Abstract
Description
ミリ波帯を用いて通信を行うためのビームフォーミングによって第1の複数のビームから選択されたビームを形成する第1のアンテナ部と、
前記選択されたビームの放射方向を示す第1のパターンを表示する表示部と、
を具備する。
無線通信装置における表示方法であって、
ミリ波帯を用いて通信を行うためのビームフォーミングによって第1の複数のビームから選択されたビームを形成し、
前記選択されたビームの放射方向を示す第1のパターンを表示する。
先ず、本開示の一態様に至った経緯について説明する。
実施の形態1に係るミリ波端末の動作の一例について、図4を参照しながら説明する。
上述の実施の形態1では、端末(STA)が1つのアンテナを有し、1つのアンテナによってビームを形成する場合の表示について説明した。本実施の形態では、ビームを形成できる方向が異なる複数のアンテナを備えた場合の表示について提示する。
本実施の形態では、上述の実施の形態1、2のようなミリ波帯の通信に加えて、マイクロ波帯を用いた通信を行うことができる場合の表示について説明する。

Claims (8)
- ミリ波帯を用いて通信を行うためのビームフォーミングによって第1の複数のビームから選択されたビームを形成する第1のアンテナ部と、
前記選択されたビームの放射方向を示す第1のパターンを表示する表示部と、
を具備する無線通信装置。 - 前記表示部は、
更に、前記第1の複数のビームのうち、前記第1のアンテナ部によって選択されていないビームの放射方向を示す第2のパターンを、前記第1のパターンと異なるパターンを用いて、表示する、
請求項1に記載の無線通信装置。 - 前記表示部は、
前記第1のパターン及び前記第2のパターンを、複数の扇形を用いて表示し、
前記第1のパターンを、前記複数の扇形のいずれかの領域を他の領域と異なる色付け又は模様で表示する、
請求項2に記載の無線通信装置。 - 前記第1のパターンは、更に、
前記選択したビームによる受信品質を示す、
請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の無線通信装置。 - 前記表示部は、
複数の扇形を径方向に分割し、受信品質が良いほど、中心角から円弧方向へと色付け又は模様で表示する分割領域を増やす、
請求項4に記載の無線通信装置。 - 前記ビームフォーミングにより、前記第1のアンテナ部と異なる放射方向の第2の複数のビームから選択されたビームを形成する第2のアンテナ部を更に備え、
前記表示部は、更に、前記第2のアンテナ部により選択されたビームの放射方向を示す第3のパターンと、前記第2の複数のビームのうち、前記第2のアンテナ部によって選択されていないビームの放射方向を示す第4のパターンと、を表示する、
請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の無線通信装置。 - マイクロ波帯を用いた通信を行う第3のアンテナ部を更に含み、
前記表示部は、
前記第1のアンテナ部を用いた通信では、前記第1のパターンを表示し、
前記第3のアンテナ部を用いた通信では、受信品質を示す第5のパターンを表示する、
請求項1に記載の無線通信装置。 - 無線通信装置における表示方法であって、
ミリ波帯を用いて通信を行うためのビームフォーミングによって第1の複数のビームから選択されたビームを形成し、
前記選択されたビームの放射方向を示す第1のパターンを表示する、
表示方法。
