Abstract
【解決手段】 基板と、基板の上に形成される薄膜トランジスタと、薄膜トランジスタを含む基板の全面に形成される平坦化膜80と、平坦化膜80の上に形成され、中央領域の表面よりエッジ領域の表面の高さが高く形成されてなる第1電極20と、第1電極20の上に形成される有機発光層と、有機発光層の上に形成される第2電極とから構成される。

Claims (16)
- 基板と、
前記基板の上に形成される薄膜トランジスタと、
前記薄膜トランジスタを含む基板の全面に形成される平坦化膜と、
前記平坦化膜の上に形成され、中央領域の表面よりエッジ領域の表面の高さが高く形成されてなる第1電極と、
前記第1電極の上に形成される有機発光層と、
前記有機発光層の上に形成される第2電極と、
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光素子。 - 前記第1電極の表面は、凹状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極の断面は、半円形、シリンダー形、三角形、菱形のいずれかの形態を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極は、Cr、Al、Au、Mo、Ti、Agのうち、少なくともいずれか1種、またはそれらの合金からなる単一層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極は、少なくとも2層からなり、各層が同種または他種の物質からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極の厚さは、10〜1000Åであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 基板の上に薄膜トランジスタを形成するステップと、
前記薄膜トランジスタを含む基板の全面に平坦化膜を形成するステップと、
前記平坦化膜の上に引張応力をもつ金属物質を形成してパターニングし、凹状の表面を有する第1電極を形成するステップと、
前記第1電極の上に有機発光層を形成するステップと、
前記有機発光層の上に第2電極を形成するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光素子の製造方法。 - 前記第1電極を形成するステップは、
前記平坦化膜の上に引張応力をもつ金属物質を形成するステップと、
前記金属物質の上にマスクフィルムを形成し、前記マスクフィルムをパターニングするステップと、
前記パターニングしたマスクフィルムをマスクとして前記金属物質を除去するステップと、
前記金属物質の上に残留するマスクフィルムを除去し、凹状の表面を有する第1電極を形成するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。 - 前記引張応力をもつ金属物質は、Cr、Al、Au、Mo、Ti、Agのうち、少なくともいずれか1種、またはそれらの合金であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記引張応力をもつ金属物質は、常温で形成されるか、または常温以上の温度で形成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記常温以上の温度は、50〜400℃であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記常温で形成される金属物質はCrであり、前記常温以上の温度で形成される金属物質は、Al、Au、Mo、Ti、Agのうち、少なくともいずれか1種であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記マスクフィルムは、フォトレジストであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1電極はアノードであり、前記第2電極はカソードであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記金属物質の引張応力は、第1電極の形成時の圧力、パワー、ターゲットと基板との距離、温度、基板に加えるバイアス、基板の種類、蒸着物質のうち少なくとも一方を変化させて制御することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1電極は、電子ビーム工程、スパッタリング工程のうち少なくとも一方を用いて形成することを特徴とする有機電界発光素子の製造方法。
