【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a combustion apparatus. More specifically, the present invention relates to an all-primary combustion type combustion apparatus including a mixing chamber in which two kinds of gas and primary air are mixed to form a premixed gas, and a burner that performs all primary combustion of the premixed gas.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art An all-primary combustion type combustion apparatus is known that includes a mixing chamber that mixes raw fuel gas and primary air to form a premixed gas, and a burner that performs primary combustion of the premixed gas. In addition to the raw fuel gas, another gas may be supplied to the mixing chamber of the combustion apparatus. An example of such a combustion apparatus will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram of a combustion apparatus according to the prior art.
FIG. 7 shows an example in which the combustion device 120 is incorporated in a fuel cell power generation system. This fuel cell power generation system mainly includes a reformer 56, a fuel cell 62, and two combustion devices 120a and 120b. The reformer 56 heats the reformed fuel and generates a hydrogen-rich reformed gas. The fuel cell 62 generates power using the hydrogen-rich reformed gas generated by the reformer 56 as fuel. The two combustion devices 120a and 120b include mixing chambers 24a and 24b, burners 30a and 30b, and blower fans 38a and 38b, respectively. In the mixing chamber 24, raw fuel gas containing hydrocarbons such as city gas and propane gas, off-gas containing flammable components such as hydrogen and hydrocarbons not consumed by the fuel cell 62, and a primary supplied from the blower fan 38. Air is mixed into a premixed gas. The burner 30 performs primary combustion of the premixed gas mixed in the mixing chamber 24. The combustion heat is applied to the reformer 56 to promote the reforming reaction. Hydrogen that can be used for power generation in the fuel cell 62 is at most about 75 to 80% of hydrogen in the reformed gas, and the remaining 20 to 25% of hydrogen is discharged from the fuel cell 62 as off-gas without being used. Therefore, it is intended to make effective use of this off-gas.
[0003]
In the case of supplying two types of gases (raw fuel gas and off gas in the above case) to the mixing chamber of the combustion apparatus, in the method shown in FIG. 7, the flow path pipe of the raw fuel gas is supplied to the mixing chamber 24a of the combustion apparatus 120a. 36, and an off-gas channel pipe 34 was connected to the mixing chamber 24b of the combustion device 120b. That is, the raw fuel gas channel pipe 36 and the off-gas channel pipe 34 are connected to the mixing chambers 24a and 24b of the separate combustion devices 120a and 120b, respectively.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 8, there is also a combustion apparatus 220 of a type in which a raw fuel gas flow pipe 36 and an off-gas flow pipe 34 are connected to one flow pipe 35 for supplying gas to the mixing chamber 24. Are known.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the method shown in FIG. 7, two combustion devices 120a and 120b are required, and the cost is high. In addition, the calorific value of the raw fuel gas (hereinafter, calorific value per unit volume is simply referred to as calorific value) is about 9000 to 32000 kcal / m 3 , and the calorific value of off gas is about 800 to 3000 kcal / m 3 , The calorific value of gas varies greatly. For this reason, since the amount of heat (combustion heat amount) generated in the burners 30a and 30b of the respective combustion devices 120a and 120b is different, the positional distribution of the amount of heat supplied to the reformer 56 varies. This variation in the amount of heat causes a reduction in reforming efficiency of the reformer 56 and deterioration of the reforming catalyst.
[0005]
On the other hand, in the method shown in FIG. 8, if the flow rate of the off gas is varied, the flow rate of the raw fuel gas is varied. In the method of FIG. 7, the flow rate of the raw fuel gas does not change even if the flow rate of the off gas varies. As described above, the calorific value of the raw fuel gas is about 3 to 40 times the calorific value of the off gas, and when the raw fuel gas is fluctuated according to the fluctuation of the off gas flow rate as in the method of FIG. The calorific value fluctuates greatly. Rather, if the flow rate of the raw fuel gas is kept constant against fluctuations in the flow rate of off gas as in the method of FIG.
[0006]
In the system shown in FIG. 8, the reason why the flow rate of the raw fuel gas is changed when the flow rate of the off gas is changed will be described. Normally, a governor 64 is provided in the flow path pipe 36 of the raw fuel gas, and the pressure of the raw fuel gas at the governor outlet (point A) is maintained constant. The flow rate of the raw fuel gas supplied to the flow path pipe 35 is proportional to the square root of the pressure difference between the points B and A. When the flow rate of the off gas changes, the pressure at the point B changes. As a result, when the flow rate variation of the off gas occurs, the flow rate of the raw fuel gas supplied from the flow path pipe 35 into the mixing chamber 24 also varies. That is, when the off gas flow rate increases, the raw fuel gas flow rate decreases. If the heat generation amount of the raw fuel gas and the heat generation amount of the off gas are equal, the overall heat generation amount is maintained constant even if the flow rate of the raw fuel gas decreases due to an increase in the flow rate of the off gas. However, the calorific value of the raw fuel gas is about 3 to 40 times the calorific value of the off gas, and when the flow rate of the raw fuel gas is reduced due to the increase in the off gas flow rate, the entire combustion heat quantity is greatly reduced. As described above, in the method shown in FIG. 8, the amount of combustion heat of the burner 30 supplied to the reformer 56 fluctuates greatly, resulting in a decrease in reforming efficiency of the reformer 56 and deterioration of the reforming catalyst.
[0007]
The above-described flow rate fluctuation problem and combustion heat quantity variation / variation problem are not limited to the combination of raw fuel gas and off-gas, and are common problems when two types of gas are burned. An object of the present invention is to realize a combustion apparatus that does not cause fluctuations in the flow rate of one gas due to fluctuations in the flow rate of one gas, even though the cost is low, when two types of gas are burned.
[0008]
[Means for solving the problem, operation and effect]
In order to solve the above-described problem, a combustion apparatus according to the present invention includes a mixing chamber that mixes off-gas discharged from a fuel cell , raw fuel gas, and primary air fed by a fan into a premixed gas, A burner for burning the premixed gas is provided. The off-gas flow path and the raw fuel gas flow path are independently connected to the mixing chamber, and the off-gas flow path and the primary air flow path are connected to the mixing chamber. Each is connected independently . Examples of the “raw fuel gas” include hydrocarbon fuels such as butane gas, propane gas, methane gas, ethane gas, kerosene and gasoline, and alcohol fuels such as methanol and ethanol. Here, as long as the “ off gas channel and the raw fuel gas channel” are independently connected to the mixing chamber, a plurality of each gas channel may be connected.
According to the combustion apparatus according to the present invention, the off-gas and raw fuel gas discharged from the fuel cell are burned by one combustion apparatus, and therefore the cost is lower than when the off-gas and raw fuel gas are burned by separate combustion apparatuses. Can be reduced. Without leaving in it, the flow path of the off-gas and the raw fuel gas are each independently connected to the mixing chamber, since the flow path of the off-gas and primary air are each independently connected to the mixing chamber, the raw by the flow rate fluctuation of the off-gas No fluctuations in the flow rate of fuel gas or primary air . For this reason, the fluctuation | variation of the mixing ratio of off gas , raw fuel gas, and primary air accompanying the flow volume fluctuation | variation of off gas can be suppressed small. Accordingly, the premixed gas of off-gas , raw fuel gas, and primary air can be burned at an appropriate excess air ratio, so that incomplete combustion and misfire can be prevented. Even if there is a fluctuation in the flow rate of the off-gas discharged from the fuel cell, the fluctuation in the flow rate of the raw fuel gas does not occur.

And a fuel cell power generation system, wherein the off-gas channel pipes are independently connected to each other.
[0012]
【Example】
A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, a fuel cell power generation system including an all primary combustion type combustion apparatus according to this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a fuel cell power generation system including a combustion apparatus according to the present embodiment.
The fuel cell power generation system shown in FIG. 1 mainly includes a reformer 56, a fuel cell 62, and a combustion device 20. A reformed fuel flow pipe 54 is connected to the reformer 56. A water flow channel 52 is connected to the reformed fuel flow channel 54. A pump 50 is attached to the water channel pipe 52. A reformed gas channel pipe 60 is connected between the reformer 56 and the fuel cell 62. An off-gas flow pipe 34 is connected between the fuel cell 62 and the mixing chamber 24 of the combustion apparatus 20. Further, the raw fuel gas passage pipe 36 is connected to the mixing chamber 24 of the combustion apparatus 20 via a governor 64 for flow rate control. A blower fan 38 is connected to the mixing chamber 24 of the combustion device 20. A burner 30 is provided on the downstream side of the mixing chamber 24.
[0013]
In this fuel cell power generation system, the reformer 56 converts the reformed fuel supplied through the reformed fuel channel pipe 54 and the water supplied through the water channel pipe 52 into the reforming catalyst. To produce a hydrogen-rich reformed gas. For example, when butane gas is used as the reformed fuel, a hydrogen-rich reformed gas containing about 60 to 70% hydrogen and about 5 to 10% methane is generated. When the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell 62 through the flow path pipe 60, the fuel cell 62 generates power by an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen in the reformed gas and oxygen in the air. The maximum amount of hydrogen that can be used for power generation in the fuel cell 62 is about 75 to 80% of the hydrogen in the reformed gas, and the remaining 20 to 25% of hydrogen, methane, etc. are discharged from the fuel cell 62 as off-gas without being used. Is done.
[0014]
In order for the reformer 56 to perform the reforming reaction, a high temperature of about 700 to 900 ° C. is necessary. In addition, since the reforming reaction is an endothermic reaction, an amount of heat corresponding to the reaction amount is required to efficiently perform the reforming reaction. Therefore, the off gas discharged from the fuel cell 62 is supplied to the mixing chamber 24 of the combustion apparatus 20 through the flow path pipe 34, and at the same time, the raw fuel gas is supplied through the flow path pipe 36. The reformer 56 is heated by forcibly feeding the gas at 38 and combusting the premixed gas mixed with these at the burner 30. In this way, by burning the two types of gases, the off-gas and the raw fuel gas, in the combustion device 20, a high temperature necessary for the reforming reaction is created and maintained, and heat necessary for the endothermic reaction is generated.
[0015]
Next, the combustion apparatus 20 constituting a part of the fuel cell power generation system of FIG. 1 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the combustion apparatus according to the present embodiment, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line XX of FIG.
As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the outer frame of the combustion device 20 is constituted by an outer case 22. Hole portions 22 a to 22 c are formed in the outer case 22. The air blower fan 38 is attached to the hole 22a in a state where the front end portion is inserted. When the blower fan 38 is rotated, air is taken into the air supply chamber 21 constituted by the outer case 22. A nozzle 36 a provided on the downstream side of the flow path pipe 36 for raw fuel gas is inserted into the hole 22 b. In this state, the flow path pipe 36 is fixed. As shown in FIG. 3, the hole 22b is provided in two places, and the two flow path pipes 36 are connected to each hole. The step portion 34b of the off-gas channel pipe 34 is inserted into the hole portion 22c. In this state, the flow path pipe 34 is fixed. The upstream side of the flow path pipe 34 is connected to a fuel cell 62 (see FIG. 1) that supplies off-gas. As shown in FIG. 3, six off-gas nozzles 34a (channel pipes 34) are provided.
[0016]
A mixing case 26 is attached to the outer case 22. An introduction plate 40 is attached to an end of the mixing case 26 on the upstream side (the side where the blower fan 38 and the raw fuel flow pipe 36 are located). The introduction plate 40 is formed with an introduction hole 40 a for the raw fuel gas from the flow path pipe 36 and the air from the blower fan 38. By being divided by the introduction plate 40, the mixing chamber 24 is formed in the mixing case 26. A hole 26 a is provided on the off-gas channel pipe 34 side of the mixing chamber 24. The nozzle 34a of the flow channel pipe 34 is inserted into the hole 26a. A surrounding plate 42 is attached to the downstream surface (mixing chamber 24 side) of the introduction plate 40. The surrounding plate 42 forms a premixing chamber 44 for mixing raw fuel gas, off gas, and air in advance. A first slit group 42 a and a second slit group 42 b are formed on the surrounding plate 42. As shown in FIG. 3, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line XX of FIG. 2, the first slit group 42a has seven rectangular slits formed in parallel. Although not shown, the second slit group 42b is also formed with a plurality of rectangular slits in parallel as in the first slit group 42a.
[0017]
On the downstream side of the surrounding plate 42, a mixing plate 46 is formed continuously with the mixing case 26. The mixing plate 46 is formed with one elongated rectangular slit 46a. A distribution plate 48 is provided on the downstream side of the mixing plate 46. This distribution plate 48 is attached to the mixing case 26. A large number of small hole groups 48 a are formed in the distribution plate 48. A burner 30 is provided on the downstream side of the distribution plate 48. The burner 30 is attached to the mixing case 26. This burner 30 is formed of ceramics or the like, and as shown in FIG. 4 which is a plan view seen from the burner 30 side, a number of flame mouth groups 30a are formed. Reference numeral 32 indicates a state in which a flame is emitted from the flame mouth group 30a.
[0018]
Next, the operation of the combustion apparatus 20 according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. When the combustion operation of the combustion device 20 is started, an unillustrated original gas valve is opened, and as shown by an arrow A, raw fuel gas is supplied from the nozzle 36a into the premixing chamber 44 through the flow path pipe 36. . At the same time, the primary air for combustion is forcibly sent from the blower fan 38 into the air supply chamber 21, and this primary air is further supplied into the premixing chamber 44 through the introduction hole 40 a as indicated by an arrow C. Then, after a while, off-gas is supplied from the fuel cell 62 (see FIG. 1) from the nozzle 34a into the preliminary mixing chamber 44 (partially the mixing chamber 24) through the flow channel pipe 34 as indicated by arrow B. . The off gas is supplied after a while, as shown in FIG. 1, when the reformed gas passes through the fuel cell 62 and becomes off gas, and is supplied into the premixing chamber 44 (partially the mixing chamber 24). This is because it takes time corresponding to the length of the flow pipe 34.
Then, these raw fuel gas, off gas, and air collide with the surrounding plate 42, and are stirred and preliminarily mixed while forming a vortex in the premixing chamber 44.
[0019]
Thereafter, the premixed gas passes through the first slit group 42 a and the second slit group 42 b provided in the surrounding plate 42 and collides with the mixing plate 46. The gas that has collided with the mixing plate 46 is sufficiently mixed in the mixing chamber 24 and then passes through an elongated rectangular slit 46a as indicated by an arrow D. The gas that has passed through the slit 46a is a premixed gas in which the raw fuel gas, off-gas, and air are almost uniformly mixed. Thereafter, the premixed gas passes through a large number of small hole groups 48a formed in the distribution plate 48, so that a uniform flow velocity distribution is obtained. The premixed gas having a uniform flow velocity distribution is supplied to the burner 30. The premixed gas is ignited by a spark plug (not shown) provided in the vicinity of the burner 30, and is subjected to all primary combustion.
[0020]
According to the present embodiment, since the raw fuel gas and the off gas are burned by one combustion device 20, the cost can be reduced as compared with the case where the raw fuel gas and the off gas are burned by separate combustion devices. Further, in the fuel cell power generation system shown in FIG. 1, the power generation output fluctuates according to the load fluctuation of the fuel cell 62, so the amount of hydrogen in the reformed gas consumed by the fuel cell 62 fluctuates greatly according to the load fluctuation. To do. For this reason, the flow rate of off-gas discharged from the fuel cell 62 (the amount of hydrogen in the off-gas) can also vary greatly. However, according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the raw fuel gas channel pipe 36 and the off gas channel pipe 34 are independently connected to the mixing chamber 24. Gas flow fluctuation does not occur. For this reason, the fluctuation | variation of the mixing ratio of raw fuel gas, off gas, and primary air accompanying the flow volume fluctuation | variation of off gas can be suppressed small. Therefore, since the premixed gas of raw fuel gas, off gas, and primary air can be burned at an appropriate excess air ratio, incomplete combustion and misfire can be prevented.
[0021]
Further, according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, since the raw fuel gas and the off gas are mixed in the mixing chamber 24 of one combustion device 20 and burned in the burner 30, the calorific values of both gases are greatly different. (Raw fuel gas: 9000 to 32000 kcal / m 3 , off gas: 800 to 3000 kcal / m 3 ), it is possible to suppress variation in the positional distribution of the combustion heat quantity. Further, since the raw fuel gas flow channel pipe 36 and the off gas flow channel pipe 34 are independently connected to the mixing chamber 24, the flow rate fluctuation of the raw fuel gas does not occur due to the flow fluctuation of the off gas. As described above, the off-gas flow rate is likely to fluctuate greatly depending on the load variation of the fuel cell 62. However, since the off-gas heat generation amount is small, the flow rate of the raw fuel gas is constant even when the off-gas flow rate variation occurs. If it can be maintained, the fluctuation in the total amount of combustion heat can be kept small.
Therefore, according to this embodiment, it is possible to suppress a reduction in reforming efficiency of the reformer 56 and a deterioration of the reforming catalyst even if the off-gas flow rate fluctuates.
[0022]
Another embodiment of the present invention may be a combustion apparatus as shown in FIGS. FIG. 5 is a sectional view of a combustion apparatus according to another embodiment, and FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken along line XX of FIG.
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, in the combustion apparatus 20 b according to another embodiment of the present invention, an off-gas passage pipe 34 and a raw fuel gas passage pipe 36 are provided in parallel. Specifically, the step portion 34b of the off-gas channel pipe 34 and the step portion 36b of the raw fuel gas channel pipe 36 are inserted into the hole 22c of the outer case. An off-gas nozzle 34a is inserted into the hole 26a of the mixing case 26, and a raw fuel gas nozzle 36a is inserted into the hole 26b.
Further, a partition plate 39 is attached to an end of the mixing case 26 on the upstream side (the blower fan 38 side) from the introduction plate 40. An opening 39 a is formed in the partition plate 39. A raw fuel gas nozzle 36a projects into the space 23 defined by the partition plate 39 and the introduction plate 40. For this reason, the space 23 functions as a premixing chamber for mixing raw fuel gas and air in advance.
[0023]
The combustion apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention and the fuel cell power generation system including the combustion apparatus have been described above, but the scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. In other words, the present invention can be implemented in various modifications and improvements based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art.
For example, in this embodiment, the case where there are two flow path pipes 36 (nozzles 36a) for supplying raw fuel gas has been described, but the scope of application of the present invention is not limited to this. As long as the raw fuel gas collides with the surrounding plate 42, the number of the flow path pipes 36 may be six. In the case of six, it is easier to mix raw fuel gas, other gas, and air.
