Abstract
【解決手段】自動二輪車のエンジンEの排気通路38におけるマフラ36の上流側に配置される排気チャンバ34であって、内部に膨張室41〜43を有するチャンバ本体40と、チャンバ本体40から排気ガスGを排出するチャンバ出口管46とを備え、チャンバ出口管46に、その内側の出口通路の通路面積を調節する排気制御弁72が設けられている。

Claims (7)
- 自動二輪車のエンジンの排気通路におけるマフラの上流側に配置される排気チャンバであって、
内部に膨張室を有するチャンバ本体と、
前記チャンバ本体から排気ガスを排出するチャンバ出口管とを備え、
前記チャンバ出口管に、その内側の出口通路の通路面積を調節する排気制御弁が設けられている自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。 - 請求項1において、さらに、前記チャンバ本体から上流側に突出し、排気ガスを前記チャンバ本体内に流入させるチャンバ入口管と、
前記チャンバ本体の内部に配置されて、前記チャンバ入口管を通った排気ガスを前記チャンバ本体内に導入する導入管とを有し、
前記導入管の内側の導入通路に、排気ガスを浄化する触媒ユニットが配置されている自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。 - 請求項2において、前記チャンバ入口管に、前記排気通路内の排気ガスの成分を検出するセンサが取り付けられている自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。
- 請求項3において、前記チャンバ入口管は、前記エンジンの下部の後方に位置して車体の前後方向に延びており、前記センサが斜め上方外側方に突出するように取り付けられている自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。
- 請求項2,3または4において、前記触媒ユニットの触媒担体と同じ材料からなる自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項において、前記チャンバ出口管は車体の側方で前記エンジンと後輪の間に位置して後方に延びており、
前記排気制御弁はバタフライ弁であり、前記バタフライ弁の弁軸が弁軸の操作部が車体中心に近づくように車体内側に傾いている自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか一項において、前記チャンバ本体の内部には複数の膨張室と共鳴室とが配置され、最下流側の膨張室と前記共鳴室とが連通している自動二輪車の排気チャンバ。
