Description

【0001】

When the container is rotated together with the cap when the cap is rotated by the capping head and the cap is tightened, the cap cannot be fastened with a tightening torque set with respect to the container. Therefore, the container holding means supports the container and regulates the rotation of the container during capping.
[0004]
In the case of hard containers such as bottles, it is possible to prevent the container from rotating during capping by firmly grasping and holding the body of the container with a container holding means such as a gripper. In this case, since the thickness of the body portion is thin, it is deformed when this portion is pressed with a strong force, and the liquid filled inside is spilled. Therefore, a protrusion is provided on the container holding means for supporting the lower surface side of the flange portion formed on the neck of the container, and this protrusion is inserted into the surface of the container to restrict the rotation of the container during capping.
[0005]
In order to regulate the rotation of the container at the time of capping as described above, conventionally, an upward protrusion is formed around the star wheel pocket holding the container, and a load is applied to the container from above, and it is applied to the outer periphery of the neck. The protrusion is inserted into the lower surface side of the formed flange portion (see Patent Document 2, second page, third column, lines 7 to 13 and FIGS. 4 and 5).
[0006]
In the conventional configuration described in Patent Document 2, the upward projection formed around the star wheel pocket is more than necessary with respect to the cap in order to make sure that the upward projection is not easily inserted into the lower surface of the flange portion of the container. A load had to be applied, and there was a risk of screw skipping.
[0007]
Therefore, a capping device has been proposed in which protrusions are provided on the inner peripheral surface of the star wheel pocket so as to abut the outer peripheral surface below the flange of the container to prevent the container from rotating (for example, a patent) Reference 1 and Patent Document 2).

[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the configuration described in each of the above patent documents, a protrusion is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the star wheel pocket, and in order to press the protrusion against the outer surface of the container to such an extent that the container can be prevented from rotating, It is necessary to arrange an outer peripheral guide provided for guiding the outer peripheral side of the container held in the pocket closer to the star wheel side than usual. However, when the outer peripheral guide is placed close to the star wheel in this way and the container is pushed into the pocket of the star wheel, there is a risk that the outer peripheral guide may rub the neck surface of the container. .
[0010]
In addition, in order to press the vertical protrusion against the outer peripheral surface of the container and restrict the rotation of the container, the protrusion needs to have a certain length or longer. If the length of the protrusion is long, a vertically long scratch extending to a position far from the flange is attached. When such a flaw is attached, the flaw is conspicuous and not only looks bad, but there is a risk that a consumer who purchases the container may be injured when opening the plug.
[0011]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problem, and provides a capping device that can reliably regulate the circulation of a container during capping and that does not cause unnecessary damage to the container. It is for the purpose.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A capping device according to a first aspect of the present invention is a capping device for winding a cap in a state where a resin container having a flange portion at the neck is suspended and supported, and grips the lower portion of the flange portion by a pair of grip members. Container holding means for suspending and supporting the container, and at least one of the grip members is provided with a protrusion having a predetermined length in the vertical direction and pressed against the neck of the container by the holding force of the holding means ,The tip of this protrusion is formed in a taper shape in which the upper end is closest to the resin container and moves away as it goes downward, from the upper part toward the lower part, and away from the container. The protrusion becomes stronger toward the lower part and becomes weaker toward the lower part. By pressing and gripping the neck surface of the resin container, the container can be prevented from being wrapped when the cap is tightened. It is what I did.
[0013]
In the capping device according to the present invention, the container is gripped by a pair of opening and closing grip members constituting the container gripping means, and the gripping force of the container gripping means causes a predetermined vertical direction provided on the grip member. Since the projection having a length is pressed against the container, there is no friction as in the case of pressing with a fixed outer peripheral guide as in the conventional capping device, so there is no risk of scratching the outer surface of the container,Furthermore, the upper part of the protrusion is strongly pressed against the container, and the force pressed against the container becomes weaker as it goes to the lower side, or it cannot be pressed at all. This reduces the risk of injury to consumers opening.
[0014]
Further, according to claim 2ofThe capping device according to the invention is:The protrusion is characterized in that its tip is directed in a direction opposite to the direction of tightening the cap.Is.
[0015]
In the capping device according to the present invention,Since the tip of the protrusion faces in the direction opposite to the cap tightening direction, capping is more effective than when the tip of the protrusion faces the center of the cap or in the same direction as the cap tightening direction. When tightening with the head, the cap surface is easy to be inserted, and the container can be reliably stopped.
[0016]
Furthermore, a capping device according to the invention of claim 3 is provided.A container gripping means for tightening a cap in a state in which a resin container having a flange portion at a neck portion is suspended and supported, the container gripping means gripping the lower portion of the flange portion by a pair of grip members and supporting the container in a suspended state. Further, the container gripping means is provided on the outer peripheral portion of the rotating body, and the both grip members have contact portions that face each other and are pressed against the outer periphery of the resin container. The portion is composed of two U-shaped surfaces positioned on the outer peripheral side and the inner peripheral side of the rotating body with reference to the center of the gripping resin container, and at least one of the contact portions of the grip member The surface located on the outer peripheral side has a predetermined length in the vertical direction and is provided with a protrusion that is pressed against the neck of the container by the gripping force of the gripping means, and this protrusion is pressed against the peripheral surface of the neck of the container for gripping thing More, in which so as to prevent co-rotation of the container to tighten up the cap.
[0017]
In the capping device according to the present invention, the container is gripped by a pair of opening and closing grip members constituting the container gripping means, and the gripping force of the container gripping means causes a predetermined vertical direction provided on the grip member. Since the projection having a length is pressed against the container, there is no friction as in the case of pressing with a fixed outer peripheral guide as in the conventional capping device, so there is no possibility that the outer surface of the container may be scratched.
[0018]
The capping device according to the invention of claim 4 isThe container gripping means is configured to open and close the grip member before and after the rotating body in the rotation direction, and a protrusion is provided on a surface located on the inner peripheral side of the contact portion of the grip member on the rear side in the rotation direction. It is characterized by not beingIs.
[0019]
If a protrusion is provided on the grip member on the rear side in the rotational direction, there is a risk of scratching when the container is delivered by opening both grip members. There is a possibility that the protrusion on the inner peripheral side than the center position may damage the container. However, in the capping device according to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since no protrusion is provided on the inner peripheral side of the grip member on the rear side in the rotation direction, when the container is delivered to the next container gripping means, There is no risk of damaging the outer surface.
[0024]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention will be described below with reference to embodiments shown in the drawings. FIG. 1 is a plan view of a container gripping means (referred to as a container gripping device in this embodiment) provided in a capping device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a state in which a container is gripped by the container gripping device. FIG. The container gripping device 1 includes a pair of grip members 2 and 4 and grips a container 6 between the grip members 2 and 4. The container 6 gripped by the container gripping device 1 is a resin container such as a PET bottle. A male screw is formed on the outer periphery of the upper opening 6a, and a flange 6c is provided on the lower neck 6b.
[0025]
The pair of grip members 2 and 4 of the container gripping device 1 are respectively attached to the upper ends of two upright gripper shafts 8 and 10, and both gripper shafts 8 and 10 rotate in opposite directions to each other in a horizontal plane. Open and close. Both the grip members 2 and 4 have contact portions 12 and 14 that face each other on the swing end (left end in FIG. 1) side. When the grip members 2 and 4 are closed, the contact portions 12 and 14 are in contact with each other. Is pressed against the outer periphery of the lower side (neck portion 6b) of the flange portion 6c of the resin container 6 so that the container 6 is sandwiched.
[0026]
As will be described later, the container gripping device 1 including the pair of grip members 2 and 4 is provided on the outer peripheral portion of the rotating body 18 (see FIG. 3) and rotates in the rotational direction during the rotational movement of the rotating body 18. The container 6 introduced between the two grip members 2 and 4 is gripped and released.
[0027]
The contact portions 12 and 14 of the grip members 2 and 4 to the resin container 6 have two surfaces 12a, 12b, 14a and 14b, respectively, which are substantially “<”-shaped, and these surfaces 12a and 12b. , 14a and 14b are provided with protrusions 16 which are pressed against the neck 6b of the container 6 to restrict the rotation of the container 6. The grip member 2 (the grip member located above in FIGS. 1 and 3) 2 located on the front side in the rotation direction is provided with protrusions 16a and 16b on the two surfaces 12a and 12b, respectively, while rotating. The grip member 4 (the grip member positioned below in the figure) 4 located on the rear side in the direction is provided with a projection 16c only on one of the two surfaces 14a and 14b.
[0028]
The two U-shaped surfaces 12a, 12b, 14a, and 14b constituting the contact portions 12 and 14 are formed at the center of the resin container 6 held by the pair of grip members 2 and 4 (reference numeral O1 in FIG. 1). The grip member 4 located on the outer circumferential side (left side in FIG. 1) and the inner circumferential side (right side in FIG. 1) of the rotating body 18 on the basis of the position shown in FIG. A protrusion 16c is formed on the surface 14a located on the outer peripheral side of the center O1 of the container 6 out of 14a and 14b, and a protrusion is formed on the surface 14b located on the inner peripheral side of the center O1 of the container 6. Not provided.
[0029]
A cap held by a capping head (not shown) is tightened around the resin container 6 held by both grip members 2 and 4 of the container gripping device 1 and transferred in the rotation direction of the rotating body 18. Although not shown, the cap is formed with an internal thread that engages with an external thread provided on the outer periphery of the mouth 6a of the container 6 on the inner peripheral surface thereof. The capping head is lowered while rotating while holding the cap, whereby the female screw of the cap is wound around the male screw of the container mouth portion 6a. The rotation direction of the cap at the time of capping is the direction indicated by the arrow R1 in FIG. 1, and the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, 16c are directed in the opposite direction to the rotation direction of the cap. That is, as shown in FIG. 1, when the rotation direction R1 of the cap is the clockwise direction, the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, 16c face the counterclockwise direction.
[0030]
The protrusions 16a, 16b and 16c provided on the contact surfaces 12 and 14 of the grip members 2 and 4 have a flat tip shape with a sharp tip as shown in FIG. And the opposite direction. And in the up-down direction, as shown in FIG. 2, it has the length required in the vertical direction. The tip surfaces of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are tapered so that the upper end portion is closest to the container 6 and moves away from the container 6 as it goes downward.
[0031]
When the resin container 6 is held, the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are strongly pressed against the outer surface of the container 6 toward the upper part, and the force that is pressed toward the lower part becomes weaker. Do not touch with very weak force.
[0032]
When the length L1 (see FIG. 2) of the portion where the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are pressed against the outer surface of the container 6 is at least 2.5 mm or more, the container 6 can be stably held, and the fluctuation due to centrifugal force Can be prevented. However, if the length L1 is too long than necessary, the container 6 can be stably held, but scratches caused by pressing the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c against the outer surface of the container 6 can be seen in the vertical direction. It becomes long and is damaged to a position far away from the flange portion 6c. If there is a scratch extending to the lower side of the flange 6c in this way, the appearance as a product is bad, and there is a risk of injury when a consumer who purchases the container 6 tries to open the container. The length for pressing the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c against the outer surface of the container 6 needs to be 2.5 mm or more, but it is preferable not to greatly exceed 2.5 mm. In the above-described embodiment, the length L1 of the portion of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c that is pressed against the container 6 is 2.5 mm or more, but is preferably about 3 mm.
[0033]
4 and 5 show a capping device provided with the container gripping device 1, and a mechanism for opening and closing the pair of grip members 2 and 4 will be described with reference to these drawings. A rotary table 22 constituting the rotary body 18 is fixed to the upper part of the center upright rotary shaft 20 and rotates integrally. On the rotary table 22, gripper shafts 8 and 10 to which the grip members 2 and 4 are respectively attached are rotatably supported. A first gear 24 is fixed to a lower end of one of the pair of gripper shafts 8 and 10 (hereinafter referred to as a first gripper shaft) via a key, and the other gripper shaft 10 (hereinafter referred to as a second gripper shaft). The second gear 26 is fixed via a key at the same height as the first gear 24 at the bottom of the first gear 24, and both the gears 24 and 26 are engaged with each other.
[0034]
The first gear 24 of the first gripper shaft 8 is always pulled by the spring 28 stretched between the gear 24 and the lower surface of the rotary table 22 so as to rotate counterclockwise in FIG. Yes. Accordingly, the first gripper shaft 8 to which the first gear 24 is fixed and the second gripper shaft 10 to which the second gear 26 meshing with the first gear 24 are fixed are the spring (first spring) 28. Therefore, a force is always applied to rotate both grip members 2 and 4 in the opening direction.
[0035]
A first lever 30 is fixed to the lower end of the second gripper shaft 10 via a key, and a second lever 32 is rotatably fitted between the first lever 30 and the second gear 26. is doing. A second spring 34 is interposed between the first lever 30 and the second lever 32 and always urges the levers 30 and 32 in a direction to repel each other.
[0036]
A fixed table 36 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the lower portion of the upright rotating shaft 20, and the rotating shaft 20 is rotatably supported by ball bearings 38. A gripper cam 40 that opens and closes the grip members 2 and 4 is formed near the inner periphery of the upper surface of the fixed table 36. The second lever 32 is provided with a cam follower 42. When the rotary table 22 rotates while the cam follower 42 is in pressure contact with the gripper cam 40, the cam follower 42 moves according to the shape of the gripper cam 40, and the second follower 42 moves. Two levers 32 swing.
[0037]
The configuration in which the cam follower 42 of the second lever 32 is brought into pressure contact with the gripper cam 40 will be described. The first gear 24 is rotated in the counterclockwise direction of FIG. The mating second gear 26 applies a rotational force in the reverse direction, that is, the clockwise direction of FIG. 5, and the second gripper shaft 10 together with the second gear 26 applies a clockwise rotational force. Further, the first lever 30 fixed to the second gripper shaft 10 is rotated in the same direction, and the second lever 32 urged in a direction repelling the first lever 30 by the second spring 34 swings. Thus, the cam follower 42 is pressed against the gripper cam 40.
[0038]
Further, when the cam follower 42 moves on the gripper cam 40 with the rotation of the rotary table 22, a force is transmitted in the direction opposite to that described above, so that both grip members 2 and 4 are opened and closed. Therefore, when the cam follower 42 moves in the lower region 40 a of the gripper cam 40, both the grip members 2, 4 are opened, and when the cam follower 42 moves to the large diameter region 40 b of the gripper cam 40, both grip members 2, 4 Can approach each other and grip the container 6.
[0039]
The operation of the container gripping device 1 provided in the capping device according to the above configuration will be described. While the cam follower 42 of the second lever 32 is moving in the lower region 40a of the gripper cam 40, the cam follower 42 is positioned on the inner peripheral side, so that both the grip members 2 and 4 are opened as described above. Yes. While both the grip members 2 and 4 are open, the resin container 6 is supplied in a suspended state from a supply wheel (not shown) provided with a container gripping means for gripping the upper portion of the flange portion 6c. Is inserted between the open grip members 2 and 4. At this time, both the grip members 2 and 4 are located slightly below the flange portion 6c of the supplied container 6.
[0040]
When the cam follower 42 moves to the large-diameter region 40b of the gripper cam 40 as the turntable 22 rotates, both grip members 2 and 4 are closed, and the contact portions 12 and 14 are neck portions below the flange portion 6c of the container 6. 6b. Protrusions 16a, 16b, 16c are formed on the contact portions 12, 14 of both grip members 2, 4, and the tips of these protrusions 16a, 16b, 16c are pressed against the outer surface of the neck 6b of the container 6, thereby Holds firmly and supports hanging.
[0041]
Above the container 6 held by the grip members 2, 4, a capping head (not shown) that moves integrally with the grip members 2, 4 is disposed so as to be able to move up and down and rotate, and holds the cap. By lowering while rotating, the cap is put on the mouth 6a of the container 6 and then tightened. Since the resin container 6 is held in a state where the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c of both the grip members 2 and 4 are strongly pressed against the surface, the resin container 6 does not rotate together with the rotation of the cap. In particular, since the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are directed in a direction opposite to the direction R1 in which the cap is rotated, when the resin container 6 tries to rotate as the cap rotates, the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c Since the surface of the resin container 6 is hard to be inserted, the rotation of the resin container 6 can be strongly controlled, and the resin container 6 can be securely tightened with a set closing torque.
[0042]
Further, since the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are tapered in the vertical direction, the upper part is deeply embedded in the surface of the resin container 6 and the lower part is not pressed, so the flange part 6c of the resin container 6 is not pressed. Since the length of the scratches attached below is short, it does not stand out and there is no risk of injury when opening. Furthermore, although the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are tapered in the vertical direction, the length L1 of the portion that is strongly pressed against the resin container 6 is secured to 2.5 mm or more, so that the vertical direction is stable. Thus, the resin container 6 can be held, and the wobbling due to the centrifugal force can be prevented when the resin container 6 is moved at high speed in the rotating direction of the rotating body 18 while being supported in a suspended state.
[0043]
After the cap is tightened, the grip members 2 and 4 of the container gripping device 1 are released when the cam follower 42 of the second lever 32 moves again to the lower region 40 a of the gripper cam 40. The container 6 with the both grip members 2 and 4 opened and separated is delivered to a container holding means for carrying the neck of another rotating body (see the grip members 2 and 4 on the left side of FIG. 3) or delivered to a conveyor. (See the grip members 2 and 4 on the lower side of the figure). Thus, when both the grip members 2 and 4 open | release and the resin container 6 is discharged | emitted, the protrusion is provided in the surface 14b located in the inner side of the rotary body 18 in the grip member 4 of the rotation direction back side. Therefore, there is no possibility that the surface of the resin container 6 is damaged by the protrusion during delivery.
[0044]
In this embodiment, the protrusions are not provided only on the inner peripheral surface 14b of the grip member 4 on the rear side in the rotation direction among the contact surfaces 12, 14 of the grip members 2, 4. The protrusions may not be provided at all on the contact surface 14 of the grip member 4 on the rear side in the rotation direction. Further, the grip member 4 on the rear side in the rotation direction may be provided with a protrusion on the inner peripheral surface of the container 6 relative to the center O1. However, in the case where all the two surfaces 12a, 12b, 14a, 14b of the contact surfaces 12, 14 of both grip members 2, 4 are provided with protrusions, both the grip members 2, 4 are opened and the resin container 6 is opened. When handing over to other container holding means, there is a high risk of damaging the outer surface of the resin container 6, and if the grip member 4 on the rear side in the rotational direction is not provided with any protrusion, the resin container 6 may be damaged. Although it decreases, there is a risk that the holding force for preventing the resin container 6 from rotating will be insufficient. Therefore, the configuration of this embodiment is most preferable because there is little risk of damaging the resin container 6 and a sufficient container holding force can be obtained.
[0045]
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the direction of the front-end | tip of processus | protrusion 16a, 16b, 16c was orient | assigned to the direction opposite to cap winding direction R1, the front-end | tip of processus | protrusion 16a, 16b, 16c Even when the center direction O1 is directed or when the cap is wound in the same direction as the winding direction R1, the resin container 6 is held so that it does not rotate together when the cap is tightened. However, if the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c are directed in the direction opposite to the rotation direction R1 of the cap as in this embodiment, the gripping force of the grip members 2 and 4 can be reliably reduced. The rotation of the container 6 can be prevented.
[0046]
Furthermore, although the vertical shape of the tips of the protrusions 16a, 16b, and 16c is tapered, the tips may be formed so as to face in the vertical direction. In this case, it is preferable to set the length not to greatly exceed 2.5 mm necessary for stably holding the container 6 so that the scratches on the outer surface of the resin container 6 are as short as possible.
[0047]
【The invention's effect】
Claim 1 as described above3According to the invention described in the above, in the capping device for winding and tightening the cap in a state where the resin container having the flange portion at the neck is suspended and supported, the container is suspended by gripping the lower portion of the flange portion by the pair of grip members. A container holding means for supporting the lowering is provided, and at least one of the grip members is provided with a protrusion having a predetermined length in the vertical direction and pressed against the neck of the container by the holding force of the holding means; By pressing and gripping the neck peripheral surface of the container, the container is prevented from being rotated when the cap is tightened, so that the container is securely held and the container rotates with the cap during capping. It can be prevented, and the friction is the same as when pressing with a fixed outer peripheral guide like a conventional capping device. Since there is no, there is no risk of abrasion or the like is possible to the outer surface of the container.
[0048]
According to the invention of claim 1,Since the protrusion is formed in a tapered shape away from the container from the upper part toward the lower part, the upper part of the protrusion is strongly pressed against the container, and the force pressed against the container becomes weaker toward the lower side, or Since it is not pressed at all, the position away from the flange of the container is not so damaged, so the damage is not noticeable and the risk of injury to the opening consumer is reduced.
[0049]
According to the invention of claim 2,Since the tip of the protrusion is directed in a direction opposite to the direction of tightening the cap, the cap surface is easily inserted when it is tightened by the capping head, and the container can be reliably stopped.
[0050]
According to the invention of claim 4,The container gripping means is provided on the outer peripheral portion of the rotating body, and is configured to open and close the grip member before and after the rotating body in the rotational direction, and a protrusion is provided on the inner peripheral side of the grip member on the rear side in the rotating direction. Therefore, after the capping, the outer surface of the container is not damaged when the container that has been gripped by opening the grip member while the rotating body is rotating is handed over to the next container holding means.
