Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、イリジウム又はイリジウム含有合金からなる金属線材であって、その断面において、結晶方位が<100>方向に優先方位を持つ集合組織の存在比率が50%以上である2軸配向性を有する金属線材である。本発明においては、線材外周部である断面1/2円から外側の外周部における配向性が重要であり、この領域において、結晶方位が<100>方向に優先方位を持つ集合組織の存在比率が50%以上であることが好ましい。

Description
(イリジウムインゴットの製造)
水冷銅鋳型を用いて高周波溶解したイリジウム溶湯から、引き上げ法(引き上げ速度10mm/min)により直径12mmのイリジウムインゴットを製造した。本実施形態で製造したイリジウムインゴットについて、その中央部分についてX線回折を行った。その結果を図1に示すが、回転引き上げ法により製造されたインゴットは{100}面のピーク強度が極めて高く現れ、高い配向性を有する。
上記で製造したイリジウムインゴットを図2に示す工程を経て線材へと加工した。この加工工程は、2軸加圧の熱間鍛造、熱間溝ロール圧延の各工程で目的寸法となるまで繰り返し加工を行っている。また、それぞれの加工工程においては、適宜に被加工材の硬度を測定し、硬度が550Hvを超えないことを確認している。そして、次の加工により硬度が550Hvを超える可能性がある際には、中間熱処理を行っている。本実施形態では、熱間溝ロール圧延の後に必要に応じて熱間スェージャー加工を加えている。
Claims (5)
- イリジウム又はイリジウム含有合金からなる金属線材であって、
その断面において、結晶方位が<100>方向に優先方位を持つ集合組織の存在比率が50%以上である2軸配向性を有する金属線材。 - 断面1/2円から外側の外周部において、結晶方位が<100>方向に優先方位を持つ集合組織の存在比率が50%以上である請求項1記載の金属線材。
- イリジウム含有合金は、ロジウム、白金、ニッケルを含む合金である請求項1又は請求項2記載の金属線材。
- 請求項1〜請求項3のいずれかに記載の金属線材の製造方法であって、
イリジウム又はイリジウム含有合金のインゴットを中間熱処理を加えながら2軸加圧により棒状体にする第1工程と、
前記棒状体を伸線加工して線材とする第2工程と、を含み、
前記第1工程における加工材の硬度を550Hv以下に維持すると共に、前記中間熱処理の温度を再結晶温度以下とする方法。 - イリジウム又はイリジウム含有合金のインゴットを、回転引き上げ法により製造する請求項4記載の金属線材の製造方法。
