Abstract
【解決手段】 粒子線加速器は、真空室14と、真空室14に一定磁場を印加する磁石10と、真空室14内で磁石10の発生する磁界の方向に垂直な方向に電場を発生する加速用電極18と、真空室14で加速された荷電粒子を取り出す取り出し電極24と、取り出し電極24で取り出された荷電粒子が当る位置に設けられたターゲットセル26とからなる。ここで、粒子線加速器を構成する上記の各部の少なくとも1部が、銅より大きい原子番号の元素を含む材料からなる。

酸素生成システム製品説明書(Oxygen Generator System Product Description)(IBA社)
図1は、サイクロトロンの概略の構造を示し、図2は、その側面の概略の構造を示す。サイクロトロンは、一定磁場を発生する電磁軟鋼の主電磁石10及び主コイル12と、その間に設置され、真空に保たれている空洞である真空槽(加速箱)14とを備える。主電磁石10は4つのセクター電磁石を含む。イオン源16から、真空槽14内のほぼ中央に荷電粒子(たとえば重陽子や陽子)を供給する。イオン源16は冷陰極型PIGイオン源である。真空槽14内に、1対のディー電極18を設置し、ディー電極18の間隙(ギャップ)に高周波電源20により発生される高周波電場を印加する。高周波電場を荷電粒子に作用させることにより、荷電粒子の周回運動を加速する。最大の円運動軌道(この半径を引き出し半径という)の外側に、円形運動をしているイオン(ビーム)22を外の方向に偏向させるためのビーム引出し装置であるデフレクタ24を設ける。そして、デフレクタ24の電極により引き出された荷電粒子が衝突する位置にターゲットセル(標的容器)26を設置する。さらに、サイクロトロン本体の側面側に遮蔽部28,30を設ける。
Claims (8)
- 真空室と、
真空室に一定磁場を印加する磁石と、
真空室内で磁石の発生する磁界の方向に垂直な方向に電場を発生する加速用電極と、
真空室で加速された荷電粒子を取り出す取り出し電極と、
取り出し電極で取り出された荷電粒子が当る位置に設けられたターゲットセルと
からなる粒子線加速器であって、
粒子線加速器を構成する上記の真空室、加速用電極、取り出し電極及び/またはターゲットセルの、荷電粒子に曝される表面の少なくとも1部が、銅より大きい原子番号の元素を含む材料からなることを特徴とする粒子線加速器。 - 粒子線加速器を構成する上記の真空室、加速用電極、取り出し電極及び/またはターゲットセルの、荷電粒子に曝される面の少なくとも1部が前記の材料のシートで覆われていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された粒子線加速器。
- 前記の材料のシートは、加速された重陽子がその内部で止まる厚さを備えることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載された粒子線加速器。
- 前記の少なくとも一部はターゲットセルのターゲット窓を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載された粒子線加速器。
- 前記の材料は、3.5MeVの重陽子ビームの中性子発生量が2.5×10−1Sv/h/μA/sr以下の材料であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された粒子線加速器。
- 前記の材料は、3.5MeVの重陽子ビームの中性子発生量が2.5×10-2Sv/h/μA/sr以下の材料であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載された粒子線加速器。
- 前記のターゲットセルが、粒子線加速器の他の部分と離れて設置され、さらに、ターゲットセルの周囲に、ターゲットセルで発生される放射線を遮蔽する遮蔽壁を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載された粒子線加速器。
- さらに、前記のターゲットセルにおいて生成された物質を原料として受け取って合成を行う合成装置と一体化されている請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載された粒子線加速器。
