Abstract
【解決手段】水性分散物中でポリマー粒子を凝集及び合一して生成した粉末を、伝導性表面又は伝導性表面上の層に被覆することにより、表面又は層上にコーティングを生成する工程を含む。少なくとも樹脂粒子を含むポリマー粒子を水性分散物中で凝集する工程と、粒子を合一する工程と、粒子を分散物より取り出す工程と、によって粉末を生成する工程と、粉末を伝導性表面又は伝導性表面上の層に被覆する工程と、を含んでもよい。

Description
以下のようにして、89%のスチレン−アクリラートを主材料とする樹脂と、11%のシアン顔料(ピグメントブルー15:3、サン・ケミカルズ(Sun Chemicals)製)とから成る粉体粒子を調製した。
以下のようにして、スチレンと、ブチルアクリラートと、β−カルボキシルエチルアクリラート(β−CEA)との乳化重合より生成した、ポリマー粒子を含むラテックスエマルションを調製した。
ポリトロンを用いて5,000rpmの剪断速度でかき混ぜながら、室温(約25℃)で、540mlの水に、344.5gの上記(i)で調製したラテックスエマルションと、150gのシアン顔料の水分散物(49.8gの、青色顔料であるピグメントブルー15.3(サン・ケミカルズ製、固体負荷量(solids loading)35.5%)を含む)とを同時に加えた。この混合物に、10%の固体(2.6g)と、23.4gの0.2モルの硝酸とを含む、26gのポリ塩化アルミニウム(PAC)溶液を2分間かけて加え、5,000rpmの速度で2分間混合した。生成した混合物のpHは2.7であり、次にこれを2リットルの反応容器に移し、58℃の温度で60分間加熱して、粒径6.5μm、GSD1.19の凝集体を生成した。生成した混合物に、1.6gのスルホン化8−ヒドロキシキノリンを加えた後、4%水酸化ナトリウムの塩基性水溶液を用いてpHを2.7から7.9に調整し、この混合物を更に15分間撹拌した。続いて、生成した混合物を90℃に加熱し、そのまま1時間置いた。次に生成した混合物のpHを、5%の硝酸を用いて約7.6から約2.6へ下げた。95℃の温度で7時間(全体で)置いた後、光学顕微鏡で観察したところ、粒子の形は球状で、6.5μmの粒径と1.18のGSDとを持つものであった。次に反応器を室温まで放冷し、粒子を4回洗浄(最初の洗浄はpH11で行い、次の2回の洗浄は脱イオン水を用い、最後の洗浄はpH2で行った)した。次に粒子を凍結乾燥器で乾燥した。複合粒子は、89%のラテックス(A)の樹脂と、11%の前述のシアン顔料であるピグメントブルー15.3から成るものであった。
以下のようにして、95%のポリエステル樹脂と、6%のピグメントブルー15:3着色剤とを含む粉体組成物を調製した。
以下のようにして、0.465モル%のテレフタラートと、0.035モル%のナトリウム スルホイソフタラートと、0.475モル%の1,2−プロパンジオールと、0.025モル%のジエチレングリコールとから成るポリエステル樹脂を調製した。
15重量%の上記のナトリウムスルホン化ポリエステル樹脂を含むコロイド溶液2リットルを、撹拌機を取り付けた4リットルのケトルに入れた。これに、30重量%のピグメントブルー15:3(サン・ケミカルズ製)を含むシアン顔料分散物42gを加え、生成した混合物を56℃に加熱して約180〜200回転/分で撹拌した。次にこの加熱混合物に、5重量%の酢酸亜鉛二水和物を含む水溶液760gを滴下しながら加えた。酢酸亜鉛二水和物溶液の滴下は、蠕動ポンプを用いて添加速度約2.5ml/分で行った。添加完了後(約5時間)、更に3時間混合物を撹拌した。次に、反応混合物の試料(約1g)をケトルから採り、コールタカウンタで測定したところ、粒径は4.9μm、GSDは1.18であった。次に混合物を、室温(約25℃)まで放冷し、生成物を3μmの疎水性メンブランクロスで濾過し、凍結乾燥して粉末物質を得た。
以下のようにして、85%のエポキシ樹脂と、5%の二酸イミド(diacidimide)硬化剤と、10%の酸化チタンとから成る、硬化可能な粉体組成物を調製した。
Claims (3)
- 伝導性表面に、又は前記表面上の層に粉末を被覆し、前記表面又は前記層上にコーティングを形成する工程を含み、
前記粉末は、水性分散物中で粒子を凝集及び合一することによって生成し、
前記粒子は樹脂粒子を含む、粉体塗装法。 - i)少なくとも樹脂粒子を含む粒子を水性分散物中で凝集して凝集粒子を生成する工程と、
ii)前記凝集粒子を合一して融合粒子を生成する工程と、
iii)前記融合粒子を前記水性分散物より取り出して前記粉末を生成する工程と、を含む、粉末を生成するステップ(a)と、
前記粉末を、伝導性表面に、又は前記表面上の層に被覆し、前記表面又は前記層上にコーティングを生成するステップ(b)と、
を含む、粉体塗装法。 - 粉体塗装に使用するための粉末を含む粉体塗装アプリケータの製造方法であって、
a)少なくとも樹脂粒子を含む粒子を水性分散物中で凝集して凝集粒子を生成する工程と、
b)前記凝集粒子を合一して融合粒子を生成する工程と、
c)前記融合粒子を前記水性分散物より取り出して粉末を生成する工程と、
d)前記粉末を、粉体塗装に使用するためのアプリケータに装填する工程と、
を含む、方法。
