Abstract
Description
Claims (13)
- ワイヤレス通信システムにおいてTDD(time division duplex)及びFDD(frequency division duplex)を統合する方法において、
RAB(radio access bearer)要求を、該要求に関する複数のパラメータとともに受信するステップと、
前記RAB要求に関連付けられた通信をサポートするのに必要なUL(uplink)接続及びDL(downlink)接続における対称性(symmetry)を推定するステップと、
前記UL及びDL接続の前記推定された対称性に基づいてTDD接続又はFDD接続のいずれかを選択するステップと
を備えたことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1において、前記TDD接続は、予め定めた閾値を超えるデータレートを有するRAB要求のために、選択されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1において、前記FDD接続は、音声アプリケーションに関連づけられたRAB要求のために、選択されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1において、
ひとたび初期接続がRAB要求に応答して確立されると、前記UL接続及びDL接続の対称性を定期的に評価するステップと、
前記対称性に基づいてTDDモードとFDDモードを切り換えるステップと
をさらに備えたことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1において、全てのRAB要求は、FDD RNC(radio network controller)を介して処理されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項5において、前記FDD RNCのみが、Iuインタフェースを介してCN(core network)に接続され、
前記TDD RNCは、前記FDD RNCを経由して間接的に前記CNに接続される
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項6において、前記FDD RNCは、すべての呼の接続及び切断を行うことを特徴とする方法。
- 通信システムにおいてTDD及びFDDを統合するシステムにおいて、
CN(core network)と、
TDD RNC(TDD radio network controller)と、
FDD RNC(FDD radio network controller)と、
RAB要求を受信するTDD−FDDセレクタであって、前記RAB割当て要求をサポートするのに必要なUL(uplink)接続及びDL(downlink)接続の対称性を推定し、かつ推定した対称性に基づいて、TDDモード又はFDDモードのいずれかに無線リソースを割り当てる決定を行うTDD−FDDセレクタと
を備えたことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項8において、TDD接続は、予め定めた閾値を超えるデータレートを有するRAB要求のために、選択されることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項8において、FDD接続は、音声アプリケーションに関連づけられたRAB要求のために、選択されることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項8において、前記TDD RNCと、前記FDD RNCと、前記TDD−FDDセレクタは、統合TDD/FDD RNCに統合されることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項8において、前記FDD RNCは、TDD S−RNC(TDD serving radio network controller)を含み、TDD Iurプロトコルをサポートするように構成されることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項12において、前記CN及び前記FDD RNCのみが、Iuインタフェースを介して接続され、RAB要求は、前記FDD RNCを介して処理されることを特徴とするシステム。
