Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tack label to be adhered to a plastic container, and a labeled plastic container to which the label is adhered, and more particularly, to a plastic container, in particular, a blister due to wrinkles or bubbles when adhered to a polyolefin-based plastic container. The present invention relates to a tack label which does not occur and has excellent appearance characteristics and high practical value.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Affixing a label indicating the contents to a plastic hollow container has an important meaning in packaging technology because it enhances the commercial value of the packaged product and invites consumers to purchase. As one of the methods, a tack label is attached as a method of decorating a plastic bottle with a polyolefin-based material.
Various types of tack labels are known to be adhered to the surface of a conventional plastic container, but all of them have an adhesive layer provided on the entire surface of a label substrate.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In a label provided with an adhesive layer on the entire surface of these label substrates, at the time of sticking to a container, due to air present in fine irregularities on the surface of the container, a volatile component generated from the container itself immediately after molding, and the like, There is a drawback that blisters are easily generated due to wrinkles and bubbles, the aesthetics of the product to which the label is attached are impaired, and the commercial value is significantly reduced. In particular, after the plastic bottle is formed, if a label is adhered within 2 hours after the bottle is formed due to generation of volatile components from the bottle, wrinkles and air bubbles are generated over time, resulting in a problem of poor appearance.
Above all, polyolefin-based plastic containers used as bottles for shampoos, rinses, detergents, etc., tend to have fine irregularities on the container surface compared to other plastic containers. Bubbles due to bubbles are likely to occur, and improvement has been required.
[0004]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a highly practical tack label having an excellent appearance, which does not cause wrinkles or bubbles due to wrinkles or bubbles when applied to a plastic container, especially a polyethylene container such as polyethylene or polypropylene immediately after molding. Another object of the present invention is to provide a plastic container to which the label is attached.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the present invention, for the purpose of releasing volatile components generated from the container from the interface between the container and the label, the adhesive layer provided on the label base material has a groove-shaped air vent at least one end of which is open at the label end. Is provided, wrinkles and bubbles over time are improved, labeling can be performed immediately after molding, and the above-described problem of the conventional tack label can be solved.
In the tack label of the present invention, bubbles existing between the plastic container and the label at the time of sticking the label are discharged out of the label through the groove-shaped air vent, so that blisters due to the bubbles can be prevented. In addition, wrinkles generated at the time of sticking the label are also absorbed by the groove-shaped air vent, so that the generation can be prevented.
[0006]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In the tack label of the present invention, the groove-shaped air vent provided in the adhesive layer may have any shape as long as at least one end thereof is opened at the end of the label. For the sake of simplicity, a straight groove having both ends opened at the end of the label may be used (FIG. 1) or a groove provided in a lattice shape (FIG. 2). In case of the linear groove is the groove for the label, vertical, horizontal, may be provided obliquely what positional relation, also, one end of which may as not reached until the label edge ( (Fig. 3).
When the air vents are provided in a lattice shape, all the ends of the groove may be opened at the label end, or a part of the groove may not reach the label end. In addition, it is not always necessary to form an orthogonal grid, and it may be configured to intersect obliquely. However, usually, in order to facilitate the groove configuration, an orthogonal grid in which all the ends of the groove are opened at the label ends. Groove.
[0007]
The groove provided in the adhesive layer can reach the label base material as shown in FIG. 4, or can extend halfway through the adhesive layer as shown in FIG. The depth of the groove is 5 to 50 μm, preferably 10 to 30 μm. If the thickness is less than 5 μm, it becomes difficult to discharge air bubbles and wrinkles cannot be prevented. The width of the groove is usually preferably 0.1 to 1 mm, particularly preferably 0.2 to 0.5 mm. If the width of the groove is less than 0.1 mm, it is difficult to discharge air bubbles. If the width is more than 1 mm, the presence of the groove becomes remarkable, resulting in inconvenience of poor appearance.
The distance between the grooves is appropriately selected depending on the use of the label, the type of the label base material or the adhesive to be used, and the layer thickness, but is usually preferably 0.1 to 1 mm, particularly preferably 0.2 to 0.5 mm. .
[0008]
The surface of the adhesive layer is usually covered with a backing sheet to form a tack label. At that time, as shown in FIG. 6, if a linear or lattice-shaped ridge is provided on the surface of the mount that is to be adhered to the adhesive layer, the adhesive may be attached to an adhesive layer having a uniform layer thickness. A groove-shaped air vent can be formed in the adhesive layer simultaneously with the covering with the backing paper. That is, when the mount is released when the label is attached to the plastic container, a groove-shaped air vent is formed in the adhesive layer corresponding to the ridge. In order to impart release properties to the mount, a commonly used release agent layer such as a silicon-based laminate or a silicon-based varnish may be formed on the mount surface by coating or the like.
[0009]
As the adhesive used for the tack label of the present invention, any adhesive such as a thermosetting adhesive, a heat-sensitive adhesive, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive that are usually used for labels is used. Typical examples of the thermosetting type include urethane-based adhesives and epoxy-based adhesives. In this case, extremely strong permanent bonding is performed. As the heat-sensitive type, a material based on an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and if necessary, a tackifier such as a petroleum resin, a terpene resin, a rosin, or various waxes is used. Examples of the base resin exhibiting pressure-sensitive adhesive properties include octyl acrylate, acrylic copolymers containing long-chain alkyl acrylate units such as octyl methacrylate, and elastomers such as natural rubber and rosin, rosin derivatives, polyterpene resins, and petroleum resins. A combination with a sensitizer is used. Among these adhesives, it is preferable to use an acrylic adhesive because of good adhesiveness with a polyolefin container.
In addition, these adhesives may be compounded with a compounding agent known per se, for example, a thickener, a plasticizer, an antioxidant, a heat stabilizer, a filler, an organic solvent, etc. according to a formulation known per se. .
[0010]
As the label base material used in the present invention, any one can be used as long as it is usually used as a label base material, and examples thereof include various plastic films, metal foils, papers, and laminates obtained by laminating these. Usually, however, a stretched or unstretched plastic film alone or a laminate of another plastic film, metal foil, paper, or the like is used.
Examples of the plastic film suitable for the substrate include crystalline polypropylene, crystalline propylene-ethylene copolymer, crystalline polybutene-1, crystalline poly4-methylpentene-1, low-, medium-, or high-density polyethylene. , Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer (EEA), ion-crosslinked olefin copolymer (ionomer) and other polyolefins; polystyrene, styrene-butadiene copolymer and other aromatics Vinyl polymers; vinyl halide polymers such as polyvinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride resin; nitrile polymers such as acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer and acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene copolymer; nylon 6, nylon 66, para or meta-xylyl Polyamides such as lenadipamide; Ethylene terephthalate, polyesters polytetramethylene terephthalate; various polycarbonates; may be mentioned thermoplastic resins such as polyacetal such as polyoxymethylene.
A printed layer or an overcoat layer is provided on the outer surface of the label by a conventional method to form a beautiful tack label.
[0011]
As the plastic material constituting the container, the plastics already mentioned as the film base material of the label, for example, polyolefins, aromatic polymers, vinyl halide polymers, nitrile polymers, polyamides, polyesters, polycarbonates, polyacetals, etc. Can be used, but polyolefins are particularly preferable.
These plastic materials may be used alone or in the form of a blend of two or more, and the plastic container may have a single-layer structure or a laminated structure of, for example, two or more layers by melt extrusion. There may be.
Examples of the plastic container to which the tack label of the present invention is adhered include any container obtained by molding the above-mentioned plastic by ordinary means such as blow molding, biaxial stretch blow molding, injection molding or draw molding, and includes shampoo and rinse. Polyolefin containers used as bottles for detergents and the like are particularly preferred.
[0012]
Next, the present invention will be specifically described with the following examples.
Polyethylene was melt blow-molded to obtain a bottle having an internal capacity of 800 cc. A tack label having a grid-like groove having a depth of 20 μm, a width of 0.4 mm, and a spacing of 0.4 mm was formed on the bottle immediately after molding by a conventional labeling method. As a result, all of the 100 samples were free from wrinkles and bubbles and had a good appearance.
On the other hand, for comparison, when a tack label in which an adhesive was applied to the entire surface of the label was applied to the bottle immediately after molding by a normal attaching method, wrinkles and bubbles were generated in all 100 samples, and the appearance was reduced. It became bad.
[0013]
【The invention's effect】
In the present invention, the adhesive layer provided on the label substrate is provided with a groove-shaped air vent at least one end of which is opened at the end of the label. It is possible to obtain a tack label with excellent appearance and excellent appearance without swelling and a plastic container to which the label is attached.
