Description

式Iの化合物に加え、少なくとも1種類、2種類、3種類または4種類以上の表Bからの化合物を含む液晶混合物が特に好ましい。
V0は、20℃における容量閾電圧[V]を表し、
Δnは、20℃および589nmにおいて測定される光学的異方性を表し、
Δεは、20℃および1kHzにおける誘電異方性を表し、
cp.は、透明点[℃]を表し、
K1は、20℃における「スプレイ(splay)」変形に対する弾性定数[pN]を表し、
K3は、20℃における「ベンド(bend)」変形に対する弾性定数[pN]を表し、
γ1は、20℃において測定される回転粘度[mPa・s]を表し、磁界中における回転法で決定され、
LTSは、低温安定性(low−temperature stability)(ネマチック相)を表し、試験用セル中で決定される。
「常法」とは、必要に応じて水を加え、塩化メチレン、ジエチルエーテル、メチルt−ブチルエーテルまたはトルエンで混合物を抽出し、相を分離し、有機相を乾燥し、蒸発させ、減圧蒸留または結晶化および/またはクロマトグラフィーで生成物を精製することを意味する。

他に明記しない限り、電気光学的データは、20℃における第1極小(即ち、d・Δnの値が0.5μm)でTNセル中において測定する。他に明記しない限り、光学的データは20℃で測定する。全ての物理的特性は「メルク液晶、液晶の物理的特性」1997年11月、ドイツ国メルク社に従って決定され、他に明記しない限り、20℃の温度が適用される。
Claims (22)
- 式IにおけるR1は直鎖状のアルキル基を表し、ただし加えて、1個以上のCH2基は−CH=CH−で置き換えられていてもよいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶媒体。
- 式IV〜VIIIの化合物より選択される1種類以上の化合物を追加的に含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体。

R0は1〜15個のC原子を有するアルキルまたはアルコキシ基を表し、ただし加えて、これらの基における1個以上のCH2基は、それぞれ互いに独立に、O原子が互いに直接連結しないようにして、−C≡C−、−CF2O−、−CH=CH−、

- 1種類以上の重合性化合物を追加的に含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体。
- 式Iの1種類以上の化合物を、少なくとも1種類の更なるメソゲン化合物と、任意成分として、1種類以上の添加剤(1種類または多種類)および/または1種類以上の重合性化合物と混合することを特徴とする請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体の調製方法。
- 電気光学的目的のための請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体の使用。
- TN、STN、TN−TFT、OCB、IPS、PS−IPS、FFS、PS−FFSディスプレイ、シャッター眼鏡、LCレンズおよび正VAディスプレイにおける請求項18に記載の液晶媒体の使用。
- 請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体を含有する電気光学的液晶ディスプレイ。
