Claims (15)
- エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ用のディスプレイドライバを制御するディスプレイドライバ制御回路であって、
前記エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイは、
少なくとも 1 つのエレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子と、
該エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子に接続された駆動ラインと
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバは、
前記駆動ラインに、実質的に一定の電流を供給する少なくとも 1 つの定電流源と、
該定電流源に電源電圧を供給する電源と
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバ制御回路は、
前記駆動ライン上に現れる駆動電圧を感知するための駆動電圧センサと、
該駆動電圧センサに結合されていて、前記感知された駆動電圧に応じて、前記電源が供給する電源電圧を制御する電圧コントローラと
を備え、
前記電圧コントローラは、前記電源が供給する電源電圧を所定量だけ変化させ、このときの駆動電圧の変動を前記駆動電圧センサによって読み取り、変動が所定のしきい値以下の場合には、前記電源電圧を下げ、変動が所定のしきい値より大きい場合には、前記電源電圧を上げる
ことを特徴とするディスプレイドライバ制御回路。 - エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ用のディスプレイドライバを制御するディスプレイドライバ制御回路であって、
前記エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイは、
複数のエレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子と、
該エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子に接続された複数の駆動ラインと
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバは、
前記複数の駆動ラインに、同時に、実質的に一定の電流を供給する複数の定電流源と、
該定電流源に電源電圧を供給する電源と
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバ制御回路は、
前記複数の駆動ライン上に現れる複数の駆動電圧を感知するための駆動電圧センサと、
該駆動電圧センサに結合されていて、前記感知された複数の駆動電圧のうちの最大駆動電圧を判別し、この最大駆動電圧に応じて、前記電源が供給する電源電圧を制御する電圧コントローラと
を備え、
前記電圧コントローラは、前記電源が供給する電源電圧を所定量だけ変化させ、このときの最大駆動電圧の変動を前記駆動電圧センサによって読み取り、変動が所定のしきい値以下の場合には、前記電源電圧を下げ、変動が所定のしきい値より大きい場合には、前記電源電圧を上げる
ことを特徴とするディスプレイドライバ制御回路。 - 前記ディスプレイは、パッシブマトリックス型ディスプレイを含み、前記電圧コントローラは、前記電源電圧をフレーム毎に制御するように構成される請求項2に記載のディスプレイドライバ制御回路。
- 前記エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子は、有機発光ダイオードを含む請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイドライバ制御回路。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイドライバ制御回路を含むディスプレイドライバ。
- エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ用のディスプレイドライバを制御す るディスプレイドライバ制御方法であって、
前記エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイは、
少なくとも 1 つのエレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子と、
該エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子に接続された駆動ラインと
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバは、
前記駆動ラインに、実質的に一定の電流を供給する少なくとも 1 つの定電流源と、
該定電流源に電源電圧を供給する電源と
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバ制御方法は、
前記駆動ライン上に現れる駆動電圧を感知するステップと、
前記感知された駆動電圧に応じて、前記電源が供給する電源電圧を制御するステップと
を有していて、
前記電源電圧を制御するステップでは、前記電源電圧を所定量だけ変化させ、このときの駆動電圧の変動を読み取り、変動が所定のしきい値以下の場合には、前記電源電圧を下げ、変動が所定のしきい値より大きい場合には、前記電源電圧を上げる
ことを特徴とするディスプレイドライバ制御方法。 - エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ用のディスプレイドライバを制御するディスプレイドライバ制御方法であって、
前記エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイは、
複数のエレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子と、
該エレクトロルミネセントディスプレイ素子に接続された複数の駆動ラインと
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバは、
前記複数の駆動ラインに、同時に、実質的に一定の電流を供給する複数の定電流源と、
該定電流源に電源電圧を供給する電源と
を備え、
前記ディスプレイドライバ制御方法は、
前記複数の駆動ライン上に現れる複数の駆動電圧を感知するステップと、
前記感知された複数の駆動電圧のうちの最大駆動電圧を判別し、この最大駆動電圧に応じて、前記電源電圧を制御するステップと
を有していて、
前記電源電圧を制御するステップでは、前記電源電圧を所定量だけ変化させ、このときの最大駆動電圧の変動を読み取り、変動が所定のしきい値以下の場合には、前記電源電圧を下げ、変動が所定のしきい値より大きい場合には、前記電源電圧を上げる
ことを特徴とするディスプレイドライバ制御方法。 - 前記実質的に一定の電流を供給する定電流源は、1つの電流ソースを含む請求項6または7に記載の方法。

前記複数の列駆動ラインに、同時に、実質的に一定の電流を供給する複数の定電流源と、
該定電流源に電源電圧を供給する電源と

前記ディスプレイドライバ制御方法は、
前記複数の列駆動ライン上に現れる複数の駆動電圧を感知するステップと、
前記感知された複数の駆動電圧のうちの最大駆動電圧を判別し、この最大駆動電圧に応じて、前記電源電圧を制御するステップと
を有していて、
