Abstract

【課題】輪郭表面の完全に一様な照明を含む、要求される照明を達成することができる、ライトガイドモジュールの提供。
【解決手段】本発明は、輪郭表面（Ｔ）の調節可能な照明を備えたライトガイドモジュールは、光源（１）と、ライトガイド（２）と、から構成される。ライトガイド（２）は、第１部分（３）と、Ｙ形状分岐部（４）と、輪郭表面（Ｔ）を有する第２部分（５）と、から構成され、ライトガイド（２）のＹ形状分岐部（４）の支持表面は、方向光学素子（Ｓｉ）のシステムから構成され、プリズム形状、円錐形状又はこれらの組み合わせであり、ライトガイド（２）の第１部分（３）の光軸上にその頂点を有する。

Description

本発明は、車両の内部及び外部の信号照明の構造に関し、具体的には、光源とライトガイドとから成る、輪郭表面の調整可能な照明を備えたライトガイドモジュールに関する。
ダッシュボード又は他の内装品の照明の一様性は、通常、内部の信号照明の分野において重大要因である。前部及び後部の輪郭ライト、方向指示器用ライト又は日中走行用ライトは、車両の外観特徴を強調するために使用されるので、均一性の要件はまた外部の信号照明にとっても絶対不可欠になりつつある。これらの目的のため、発光ダイオード（ＬＥＤ）を備えるライトガイド構成要素が光源として一般的に使用される。
要求される外観に従って作製されるライトガイド構成要素は、直線状基部又は平面状基部を有することがある。
直線状のライトガイド構成要素は、ライトガイド軸の方向の片側又は両側に、即ち、通常は照明方向に対して垂直方向に、追加することができる。この手法の欠点は、比較的小さい直径を有する複雑な輪郭形状の場合には使用できないことである。
平面状のライトガイド構成要素は通常、いくつかのＬＥＤを備えて提供され、その軸は、照明方向に一致する。出現する光線について要求される均一性を実現するために、内部表面上に平行光学素子を、又は出口表面上に適切な構造の光学素子を使用することがある。この手法の欠点は、出口表面全体に沿って配列される多数のＬＥＤにある。
本発明の課題は、輪郭表面の完全に一様な照明を含む、要求される照明を達成することができる、ライトガイドモジュールである。
これに従い、本発明の輪郭表面の調整可能な照明を備えたライトガイドモジュールは、光源と、ライトガイドと、から構成される。ライトガイドは、第１部分と、Ｙ形状分岐部と、輪郭表面を有する第２部分と、から構成される。ライトガイドのＹ形状分岐部の支持表面は、方向光学素子のシステムから構成され、プリズム形状、円錐形状又はこれらの組み合わせであり、ライトガイドの第１部分の光軸上にその頂点を有する。
光源として、ライトガイドの第１部分の後方に位置付けられる発光ダイオード（ＬＥＤ）は、次の様式で使用される。円錐形状に構成されるＹ形状分岐部の中で終端する第１部分の後方には、プリズム形状に構成されるＹ形状分岐部の中で終端する第１部分の後方に位置付けられる発光ダイオード（ＬＥＤ）が有するよりも高い光束を備える発光ダイオード（ＬＥＤ）が位置している。
ライトガイドの第１のエッジは、平行構成要素を備える。
方向光学素子は、平面状表面、円筒状表面又は非一様有理ベーススプライン表面（non-uniform rational base splines：ＮＵＲＢＳ）によって形成され、その形状は、エントリ領域Ｓ及びＳ上への入射Ｆ［ｌｘ］の形状、ならびに出口領域Ｔ及びＴ上への出射Ｇ［ｌｘ］の形状によって画定される。
図２に図示されるように、領域Ｓ、Ｔは、曲線φ（ｓ）、γ（ｔ）によって表すことができ、ｓ及びｔは、曲線φ、γの自然パラメータを表す。次に、領域Ｓ、Ｔ内の照度Ｆ、Ｇは、次の式に従って、曲線φ、γに沿って関数ｆ（ｓ）、ｇ（ｔ）によって置換することができる。
式中、Ｓε（ｓ）、Ｔε（ｔ）は、厚さε及び幅Ｗを有するφ（ｓ）、γ（ｔ）周囲のＳ、Ｔの面積である。プリズムの形状のｔにおけるＹ形状分岐部の場合、ｆ（ｓ）＝Ｆ（φ（ｓ））Ｗ、ｇ（ｔ）＝Ｇ（γ（ｔ））Ｗの関係が得られる。
この表記法に従って、曲線φのパラメータ［ｓi，ｓi+1］の区間によって画定される領域Ｓｉは、曲線γのパラメータ［ｔi，ｔi+1］、ｔi＝ｔ（ｓi）、ｔi+1＝ｔ（ｓi+1）及び以下の式に関して、領域Ｔｉに対応し、
式中、βは素材の吸光係数、ｘ（ｓ，ｔ）は点φ（ｓ）、γ（ｔ（ｓ））の間の距離である。
をエネルギー飽和係数とする。Ｂ＝１の状態は、必要とされるだけのエネルギーが、領域Ｓから領域Ｔへ利用可能であることを意味する。Ｂ＞１の場合、領域Ｔにおいて光エネルギーが過剰である。Ｂ＜１の場合、領域Ｔにおいて光エネルギーが不足している。そのような場合、変形された式ｇ（ｔ）＝Ｂｇ（ｔ）を用いて作業できる。関数ｔ（ｓ）であるので、Ｂは素材における吸光の関数であることに注意することが必要である。以下、Ｂ＝１であると仮定する。
（Ｑ１）を並べ替えることによって、所望の関数ｔ＝ｔ（ｓ）のための方程式が得られる。
素材において損失が一定の場合、（Ｑ２）の一般的な解、
は、次の形にすることができる。
式中、定数Ｃは、曲線γの開始点の選択によって確定される。方程式（Ｑ２）、（Ｑ３）、ならびにほとんどの一般的な場合は、Ｂ≠１の場合、通常、数値解析法及び反復法によって、未知の関数ｔ＝ｔ（ｓ）に対する解が求められる。
ライトガイドのＹ形状分岐部を形成し、輪郭領域Ｔの中の領域Ｔｉ内へのみ反射する、パネルＳｉの構造は、製造誤差及び製造公差に対する高い感度を有する。この感度を低下させるために、面Ｓｉは、領域Ｔｉを包含する領域Ｔの中の領域上に入射するビームを反射する、平面状表面、円筒形状表面又はＮＵＲＢＳ表面として作製される。
提案されるライトガイドモジュールの技術的解決法は、図１及び図２に図示される。
楕円形状の輪郭表面を有するモジュールの断面を表す。 方向光学素子の数学的背景を導入する詳細説明を表す。 直線形状の輪郭表面を有するライトガイドモジュールの断面を表す。 ライトガイドモジュールの第１部分の軸の方向に光を向けることを可能にする、輪郭表面の配向の変形を表す。 ライトガイドモジュールが、反射器によって支持される、光学システムの例を表す。
図１に示されるライトガイドモジュールは、光源１と、ライトガイド２とから構成される。
ライトガイド２は、第１部分３と、Ｙ形状分岐部４と、輪郭表面Ｔを有する第２部分５とから構成される。ライトガイド２のＹ形状分岐部４の支持表面は、方向光学素子Ｓｉのシステムから成り、プリズム形状、円錐形状又はこれらの組み合わせであり、ライトガイド２の第１部分３の光軸上にその頂点を有する。
光源１は、ライトガイド２の第１部分３の後方に、次のように配置されたＬＥＤと略される発光ダイオードである。円錐形状に構成されるＹ形状分岐部４の中で終端する第１部分３の後方には、プリズム形状に構成されるＹ形状分岐部４の中で終端する第１部分３の後方に位置付けられるＬＥＤよりも高い光束を備えるＬＥＤが位置付けられる。
ライトガイド２の第１のエッジ３１は、平行構成要素３２を備える。構成要素３２は、ライトガイド２において光の損失のない伝播のための、光の平行ビームを作成するために、光学コリメータ又はフレネルレンズとして作製することができる。
方向光学素子Ｓｉは、平面状表面、円筒形状表面又はＮＵＲＢＳ表面によって形成される。
図３に、第２部分５の輪郭表面Ｔが直線状で、光源１の強度が同一である場合の、ライトガイドモジュールの特殊な事例を示す。この事例において、ライトガイド２のＹ形状分岐部４の支持表面は、第１部分３の光軸に対して４５°の傾斜を有するプリズムの形状の表面である。
第２部分５の輪郭表面Ｔは、第１部分３の光軸に対してどのようにも配向することができる。図４は、出現する光を第１部分３の光軸の方向に配向することを可能にする、輪郭表面Ｔの変形を示す。
ライトガイドモジュールの別の用途は、輪郭表面Ｔがより複雑な光学システムの別の部分のための光源として機能する場合の光学システムである。図５は、ライトガイドモジュールと、輪郭表面Ｔのほぼ中心に焦点Ｆを有するパラボラ状又は楕円状の反射器６とを包含する光学システムの例を示す。
本ライトガイドモジュールの利点は、ＬＥＤが光源１として使用され、光が損失することなくライトガイド２の中を伝播するので、効率性が高いことである。さらに、本ライトガイドモジュールは、必要なスペースが極僅かであり、プリント回路を含む小型のリジッド基板のみを有するため、コストを削減する。

Claims (4)

  1. 輪郭表面の調節可能な照明を備えたライトガイドモジュールであって、
    光源と、
    ライトガイドと、から構成され、
    前記ライトガイド（２）は、
    第１部分（３）と、
    Ｙ形状分岐部（４）と、
    輪郭表面（Ｔ）を有する第２部分（５）と、から構成され、
    前記ライトガイド（２）の前記Ｙ形状分岐部（４）の支持表面は、方向光学素子（Ｓｉ）のシステムから構成され、プリズム形状、円錐形状又はこれらの組み合わせであり、前記ライトガイド（２）の前記第１部分（３）の光軸上にその頂点を有する
    ことを特徴とする、ライトガイドモジュール。
  2. 前記光源（１）は、以下のように前記ライトガイド（２）の前記第１部分（３）の後方に配置された発光ダイオードであり、
    円錐形状に構成されるＹ形状分岐部（４）の中で終端する前記第１部分（３）の後方に、プリズム形状に構成されるＹ形状分岐部（４）の中で終端する前記第１部分（３）の後方に配置された発光ダイオードよりも高い光束を有する発光ダイオードが配置される
    ことを特徴とする、請求項１に記載のライトガイドモジュール。
  3. 前記ライトガイド（２）の第１のエッジ（３１）は、平行構成要素（３２）を備える
    ことを特徴とする、請求項１又は２に記載のライトガイドモジュール。
  4. 前記方向光学素子Ｓｉは、平面状表面、円筒形状表面、又はＮＵＲＢＳ表面によって形成される
    ことを特徴とする、請求項１、２又は３に記載のライトガイドモジュール。
