Abstract
【解決手段】粒子フィルターに捕集された煤煙粒子を燃焼させることができる温度を低下させることができ、鉄化合物から実質的になる、または鉄化合物およびセリウム化合物から実質的になる添加剤を含有する燃料をエンジンに供給すること、ならびにエンジン中の燃料の燃焼によって生成した排気ガスを通過させるために使用される粒子フィルターが、触媒フィルターであり、この触媒が、煤煙の粒子の燃焼を促進する。本方法によって、特に低温における煤煙燃焼の動力学の改善が可能となる。

Claims (10)
- 粒子フィルターが搭載された排気システムが取り付けられたディーゼルエンジンまたは希薄燃焼エンジンの運転方法であって、粒子フィルターによって保持された煤煙の粒子の燃焼温度を低下させることができ、鉄化合物から実質的になる、または鉄化合物およびセリウム化合物から実質的になる添加剤を含有する燃料をエンジンに供給すること、ならびにエンジン中の燃料の燃焼によって生成した排気ガスが通過する粒子フィルターとして、触媒フィルターが使用され、この触媒が、煤煙の粒子の燃焼を促進する触媒からなることを特徴とする方法。
- 燃料添加剤として、鉄化合物の、または鉄化合物およびセリウム化合物の水溶液もしくは有機溶液が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 燃料添加剤として、鉄化合物の、または鉄化合物およびセリウム化合物の有機コロイド分散体が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 有機相;非晶質形態の鉄化合物の粒子、および少なくとも1種類の両親媒性物質を含有するコロイド分散体が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 鉄化合物またはセリウム化合物が、鉄もしくはセリウムの酸化物、水酸化物、またはオキシ水酸化物であるコロイド分散体が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 燃料添加剤中の鉄およびセリウムの比率が、0/100から80/20の範囲内の比で構成され、この比はFe元素に対するCe元素のモル比であり、特に10/90および50/50であることを特徴とする、請求項1から5の一項に記載の方法。
- 粒子フィルターの触媒が、白金、または白金族の金属から選択される少なくとも1種類の金属を主成分とする触媒であり、前記金属が、フィルター上に堆積されるコーティング(ウォッシュコート)中に最大70g/フィート3(2.5g/dm3)の量で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1から6の一項に記載の方法。
- 触媒の量が最大50g/フィート3(1.8g/dm3)であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 粒子フィルターの上流に配置されたディーゼル酸化触媒コンバータを排気ガスが通過することを特徴とする、請求項1から8の一項に記載の方法。
- 酸化窒素還元システムを含む排気システムがエンジンに取り付けられることを特徴とする、請求項1から9の一項に記載の方法。
