このような光学活性カルボン酸クロリドの具体例としては、１−メチルフェニル酢酸クロリド等の１−アルキルフェニル酢酸クロリド類、１−エトキシフェニル酢酸クロリド等の１−アルコキシフェニル酢酸クロリド類、１−ホルミルオキシフェニル酢酸クロリド等のＯ−アシルマンデル酸クロリド類、１−ｐ-トルイルフェニル酢酸クロリド等の１−置換フェニルフェニル酢酸クロリド類、１−ベンジルフェニル酢酸クロリド等の１−アラルキルフェニル酢酸クロリド類の光学活性体を挙げることができる。ここで、光学活性体とは、（Ｒ）体、（Ｓ）体の何れの光学活性体も含むが、光学純度は９８％ｅｅ以上である。
