Claims (18)
- 人体内の患部を閉鎖するための、金属繊維の少なくとも2層を有する医用デバイスにして、前記金属繊維の少なくとも2層が、複数の金属編組ストランドからなる内側金属繊維の層(22,24,112,114)と、内側金属繊維の層を囲んでいて複数の金属編組ストランドからなる外側金属繊維の層(20,110)とを有し、前記内側金属繊維の層と外側金属繊維の層とのそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドが拡張された予設定形態を有し、該予設定形態が小さい断面寸法の形態に変形して医用デバイスが6から12フレンチの径の送達カテーテルによって送達されることができるようになっている医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維の層(20,110)と内側金属繊維の層(22,24,112,114)とのそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドが0.025から0.2mmの範囲の径を有する請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記医用デバイスが少なくとも一つの円筒形状部を有する請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記医用デバイスが、少なくとも一つのディスク形状部(14,18)を有する請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記医用デバイスが鐘形本体を有する請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側および内側の金属繊維の層は、記憶的性質を有し、非拘束時に前記予設定形態へ復帰するようになっている請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記編組金属ストランドのピッチが、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層でほぼ等しくなっている請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドは、前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドより大きな径を有する請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドは、前記外側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドより本数が多い請求項8に記載の医用デバイス。

- 前記外側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの径は、0.003から0.008インチ(0.076から0.203mm)の範囲であり、前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの径は、0.001から0.002インチ(0.025から0.051mm)である請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記医用デバイスは、さらに前記内側金属繊維の層の内側に配置された第3の金属繊維の層を含み、該第3の金属繊維の層は、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層の金属編組ストランドの拡張された予設定形態に相当する拡張された予設定形態を有する複数の編組金属ストランドからなり、第3の金属繊維の層の編組金属ストランドの末端と基端は、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層を構成する複数の編組金属ストランドの基端と末端にそれぞれ固定されている請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドのピッチは、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドのピッチに等しい請求項12に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの径は、前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの径に等しい請求項12に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの数は、前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの数に等しい請求項12に記載の医用デバイス。
