Description

- 前記混合粘土製品の不純物プロファイルが、0.1重量%未満のNa2O、0.25重量%未満のK2O、1.75重量%未満のTiO2、0.6重量%未満のFe2O3、0.1重量%未満のCaO、および0.1重量%未満のP2O5である、請求項7に記載の粘土製品。
- 前記第三紀原層に基づく粘土成分と、前記白亜質層又は二次層に基づく粘土成分との間の重量比が約90:10から約10:90の間である、請求項9に記載の粘土製品。
- 前記第三紀原層に基づく粘土成分と、前記白亜質層又は二次層に基づく粘土成分との間の前記重量比が約50:50から約10:90の間である、請求項9に記載の粘土製品。
- 前記第三紀原層に基づく粘土成分と、前記白亜質層又は二次層に基づく粘土成分との間の前記重量比が約40:60から約10:90の間である、請求項9に記載の粘土製品。
- a)前記層間剥離された粗カオリン粘土は、粒径2μm未満の部分が前記総粒子質量の約85%未満であり、
b)前記微細なカオリン粘土は、粒径1μm未満の部分が前記質量の約95%以上および粒径0.5μm未満の部分が前記質量の85%を超える、
請求項9に記載の粘土製品。 - 前記微細な粘土が第三紀原層から採掘された、請求項13に記載の粘土製品。
- 前記第三紀粘土が、Sediagraph 5100によって測定されたとき、約75%を超えて粒径2μm未満であり、約55%を超えて粒径1μm未満である総粒子質量を有する、請求項14に記載の粘土製品。
- a) 板状の粗カオリン粘土と、
b) 微細な含水カオリン粘土と、
を含む、混合含水カオリン粘土製品を含む、コーディエライト前駆体を混合、押し出し、および焼結することを含む、コーディエライトを作製する方法。 - a) 前記板状のカオリン粘土成分が、直径2μm未満の平均粒径を有し、
b) 前記微細なカオリン粘土成分が直径1μm未満の平均粒径を有する、
請求項16に記載の方法。 - 前記板状のカオリン粘土が、層間剥離されたカオリン粘土である、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記粗カオリン粘土成分と、前記微細なカオリン粘土成分との間の前記重量比が約50:50から約90:10の間である、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 請求項16に記載のプロセスによって形成される、コーディエライト製品。
