Abstract
【解決手段】ストリング照明エンジンは、複数のLED、複数のIDCコネクタ、及び絶縁可撓性導体を含む。各IDCコネクタは、複数のLEDのうちの少なくとも1つと電気的に導通し、かつ複数のLEDのうちの少なくとも1つと作動的かつ機械的に接続している。IDCコネクタは、導体に取り付けられる。

Description
1. 可撓性絶縁導電体と、
誘電体層と回路とを含む第1の支持体と、
前記第1の支持体から離れるように延び、かつ該第1の支持体の前記回路と電気的に導通し、前記導体と該第1の支持体の該回路との間の電気接続をもたらすために該導体内に挿入された端子を含む第1のIDCコネクタと、
前記第1の支持体上に装着され、該第1の支持体の前記回路と電気的に導通する第1のLEDと、
前記第1の支持体と該第1の支持体に隣接する前記導体の一部分とを少なくとも実質的に取り囲む第1のオーバーモールドハウジングと、
を含むことを特徴とするストリング照明エンジン。
2. 誘電体層及び回路を含み、かつ前記導体の長さに沿って前記第1の支持体から離間している第2の支持体と、
前記第2の支持体から離れるように延び、かつ該第2の支持体の前記回路と電気的に導通し、前記導体と該第2の支持体の該回路との間の電気接続をもたらすために該導体内に挿入された端子を含む第2のIDCコネクタと、
前記第2の支持体上に装着され、該第2の支持体の前記回路と電気的に導通する第2のLEDと、
前記第2の支持体と該第2の支持体に隣接する前記導体の一部分とを少なくとも実質的に取り囲む第2のオーバーモールドハウジングと、
を更に含むことを特徴とする上記1に記載の照明エンジン。
3. 前記第1の支持体及び前記第2の支持体の少なくとも一方は、プリント基板を含むことを特徴とする上記2に記載の照明エンジン。
4. 前記第1の支持体の前記回路は、前記第2の支持体の前記回路と電気的に異なっており、前記第1のIDCコネクタ及び前記第2のIDCコネクタは、同じ電気的構成を有することを特徴とする上記2に記載の照明エンジン。
5. 前記第1のハウジング及び前記第2のハウジングの少なくとも一方は、該ハウジングの外部にある前記導体へのあらゆる力が該ハウジング内に配置された前記導体の部分に伝達されることを制限するように構成された歪み軽減部材を含むことを特徴とする上記2に記載の照明エンジン。
6. 前記導体、前記第1のハウジング、及び前記第2のハウジングのうちの少なくとも1つに接続した装着要素を更に含むことを特徴とする上記2に記載の照明エンジン。
7. 前記第1のオーバーモールドハウジング及び前記第2のオーバーモールドハウジングは、一体化ユニットとして形成されることを特徴とする上記2に記載の照明エンジン。
8. 前記導体は、該導体の全長に沿って前記第1の支持体から離間した該導体の第1の部分が第1の平面に存在し、かつ前記第1のIDCコネクタの前記端子が挿入された該導体の第2の部分が該第1の平面にほぼ垂直な第2の平面に存在するような捩れ部を含むことを特徴とする上記1に記載の照明エンジン。
9. 前記第1支持体は、前記第2の平面にほぼ平行な平面に存在することを特徴とする上記8に記載の照明エンジン。
10. 前記第1のIDCコネクタは、前記第1の支持体と機械的に接続されていることを特徴とする上記1に記載の照明エンジン。
11. 前記導体は、第1の導体ワイヤ、第2の導体ワイヤ、及び第3の導体ワイヤを含むことを特徴とする上記1に記載の照明エンジン。
12. 前記第1のIDCコネクタは、前記第1の導体ワイヤに接触する第1の端子、前記第2の導体ワイヤに接触する第2の端子、前記第3の導体ワイヤに接触する第3の端子、及び該第3の導体ワイヤに接触する第4の端子を含むことを特徴とする上記11に記載の照明エンジン。
13. 前記第3の端子と前記第4の端子の間に配置された絶縁障壁を更に含むことを特徴とする上記12に記載の照明エンジン。
14. 前記第1のオーバーモールドハウジングは、熱可塑性エラストマー材料を含むことを特徴とする上記1に記載の照明エンジン。
15. ストリング照明エンジンを製造する方法であって、
支持体、前記支持体に装着されたLED、該支持体に作動的に固定されたIDCコネクタを含み、かつ該IDCコネクタを通じて絶縁導体に接続されている第1のLEDアセンブリを該絶縁導体に接続する段階と、
支持体、前記支持体に装着されたLED、該支持体に作動的に固定されたIDCコネクタを含み、かつ該IDCコネクタを通じて前記絶縁導体に接続されている第2のLEDアセンブリを該絶縁導体に接続する段階と、
少なくとも前記第1のLEDアセンブリの一部分及び前記絶縁導体の一部分の上に第1のハウジングをオーバーモールドする段階と、
少なくとも前記第2のLEDアセンブリの一部分及び前記絶縁導体の一部分の上に第2のハウジングをオーバーモールドする段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
16. 前記導体を捩る段階を更に含むことを特徴とする上記15に記載の方法。
17. 前記オーバーモールドする段階の少なくとも1つは、熱可塑性材料を射出成形して前記ハウジングを形成する段階、材料を液体射出成形して前記ハウジングを形成する段階、材料を一体成型して前記ハウジングを形成する段階、又は材料を押出成形して前記ハウジングを形成する段階を含むことを特徴とする上記15に記載の方法。
18. 前記第1のハウジングに隣接する歪み軽減部材を形成する段階を更に含み、
前記歪み軽減部材は、前記第1のハウジングの外側の前記導体への力が、該第1のハウジングの内側の該導体の一部分に伝達されることを制限するようになっている、
ことを特徴とする上記15に記載の方法。
19. 前記オーバーモールドする段階の少なくとも1つは、前記LEDの上面と前記絶縁導体の一部分とを除く前記第1のLEDアセンブリ全体の上に前記ハウジングをオーバーモールドする段階を含むことを特徴とする上記15に記載の方法。
20. 前記照明エンジンを関連表面に装着するための関連固定具を受け取るように構成された装着要素を前記導体上に又は前記ハウジングの少なくとも1つと一体に形成する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする上記15に記載の方法。
21. 前記オーバーモールドする段階は、熱可塑性材料を射出成形し、材料を液体射出成形し、材料を一体成型し、又は材料を押出成形して前記第1のハウジング及び前記第2のハウジングを一体化ユニットとして形成する段階を含むことを特徴とする上記15に記載の方法。
22. 複数のLEDと、
各コネクタが、前記複数のLEDの少なくとも1つと電気的に導通し、かつ該複数のLEDの少なくとも1つと作動的かつ機械的に接続している複数のIDCコネクタと、
少なくとも2つのワイヤを有する絶縁可撓性導体と、
を含み、
前記IDCコネクタは、前記導体内に挿入された端子を含み、該導体は、前記少なくとも2つのワイヤがほぼ第1の平面に存在する、該IDCコネクタが該導体に挿入される第1の部分と、該少なくとも2つのワイヤが該第1の平面に対して180°以外の角度にある第2の平面に存在する、該第1の部分から該導体の長さに沿って離間した第2の部分とを含む、
ことを特徴とする、薄い扁平型ストリング照明エンジン。
23. 前記導体は、前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分の間に配置された捩れ部を含むことを特徴とする上記22に記載の照明エンジン。
24. 各々が前記IDCコネクタの少なくとも1つ及び前記LEDの少なくとも1つに接続された複数の支持体を更に含むことを特徴とする上記22に記載の照明エンジン。
25. 前記複数のLEDの少なくとも1つ、前記複数のIDCコネクタの少なくとも1つ、及び前記可撓性導体の少なくとも一部分を少なくとも部分的に封入するオーバーモールドハウジングを更に含むことを特徴とする上記22に記載の照明エンジン。
26. 前記オーバーモールドハウジングは、空気よりも大きい熱伝導性を有する材料を含むことを特徴とする上記25に記載の照明エンジン。
Claims (5)
- 複数のLEDと、
各コネクタが、前記複数のLEDの少なくとも1つと電気的に導通し、かつ該複数のLEDの少なくとも1つと作動的かつ機械的に接続している複数のIDCコネクタと、
少なくとも2つのワイヤを有する絶縁可撓性導体と、
を含み、
前記IDCコネクタは、前記導体内に挿入された端子を含み、該導体は、前記少なくとも2つのワイヤがほぼ第1の平面に存在する、該IDCコネクタが該導体に挿入される第1の部分と、該少なくとも2つのワイヤが該第1の平面に対して180°以外の角度にある第2の平面に存在する、該第1の部分から該導体の長さに沿って離間した第2の部分とを含む、
ことを特徴とする、薄い扁平型ストリング照明エンジン。 - 前記導体は、前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分の間に配置された捩れ部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明エンジン。
- 各々が前記IDCコネクタの少なくとも1つ及び前記LEDの少なくとも1つに接続された複数の支持体を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明エンジン。
- 前記複数のLEDの少なくとも1つ、前記複数のIDCコネクタの少なくとも1つ、及び前記可撓性導体の少なくとも一部分を少なくとも部分的に封入するオーバーモールドハウジングを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明エンジン。
- 前記オーバーモールドハウジングは、空気よりも大きい熱伝導性を有する材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の照明エンジン。
