Claims (4)
- 内燃機関本体内の冷却媒体流路と、該内燃機関本体に接続される放熱器側冷却媒体循環路との間に介在して、冷却媒体循環路と内燃機関本体の冷却媒体流路との間の冷却媒体の流通制御を行うサーモスタットの取付構造であって、
上記サーモスタットは、内周縁部が弁座とされた環状支持基体と、上記内燃機関本体の冷却媒体流路内の冷却媒体の温度によって伸縮するロッドを備えた弁函と、該弁函に固定され上記弁座に接離する弁体と、上記支持基体に一体に形成され該弁函を上記ロッドの長手方向に沿って摺動自在にガイドすると共に上記弁体を弁座側に弾力付勢する付勢手段を弁体との間に弾装した支持フレームと、上記支持基体に一体に形成され上記ロッドの突出頭部を規制する規制フレームと、上記支持基体に取付けられたガスケットとよりなり、
上記支持基体と、冷却媒体循環路の内壁部との間に係止手段を設け、この係止手段によってサーモスタットを冷却媒体循環路内の所定位置に係止させた上で、上記ガスケットを挟装し冷却媒体循環路と内燃機関本体とを締結一体とすることにより、サーモストタットを冷却媒体循環路と内燃機関本体の冷却媒体流路との間の所定位置に取付固定するようにしたことを特徴とし、
前記係止手段が、冷却媒体循環路の内壁面に突設され、前記規制フレームを支持する係止突子と、該規制フレームとにより構成されることを特徴とするサーモスタットの取付構造。 - 請求項1に記載のサーモスタットの取付構造において、
前記係止突子が先端に挟持片を備え、規制フレームがこの挟持片によって挟持支持されることを特徴とするサーモスタットの取付構造。 - 請求項1乃至請求項2のいずれかに記載のサーモスタットの取付構造において、
前記内燃機関が、冷却媒体を冷却水とし且つ放熱器をラジエータとする水冷エンジンであることを特徴とするサーモスタットの取付構造。 - 請求項3に記載のサーモスタットの取付構造において、
前記冷却水循環路が、ラジエータからエンジン本体の冷却水流路に冷却水を供給するため、エンジン本体に取付けられるインレットハウジングに形成されたものであることを特徴とするサーモスタットの取付構造。
