Description
吐出量:
連続運転開始から2時間毎、第4工程に続くペレタイズする工程におけるペレタイザーのホッパーシュート口でペレットを1分間採取し秤量する。この操作を3回行いその平均値を吐出量として計算した。
連続運転時間:
2軸押出機にシラン変性ポリオレフィンとポリアミドを投入した時点(運転開始)からストランドの切断が多発状態となり製品採取が不可能になるまでの時間を連続運転時間とした。
ストランド径の均一性:
運転開始から2時間毎にストランドの1部を採取し、ノギスにて測定した。
ストランドの切断:
押出されたストランドがドラフトを掛けつつ引き取るのに張力により切断するが、その切断本数を時間に対する割合で評価した。
目脂の発生:
運転開始時から0.5時間毎に紡糸口金に発生する目脂の大きさを目視で観察した。
押出機内のヤケ:
連続運転終了後、2軸押出機を分解し、バレル内、及びスクリューのヤケ状態を目視により確認した。
歩留まり:
連続運転開始から終了までに至る(シラン変性ポリオレフィン+ポリアミドの総仕込量)に対する(ポリオレフィン−ポリアミド樹脂組成物の製品量)の百分率を歩留まりとして計算した。
1日の生産量:
1日の連続運転開始から終了までの製品の量を生産量として測定した。
(a)成分として低密度ポリエチレン〔宇部興産社製、F522、融点110℃、MFR=5.0(g/10min)〕100重量部に(c)成分としてγ−メタクリロキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン[信越シリコーン製、KBM503]1.0重量部、(d)成分としてペンタエリスリトール テトラキス[3−(3、5−ジーt−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート[チバ・スペシャルティ・ケミカルズ(株)製、イルガノックス1010、融点110℃]0.5重量部、(e)成分として4、4’−ブチリデンビス(3−メチル−6−t−ブチルフェノール)[住友化学工業(株)製、スミライザーBBMS、融点209℃]0.5重量部及び過酸化物としてジ−α−クミルパーオキサイド[パークミル D40]0.025重量部を加えて、バンバリー型ミキサーによって170℃で混練・反応させて、次いで、1軸押出機によって170℃でペレット化し、シラン変性ポリエチレンを得た。得られたシラン変性ポリエチレンに対して(b)成分としてナイロン6(宇部興産社製、1030B、融点215〜225℃)50重量部を二軸押出機に投入して240℃で混練・反応させて押し出し、空気で冷却して引き取りロールでドラフト比7で引取り5インチロール間で室温で1.5倍延伸してペレタイズした。ペレット化した形状は径1mm、長さ3mmであった。得られたペレットを熱トルエンでポリエチレンを溶出した。不溶分は攪拌羽根にまとわりつかず、懸濁液は均一であった。不溶分はを走査型電子顕微鏡で観察すると径が0.3μmの微細な繊維状であった。この際の吐出量、連続運転時間、ストランド径の均一性、ストランドの切断、目脂の発生、押出機内のヤケ、歩留まり及び1日の生産量を表1に示す。
(e)成分として、4、4’−ブチリデンビス(3−メチル−6−t−ブチルフェノール)の代わりに2−メルカプトベンゾイミダゾール[住友化学工業(株)製、スミライザーMB、融点285℃]0.5重量部を用い、(b)成分として、ナイロン6の代わりにナイロン66(宇部興産社製、2020B、融点255〜265℃)50重量部を用い、二軸押出機の混練・反応温度を300℃にした点を除いては、実施例1と同様の方法によりポリオレフィン−ポリアミド樹脂組成物を製造した。この際の吐出量、連続運転時間、ストランド径の均一性、ストランドの切断、目脂の発生、押出機内のヤケ、歩留まり及び1日の生産量を表1に示す。
酸化防止剤として(e)成分を添加せず、(d)成分の酸化防止剤1.0重量部のみしか添加しなかった点を除いては、実施例1と同様の方法によりポリオレフィン−ポリアミド樹脂組成物を製造した。この際の吐出量、連続運転時間、ストランド径の均一性、ストランドの切断、目脂の発生、押出機内のヤケ、歩留まり及び1日の生産量を表1に示す。
酸化防止剤として(d)成分を添加せず、(e)成分の酸化防止剤1.0重量部のみしか添加しなかった点を除いては、実施例1と同様にバンバリー型ミキサーによって170℃で混練・反応させ、次いで1軸押出機によって170℃でペレット化したが、安定して連続的にペレット化を行なうことができず、ポリオレフィン−ポリアミド樹脂組成物を製造することができなかった。
Claims (2)
- (a)ポリオレフィン、(b)ポリアミド、(c)シランカップリング剤、(d)融点が70〜170℃の範囲内である第1酸化防止剤及び(e)融点が180〜300℃の範囲内である第2酸化防止剤を溶融・混練して押出し、ドラフトを掛けて引取り延伸又は圧延することにより(a)ポリオレフィン中に(b)ポリアミドを平均繊維径1μm以下の繊維状に分散させてペレット状に仕上げることを特徴とするポリオレフィン−ポリアミド樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- (a)成分のポリオレフィンと、(c)成分のシランカップリング剤と、(d)成分の第1酸化防止剤と、(e)成分の第2酸化防止剤と、を溶融混練して化学変性する第一工程と、
該第一工程によって化学変性した(a)成分に(b)成分のポリアミドを(b)成分の融点以上で溶融混練する第二工程と、
前記第一工程によって化学変性した(a)成分に(b)成分のポリアミドを(b)成分の融点以上で溶融混練・化学変性して押出す第三工程と、
該第三工程によって溶融混練・化学変性した押出物を(a)成分の融点以上で、かつ(b)成分の融点以下でドラフトをかけつつ延伸又は圧延する第四工程と、
該第四工程によって延伸又は圧延した組成物を室温に冷却してペレタイズする工程、
を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のポリオレフィン−ポリアミド樹脂組成物の製造方法。
