Abstract
【解決手段】 光源15と、偏向手段7と、走査光学系8a、8bと、を備えた光走査装置。単一の光源15からの光束により複数の被走査面11a、11bを時分割で走査するように構成され、被走査面11a、11bの走査間の各時間的間隔は不均一であり、各時間的間隔の平均値よりも長い時間的間隔が設けられている区間の少なくとも1つで光源15の光量調整のための発光が行われる。

Claims (12)
- 光源と、
前記光源からの光束を偏向する偏向手段と、
前記偏向手段により偏向された光束を複数の被走査面上に結像させる走査光学系と、
を備えた光走査装置であって、
単一の前記光源からの光束により複数の前記被走査面を時分割で走査するように構成され、
前記被走査面における光走査相互間の時間的間隔は不均一であり、
前記各時間的間隔の平均値よりも長い時間的間隔が設けられている区間の少なくとも1つで前記光源の光量調整のための発光が行われることを特徴とする光走査装置。 - 前記各時間的間隔のうち最も長い時間的間隔が設けられている区間で前記光源の光量調整のための発光を行う請求項1記載の光走査装置。
- 前記偏向手段は、複数のミラー面を有するポリゴンミラーからなり、前記ポリゴンミラーが回転軸方向に多段に積み重ねられるとともに、各段のポリゴンミラーはそれぞれ互いに回転方向に位相がずれている請求項1又は2記載の光走査装置。
- 前記ポリゴンミラーの面数は4面であるとともに回転軸方向に2段に積み重ねられている請求項3記載の光走査装置。
- 前記位相の位相差Δαが、43.3°<Δα<45°、又は45°<Δα<46.7°である請求項3又は4記載の光走査装置。
- 前記偏向手段は、2次元的に変位可能なマイクロミラーである請求項1又は2記載の光走査装置。
- 前記光源は複数の光束を射出するマルチビーム光源であり、前記光走査装置による走査ごとに、前記光量調整のための発光を行う請求項1乃至7の何れかに記載の光走査装置。
- 前記光量調整のための発光を1度の調整につき1つの光束で行う請求項7記載の光走査装置。
- 前記光量調整のための発光を行うタイミングは、各光束について同一のタイミングで行う請求項7又は8記載の光走査装置。
- 前記光量調整の目標値は、デジタルデータとして保持されている請求項1乃至9の何れかに記載の光走査装置。
- 光走査装置を用いて像担持体上に形成された静電像を各色トナーで顕像化する現像手段と、
前記像担持体上に顕像化された各色画像を重ね合わせて転写媒体に転写する転写手段と、
を備えた多色画像形成装置であって、
前記光走査装置が請求項1乃至10の何れかに記載の光走査装置であることを特徴とする多色画像形成装置。 - 前記光走査装置は、光量調整のための発光を紙間で行う請求項11記載の多色画像形成装置。
