Abstract
【解決手段】少なくとも1つの記録層を有する光ディスクの管理領域内にディスク制御情報を形成する際に、前記管理領域内に少なくとも1つのディスク制御情報を備え、そのディスク制御情報は、記録層ごとに当該記録層内の適用可能な速度を備え、ディスク制御情報内には、適用可能な速度ごとに少なくとも1つの記録ストラテジ情報を記録することを特徴とし、この結果、規格化されたディスク制御情報を統一的に適用することで光ディスクの記録再生に効率よく対応できるようにする。

Claims (20)
- 1つ以上の記録層を持つ記録媒体に制御情報を記録する方法であって、この方法は
データの再生/記録を制御する制御情報を定めるステップと、
前記記録媒体の特定のエリアに、前記制御情報を記録するステップとから構成され、
前記制御情報は、その制御情報が適用される各記録層の識別データ(ID)と、各記録層に応じた記録パラメータとを含んでなる方法。 - 前記記録パラメータが、基本記録パラメータと、任意選択の記録パラメータと、を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御情報が、さらに、各記録層に適用可能な、少なくとも1つの記録速度を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御情報は、さらに、各記録層に応じた前記記録パラメータが存在するか否かを指示するための、1つ以上の識別子を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御情報を記録する前記ステップは、ユーザがデータを記録することができない記録不可能エリア上に、前記制御情報を記録するステップを含んでいる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御情報を記録する前記ステップは、ユーザがデータを記録することができる記録可能エリア上に、前記制御情報を記録するステップを含んでいる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1つ以上の記録層を持つ記録媒体であって、
各記録層にユーザ・データを記録するように構成されたデータ・エリアと、
前記ユーザ・データの再生/記録を制御するための制御情報を記憶するように構成された1つ以上の管理エリアであって、前記制御情報は、その制御情報が適用されている各記録層の識別データ(ID)と、各記録層に応じた記録パラメータと、を含む、管理エリアと、
を備えてなる記録媒体。 - 前記制御情報は、さらに、各記録層に応じた前記記録パラメータが存在するか否かを指示するための、1つ以上の識別子を含んでいる、請求項7に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記記録パラメータが、基本記録パラメータと、任意選択の記録パラメータと、を含む、請求項7に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記制御情報が、さらに、各記録層に適用可能な、少なくとも1つの記録速度を含んでいる、請求項7に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記記録媒体の前記管理エリアが、ユーザがデータを記録することができない記録不可能エリアである、請求項7に記載の記録媒体。

- 1つ以上の記録層を持つ記録媒体に制御情報を記録する装置であって、
データの再生/記録を制御する制御情報を定めるコントローラと、
前記記録媒体の特定のエリアに、前記制御情報を記録する記録ユニットとから構成され、前記制御情報は、その制御情報が適用される各記録層の識別データ(ID)と、各記録層に応じた記録パラメータとを有することを特徴とする装置。 - 前記記録パラメータが、基本記録パラメータと、任意選択の記録パラメータと、を含む、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記制御情報が、さらに、各記録層に適用可能な、少なくとも1つの記録速度を含む、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記制御情報は、さらに、各記録層に応じた前記記録パラメータが存在するか否かを指示するための、1つ以上の識別子を含む、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記記録ユニットは、ユーザがデータを記録することができない記録不可能エリア上に、前記制御情報を記録する、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記記録ユニットは、ユーザがデータを記録することができる記録可能エリア上に、前記制御情報を記録する、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラが、インターフェイス・ユニットを介して、前記記録ユニットと連絡する、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記記録ユニットは、前記コントローラの前記制御にしたがって前記制御情報を書き込むように、前記記録ユニットを制御するマイクロコンピュータを備えている、請求項19に記載の装置。
