフタレート、ポリブチレンナフタレート、コポリエステ ル、およびこれらの混合物からなるグループから選択される請求の範囲第3項に 記載の方法。 24.前記被覆用組成物が、該組成物の総重量の約2〜約20%を占める改質樹脂を 含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 25.前記改質樹脂が、約2000〜約8000のエポキシ当量を有するエポキシ樹脂を含 む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 26.前記エポキシ樹脂が、エポキシ樹脂1分子当たり平均で約1.5〜約2.5のエポ キシ基を有する固形物質である請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 27.前記エポキシ樹脂が、エポキシ樹脂1分子当たり平均で約2.5〜約6のエポ キシ基を有する固形物質である請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 28.前記エポキシ樹脂が、エポキシ樹脂1分子当たり約1.5〜約2.5のエポキシ基 を有するエポキシ樹脂と、エポキシ樹脂1分子当たり約2.5〜約6のエポキシ基 を有するエポキシ樹脂との混合物を含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 29.前記エポキシ樹脂が、芳香族エポキシ樹脂である請求の範囲第3項に記載の 方法。 30.前記芳香族エポキシ樹脂が、ビスフェノールAまたはビスフェノールFに基 づく樹脂である請求の範囲第29項に記載の方法。 31.前記改質樹脂が、約20,000〜約80,000の重量平均分子量を有するアクリル樹 脂である請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 32.前記アクリル樹脂が、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリル酸のエステル、 メタクリル酸のエステル、アクリルアミドおよびメタクリルアミドのホモポリマ ーならびにコポリマーのホモポリマーまたはコポリマーである請求の範囲第3項 に記載の方法。 33.前記改質樹脂が、約25,000〜約750,000の重量平均分子量を有するポリオレ フィン樹脂である請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 34.前記ポリオレフィン樹脂が、エチレン、プロピレン、エチレン−プロピレン の混合物、1-ブテンおよび1-ペンテンのホモポリマーまたはコポリマーである請 求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 35.前記ポリオレフィン樹脂が、官能性を備えたオレフィンを含む請求の範囲第 3項に記載の方法。 36.前記融解した被覆用組成物が、前加熱した金属下地の対面に押し出される請 求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 37.前記融解した被覆用組成物の層が、約2〜約30ミクロンの厚みを有する請求 の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 38.前記融解した被覆用組成物の層が、約1〜約10ミクロンの厚みを有する請求 の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 39.前記融解した被覆用組成物が、スクリューとダイを含む押出機によって、ダ イに対して相対的に移動する、前加熱した金属下地に押し出される請求の範囲第 3項に記載の方法。 40.前記スクリューが、一軸スクリュー、同方向回転タイプの二軸スクリュー、 または異方向回転タイプの二軸スクリューである請求の範囲第38項に記載の方法 。 41.前記加熱工程が、約300℃〜約500℃の温度で、約15〜約20秒間実施される請 求の範囲第4項に記載の方法。 42.前記被覆用組成物が、該組成物の総重量の0〜約20%を占める無機充填剤を 含む請求の範囲第5項に記載の方法。 43.前記無機充填剤が、粘土、雲母、珪酸アルミニウム、ヒュームドシリカ、酸 化マグネシウム、酸化亜鉛、酸化バリウム、硫酸カルシウム、酸化カルシウム、 酸化アルミニウム、酸化アルミニウムマグネシウム、酸化アルミニウム亜鉛、酸 化チタニウムマグネシウム、酸化チタニウム鉄、酸化チタニウムカルシウム、お よびこれらの混合物からなるグループから選択される請求の範囲第5項に記載の 方法。 44.前記流れ調整剤が、アクリル樹脂を含む請求の範囲第5項に記載の方法。 45.前記熱可塑性の被覆用組成物が、顔料、有機系染料またはこれらの混合物を さらに含む請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 46.前記第二の改質樹脂が、カルボキシル化したポリエステル、カルボキシル化 したポリオレフィン、ポリアミド、フルオロカーボン樹脂、ポリカーボネート、 スチレン樹脂、アクリロニトリル−ブタジエン−スチレン樹脂、塩素化ポリエー テル、ウレタン樹脂、およびこれらの混合物からなるグループから選択される請 求の範囲第6項に記載の方法。 47.前記第二の改質樹脂が、無光沢の外観を有する被覆した金属下地をもたらす ことができる請求の範囲第6項に記載の方法。 48.請求の範囲第3項に記載の被覆した金属下地を用いて加工形成した金属製品 。 49.請求の範囲第4項に記載の被覆した金属下地を用いて加工形成した金属製品 。 50.前記製品が、缶体、缶端、または容器用の金属製クロージャーである請求の 範囲第48項に記載の金属製品。
