Claims (20)

を含むことを特徴とする針アセンブリ。 - 請求項1の針アセンブリであって、前記近位区画が圧縮可能であり、前記リザーバ内に含まれる血液が前記針先端シールドを介して排出されることをもたらすことを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項1の針アセンブリであって、前記近位区画が、前記リザーバの容積を減少させるためのプランジャーを含み、前記リザーバ内に含まれる血液が前記針先端シールドを介して排出されることをもたらすことを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項3の針アセンブリであって、前記プランジャーは、第2のリザーバを形成することを特徴とする針アセンンブリ。
- 請求項4の針アセンブリであって、前記プランジャーは、前記近位区画から取り外し可能であり、前記第2のリザーバ内に含まれる血液が、前記プランジャーの開口部を通って排出されることを可能にすることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項5の針アセンブリであって、前記近位区画は、それを通して前記プランジャーが挿入されるシールを含み、該シールは、前記プランジャーが前記近位区画から除去されると、前記近位区画を封止することを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項4の針アセンブリであって、前記プランジャーは、前記第2のリザーバの容積を減少させるための第2のプランジャーを含むことを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項1の針アセンブリであって、前記針先端シールドの前記流路は、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれる経路と同じであることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項1の針アセンブリであって、前記針先端シールドの前記流路は、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれる経路と異なる経路であることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項1の針アセンブリであって、前記流路は、前記近位区画の前記リザーバの容積を減少させることなく、血液が前記流路から流出することを防止する、狭められた内径を含むことを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項10の針アセンブリであって、前記狭められた内径は、前記流路の遠位開口部に形成されることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項10の針アセンブリであって、前記狭められた内径は、前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれるとき、前記流路に入る別個の構成要素によって形成されることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項12の針アセンブリであって、前記別個の構成要素は、前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールドから遠位に再出現することを防止することを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項1の針アセンブリであって、前記針アセンブリは、末梢静脈カテーテル内で使用されることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 静脈内カテーテルであって、該静脈内カテーテルは、
そこからカテーテルが延びるカテーテルアダプタと、
鋭利な遠位先端と内腔を有する針であって、該針は、前記カテーテルアダプタと前記カテーテルを通って延び、前記鋭利な遠位先端が、前記カテーテルから遠位に延びる、前記針と、
前記針の近位端に固定される近位区画であって、該近位区画は、前記カテーテルアダプタから近位に延び、前記近位区画は、前記針の内腔を介して血液を収集するためのリザーバを形成する、前記近位区画と、
前記針に固定され、前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記カテーテルアダプタから引き抜かれるとき、前記鋭利な遠位先端を捕捉するように構成される、針先端シールドであって、該針先端シールドは、前記針が前記カテーテルアダプタから除去されるとき、前記リザーバ内に含まれる血液を分配するための流路を形成する、前記針先端シールド、
を含むことを特徴とする静脈内カテーテル。 - 請求項15の静脈内カテーテルであって、前記流路は、前記リザーバの容積を減少させることなく、血液が前記リザーバから流出するのを防止するように構成され、前記近位区画は、前記リザーバの容積を減少させるため、圧縮可能であるか、または、リザーバ内で可動であるプランジャーを含むことを特徴とする静脈カテーテル。
- 請求項15の静脈カテーテルであって、前記流路は、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれる経路と同じであるか、または、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールドに引き込まれる経路とは異なる経路であるかのいずれか一つであることを特徴とする静脈カテーテル。
- 針アセンブリであって、該針アセンブリは、
鋭利な遠位先端と内腔を有する針と、
前記針の前記内腔を介して血液を収集するため、前記針の内腔と流体連通するリザーバを形成する近位区画と、
前記鋭利な遠位先端が患者の血管系にアクセスするために使用された後、前記鋭利な遠位先端を捕捉するように構成された針先端シールドであって、該針先端シールドは、前記リザーバ内に含まれる血液を分配するための流路を形成する、前記針先端シールド、を含み、
前記リザーバの容積は、前記リザーバ内に含まれる血液が、前記針先端シールドの前記流路を通して排出させられることをもたらすために、減少させられることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。 - 請求項18の針アセンブリであって、前記リザーバの容積は、前記近位区画の一部を圧縮すること、前記リザーバ内でプランジャーを前進させること、または、前記リザーバと流体連通する第2のリザーバを有するプランジャーを圧縮すること、の一つ以上によって減少させられることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
- 請求項18の針アセンブリであって、前記針先端シールドは、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれる経路を含み、前記流路は、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれる経路と同じ経路、または、それを通して前記鋭利な遠位先端が前記針先端シールド内に引き込まれる経路と異なる経路の一つであることを特徴とする針アセンブリ。
