Abstract
【解決手段】ポンプインペラ24及びタービンランナ25を備えたトーラス部と、変速装置の入力軸30に係合させられ、前記タービンランナ25を保持するタービンハブ44と、係脱自在に配設され、駆動源から伝達された回転を機械的にタービンハブ44に伝達するロックアップ装置51とを有する。そして、前記トーラス部とロックアップ装置51とは、軸方向においてオーバラップさせられる。この場合、前記トーラス部とロックアップ装置51とは、軸方向においてオーバラップさせられるので、流体伝動装置の軸方向の寸法を小さくすることができ、流体伝動装置を小型化することができる。

Claims (8)
- ポンプインペラ及びタービンランナを備えたトーラス部と、変速装置の入力軸に係合させられ、前記タービンランナを保持するタービンハブと、係脱自在に配設され、駆動源から伝達された回転を機械的にタービンハブに伝達するロックアップ装置とを有するとともに、前記トーラス部とロックアップ装置とは、軸方向においてオーバラップさせられることを特徴とする流体伝動装置。
- 前記ロックアップ装置は前記トーラス部より径方向内方に配設される請求項1に記載の流体伝動装置。
- 前記ロックアップ装置はクラッチドラムを備え、該クラッチドラムはタービンハブの一部を構成する請求項1に記載の流体伝動装置。
- フロントカバーに取り付けられたダンパ装置を有するとともに、前記ロックアップ装置は、前記ダンパ装置とタービンハブとを連結する請求項1に記載の流体伝動装置。
- 前記トーラス部及びロックアップ装置の係脱部材と隣接させてダンパ装置が配設される請求項4に記載の流体伝動装置。
- 係合側油室が、ロックアップ装置の係脱部材より径方向内方に形成される請求項1に記載の流体伝動装置。
- 係合側油室が、入力軸の外側に形成された油路と連通させられる請求項1に記載の流体伝動装置。
- 前記ロックアップ装置が解放させられたときに、フロントカバー、ポンプインペラ、タービンランナ、タービンハブ及び入力軸によって動力伝達経路が形成され、前記ロックアップ装置が係合させられたときに、フロントカバー、ダンパ装置、ロックアップ装置、タービンハブ及び入力軸によって動力伝達経路が形成される請求項4に記載の流体伝動装置。
