Abstract
Description
本出願は、本明細書においてその開示全体を引用により援用する2014年2月12日に提出された米国特許仮出願第61/939,162号に関係しており、その優先権を主張するものである。
本開示は一般的に、生物組織の色素沈着に影響を与えることに関し、より特定的には、皮膚組織の色素沈着に影響を与えるための皮膚組織の制御された冷却のための方法および装置に関する。
Claims (27)
- 皮膚組織を冷却するための装置であって、
前記皮膚組織の表面に接触するように構成された末端表面を含む接触要素と、
冷却要素とを含み、
前記冷却要素は、前記接触要素の前記末端表面を約−4℃よりも低い温度に冷却するように構成され、
前記接触要素の前記末端表面は、その中に設けられた複数のくぼみを含む、装置。 - 前記接触要素は、前記皮膚組織の熱浸透率よりも少なくとも10倍大きい熱浸透率を有する材料から少なくとも部分的に形成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記接触要素は、前記皮膚組織の熱浸透率よりも少なくとも10倍大きい熱浸透率を有する複数の材料から少なくとも部分的に形成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記くぼみの幅は、約0.3mmから約2mmであり、前記くぼみの深さは、約0.3mmから約2mmである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記くぼみによってカバーされる前記接触要素の前記末端表面の面積分率は、約0.05から約0.5である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却要素は、熱電冷却器、ペルチェ・デバイス、少なくとも1つの冷媒もしくは相転移材料を封入するように構成されたリザーバ、または冷媒を循環させるように構成された少なくとも1つのコンジット、の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却要素は、前記接触要素の前記末端表面を約−7℃よりも低い温度に冷却するように構成される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却要素は、前記接触要素の前記末端表面を約−7℃から−10℃の温度に冷却するように構成される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却要素は、前記接触要素の前記末端表面を約−5℃から−20℃の温度に冷却するように構成される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記接触要素内または前記接触要素に近接して設けられた少なくとも1つの温度センサをさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記接触要素の前記末端表面に近接して設けられた少なくとも1つの温度センサをさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 制御要素をさらに含み、前記少なくとも1つの温度センサは、前記制御要素に信号を与えるように構成される、請求項10または11のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記接触要素の前記末端表面に近接する前記皮膚組織が凍結しているかどうかを検出するように構成された検知要素をさらに含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記接触要素の前記末端表面と前記皮膚組織の表面との接触圧力を検出するように構成された少なくとも1つの圧力センサをさらに含む、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記接触要素の前記末端表面は可撓性である、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、複数の冷却要素を含む、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、複数の接触要素を含む、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 皮膚組織を冷却するための美容方法であって、
前記皮膚組織の表面の少なくとも一部分を低温物体の表面と接触させるステップを含み、
前記低温物体の前記表面は、その中に設けられた複数のくぼみを含み、
前記低温物体の前記表面は、約−4℃よりも低い温度にて提供される、方法。 - 前記くぼみの幅は、約0.3mmから約2mmであり、前記くぼみの深さは、約0.3mmから約2mmである、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記くぼみによってカバーされる前記低温物体の前記表面の面積分率は、約0.05から約0.5である、請求項18または19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記低温物体は、前記皮膚組織の熱浸透率よりも少なくとも10倍大きい熱浸透率を有する材料から少なくとも部分的に形成される、請求項18〜20のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記低温物体の前記表面の温度は、約−7℃から−10℃にて提供される、請求項18〜21のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記低温物体の前記表面の温度は、約−5℃から−20℃にて提供される、請求項18〜21のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記低温物体は、約1分間より短い持続時間だけ前記皮膚組織と接触して提供される、請求項18〜23のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記皮膚表面と接触する前記低温物体の少なくとも一部分に近接する前記皮膚組織の凍結を検出するステップをさらに含む、請求項18〜24のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記低温物体が前記皮膚組織の前記表面の前記部分と接触する間、前記低温物体の前記温度を実質的に一定の温度に維持するステップをさらに含む、請求項18〜25のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記低温物体と前記皮膚組織の前記表面との接触圧力を、予め定められた値よりも上に維持するステップをさらに含む、請求項18〜26のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
