Claims (5)
- 少なくとも、電子放出源を有するカソード電極と蛍光体を有する蛍光板電極とが真空中で対向配置された発光装置において、
上記電子放出源における電界放出の電流密度が上記蛍光体での発光が飽和状態に達する電流密度以上となる制御電圧を、上記カソード電極に周期的に印加する電圧制御手段を備えたことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 上記発光装置は、
上記カソード電極と上記蛍光板電極との間にグリッド電極を配置し、
上記電圧制御手段は、
上記グリッド電極と上記カソード電極との間に上記制御電圧を周期的に印加すると共に、上記蛍光板電極と上記カソード電極との間に上記制御電圧よりも高い電圧を同期して印加することを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。 - 上記電圧制御手段を、上記カソード電極と上記グリッド電極と上記蛍光板電極とを二次側に接続した変圧回路を用いて構成し、
上記変圧回路の一次側に周期的な電圧信号を印加することにより、上記グリッド電極と上記カソード電極との間に上記制御電圧を印加すると共に、上記蛍光板電極と上記カソード電極との間に上記制御電圧よりも高い電圧を同期して印加することを特徴とする請求項2記載の発光装置。 - 上記カソード電極へ60Hz以上の繰返し周期で上記制御電圧を印加することを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一に記載の発光装置。
- 上記カソード電極へ上記制御電圧を印加する周期を、上記カソード電極へ上記制御電圧を印加する期間の少なくとも10倍以上とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか一に記載の発光装置。
