粉体塗料効果、例えばファサード又は窓をコーティングするための粉体塗料効果は、暗い基本シェードで特に著しい特有の効果(いわゆる光輝効果)を提供する。より明るくてブリリアントな効果顔料と暗い基本色との間の高いコントラストのために、効果濃度の僅かな差異は、特に完成品において、特に複数の塗装されたコンポーネントを互いに直接隣接して端から端まで整列させた場合に、容易に識別できる。大きなコンポーネントの場合、従来技術のコーティングでは、望ましくない曇り又はバンディングがしばしば示されている(局所的に増加した顔料濃度のために)。さらに、異なるコーティングシステムで、又は、異なるシステム設定及び部品の幾何学的配置で行われるコーティングは、往々にして、異なるコーティング結果及びシェード/効果の形成をもたらすことがある。これらのシェードの変化は望ましくなく、単に光学的欠陥を示し、粉体塗料の保護効果を損なわないにもかかわらず、請負業者又は建築家によって不平を言われる可能性が最も高い。
本発明の背後にある問題は、外観又は効果の特性が、ガンの種類、装置の設定、リサイクル粉末の割合及び部品の幾何学的配置によってほんの僅かしか影響を受けないユニークでブリリアントな効果粉体塗料の製造である。これらの絶対的にプロセスセーフで顕著なメタリック効果は、特別な奥行き効果を有し、高度に耐候性のシステムでの使用に適している。その効果は、ウェットペイントの効果と全く同等である。さらに、本発明は、ミリングされたプレミックス中に本発明に従って製造された効果顔料を含む粉体塗料に関する。
・多種多様なアプリケーションパラメータに対する高いプロセス安定性。
・特に強い奥行き効果、ブリリアント効果により特徴づけられる顕著なメタリック効果、特に、観察角に関係なく前記効果を特徴とする顕著なメタリック効果。さらに、本発明に従うメタリック粉体塗料で被覆された基材も、規定領域内で著しく少ない色の変化も示す。これらの特性は、従来技術によるメタリック粉体塗料では実現することが依然として不可能である。
・コーティング用に再利用することができるリサイクル粉末の割合の増加による粉体塗料のリサイクル性の改善、また、それによる廃棄される廃棄物の割合の削減。
本発明による粉体塗料用の潜在的結合剤としては、飽和系及び不飽和系が挙げられる。後者は、とりわけUV照射により及び/又は例えば過酸化物などの熱開始剤によりラジカル的に架橋することができる。量的には、前者が現在最も一般的に使用されている。これらの結合剤の中でも、飽和ポリエステルが最も重要な役割を果たしている。例として、2または3つ以上の官能価を有するカルボキシル官能性ポリエステル樹脂をここに挙げる。これらは、ポリエステルのカルボキシル基と反応して共有結合を生成することができる有機化合物により架橋結合されることができ、必要に応じて従来の顔料、増量剤及び添加剤と混合され得る。
本発明に従う効果顔料としては、主に2つのタイプの顔料、すなわちアルミニウム顔料及び雲母顔料が使用される。真鍮及び銅顔料も使用できる。
900部のCrylcoat(登録商標)4642−3又は同等のポリエステル、47部のPrimid(登録商標)XL−552、5部のRichfos(登録商標)626、3部のベンゾイン、5部のWorlee(登録商標)Add 902、5部のLicowax C Micropowder PM及び2部のTinuvin(登録商標)から透明で無色の粉体塗料を調製した。重量測定供給により、このプレミックスを二軸スクリュー押出機(例えばZSK 27)に計量供給し、粉体塗料製造に適したスクリュー構成で溶融し、次いで分散させた。かかる構成は、当業者に知られている。押出機のプロセスセクションの最後の3分の1において、5部のアルミニウム粉末PCU5000を、二軸サイドフィーダー及び重量測定供給装置によって添加した。サイドフィーダーから下流側のスクリュー構成は、図17に例示的に示されている。押出機内の温度は、好ましくは120℃未満に保たれる。次に、摩砕粉体塗料(80μm未満のD50)を得るために、液状押出物を冷間圧延し、衝撃ピンミルで粉砕した。

Claims (8)
- 少なくとも1種のベース粉体塗料Bと効果顔料を含む少なくとも1種の効果粉体塗料Aとを含む粉体塗料であって、前記効果粉体塗料Aに含まれる効果顔料が、透明に硬化する粉体塗料マトリックスにより少なくとも部分的に被覆されている、粉体塗料。
- 前記粉体塗料が、前記効果粉体塗料Aを、前記ベース粉体塗料Bとの混合物で、効果粉体塗料1〜50質量%及びベース粉体塗料50〜99質量%の質量比で含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の粉体塗料。
- 前記効果顔料がメタリック効果顔料であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の粉体塗料。
- 前記効果顔料が真珠光沢及び/又は干渉顔料であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の粉体塗料。
- 前記粉体塗料中に分散された前記効果顔料粒子の平均直径が元の効果顔料粒子の平均直径の少なくとも80%、好ましくは少なくとも90%であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の粉体塗料。
- 透明な粉体塗料を溶融させ、溶融物中に少なくとも1種の効果顔料を混ぜ入れ、冷却及びその後の粉砕により得られた前記粉体塗料Aが、ベース粉体塗料Bとその後ブレンドされることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の粉体塗料の製造方法。
- 少なくとも1種の効果顔料が、押出プロセスの間に、少なくとも1つのサイドフィーダーを介して、透明に硬化する粉体塗料溶融物に添加されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の粉体塗料の製造方法。
- コーティング中に含まれる顔料粒子が透明なマトリックスにより少なくとも部分的に被覆されており、前記透明なマトリックスから形成された少なくとも1つのチャネルが少なくとも1種の効果顔料粒子からコーティングの表面に延びており、前記チャネルは、少なくとも5μm、好ましくは少なくとも10μm、特に好ましくは少なくとも20μmの深さを有することを特徴とする、効果粉体コーティング。
