Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の排気系から吸気系に排気ガスを還流するための還流通路、該還流通路に設けられた、還流する排気ガスの流量を制御する還流弁、該還流弁の作動量を検出する作動量検出手段、前記排気系の空燃比を検出する空燃比センサ、を備える内燃機関のリーク検出装置であって、
前記作動量検出手段の出力と前記空燃比センサの出力との相関を演算し、該相関に基づいて前記還流通路のリークを判定する手段であって、前記相関は、前記作動量検出手段の出力の時系列ベクトルの平均値に対する偏差と前記空燃比センサの出力の時系列ベクトルの平均値に対する偏差との内積演算で求め、該内積の所定期間の積算値がしきい値を超えるとき、前記還流通路のリークを検出する手段を備える、リーク検出装置。 - 前記所定期間は、前記作動量検出手段の出力の時系列ベクトルの分散の指標として偏差の二乗の和が予め定めた値に達するまでの期間である、請求項1に記載のリーク検出装置。
- 内燃機関の排気系から吸気系に排気ガスを還流するための還流通路、前記還流通路に設けられた、還流する排気ガスの流量を制御する還流弁、前記還流弁の作動量を検出する作動量検出手段、および前記排気系の空燃比を検出する空燃比センサを備える内燃機関のリークを検出する方法であって、
前記作動量検出手段の出力と前記空燃比センサの出力との相関を演算し、該相関に基づいて前記還流通路のリークを検出するステップであって、前記相関は、前記作動量検出手段の出力の時系列ベクトルの移動平均に対する偏差ベクトルと前記空燃比センサの出力の時系列ベクトルの移動平均の偏差ベクトルとの内積演算で求め、該内積の所定期間の積算値がしきい値を超えるとき、前記還流通路のリークを検出するステップを含む、リーク検出方法。
