(1) 原稿面を照明する照明装置であって、所定方向に並んだ複数のLED光源を有する光源ユニットと、複数の反射面を有し前記光源ユニットから出射した光を集光する光学部と、前記光学部が集光した光を前記原稿面へ向けて反射する複数の反射面を有する反射部と、を有し、前記反射部の複数の反射面のうち、少なくとも前記LED光源の発光面から垂直に出射した光を反射する1面は、入射光の前記複数の光源の配列方向における進行方向を変える凹凸構造を有する反射面であることを特徴とする照明装置。
(2)前記LED光源の発光面から垂直に出射した光は、前記原稿面と平行であることを特徴とする前記(1)に記載の照明装置。
(3) 前記凹凸構造は、基板上に複数の溝が平行に形成された一次元格子をなしていることを特徴とする前記(1)または(2)に記載の照明装置。
(4) 前記凹凸構造は、回折格子をなしていることを特徴とする前記(3)に記載の照明装置。
(5) 前記凹凸構造の溝は、その長手方向が前記読取対象領域の長さ方向に直交して配置されていることを特徴とする前記(3)に記載の照明装置。
(6) 前記凹凸構造の凸部の高さBと凹部の幅Aとの比(B/A)が0.692以上であることを特徴とする前記(3)に記載の照明装置。
(7) 前記凹凸構造の凸部の断面形状が矩形、三角形、台形のいずれかであることを特徴とする前記(3)に記載の照明装置。
(8) 前記凹凸構造は、ランダムな砂目状の凹凸構造であることを特徴とする前記(1)または(2)に記載の照明装置。
(9) 前記反射部の反射面が曲面となっていることを特徴とする前記(1)に記載の照明装置。
(10) 前記LED光源は、蛍光体を用いた1チップ型白色発光ダイオードであることを特徴とする前記(1)から(9)までのいずれかに記載の照明装置。
(11) 前記LED光源は、それぞれの発光する色が異なる2種以上の発光ダイオードのチップからなり、混色により白色発光させる白色発光ダイオードであることを特徴とする前記(1)から(9)までのいずれかに記載の照明装置。
(12) 前記(1)乃至(11)のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置を用いたことを特徴とする画像形成装置。

( 7 ) The illumination device according to ( 3 ), wherein a cross-sectional shape of the convex portion of the concavo-convex structure is any of a rectangle, a triangle, and a trapezoid.
( 8 ) The illumination device according to (1) or (2) , wherein the concavo-convex structure is a random grainy concavo-convex structure .
(9 ) The illumination device according to (1), wherein a reflection surface of the reflection portion is a curved surface .
(10 ) The illumination device according to any one of (1) to ( 9 ), wherein the LED light source is a one-chip type white light emitting diode using a phosphor.
