Description
本発明で提供するのは、毛細管の形態をしたエーロゾル発生器であり、毛細管は、少なくとも1つの曲げ部、流体入口、及び曲げ部に沿った出口を含み、揮発流体が、出口から出て膨張し、外気と混合してエーロゾルを形成する。流体入口は、毛細管の端部に配置することができる。毛細管は、1つよりも多くの曲げ部、例えば、同一平面の複数曲げ部を含むことができ、又は毛細管は、コイル状にすることができる。エーロゾル発生器は、流体入口と流体連通した液体供給源を含むことができる。毛細管の長さは、5ミリメートルから40mm、好ましくは10mmから25mmとすることができ、0.1mmから0.5mm、好ましくは0.1mmから0.2mmの内径を有する
液体は、毛細管20の入口20aに入り、入口20bは、液体が毛細管20を通過する時に加熱される。毛細管を通過する流体に十分な熱が入力され、流体が毛細管20の出口20cを出る時に、流体の少なくとも一部を気化する。ここでもまた、図示していないが、上述のように、エーロゾル発生器は、湾曲毛細管の各入口に対して1つよりも多くの流体供給源を含むことができる。
湾曲毛細管構成は、毛細管を通る様々な液体流速に適合するように設計され、非常にエネルギ効率が高く、かつコンパクトな構成を提供する。吸入器の用途では、毛細管の加熱区間の長さは、5mmから40mm、又はより好ましくは、10mmから25mmとすることができ、毛細管の内径は、0.1mmから0.5mm、又はより好ましくは、0.1mmから0.2mmとすることができる。吸入器に毛細管加熱器を実施するに際して、湾曲毛細管構成は、好ましくは、外気及び毛細管から排出される蒸気から絶縁され、及び/又は隔離される。例えば、絶縁材料体を使用して、毛細管に存在する蒸気が毛細管の外面と接触しないように湾曲毛細管をマウスピース内に支持することができるであろう。

Claims (10)
- 少なくとも1つの曲げ部と、流体入口と、該曲げ部に沿った出口とを含む毛細管の形態のエーロゾル発生器であって、
揮発した流体が、出口から排出してエーロゾルを形成する、
ことを特徴とするエーロゾル発生器。 - 前記流体入口は、前記毛細管の端部に位置していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- 前記毛細管は、1つよりも多い曲げ部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- 前記流体入口に流体連通した液体の供給源を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- 前記毛細管の長さは、5ミリメートルから40ミリメートルであり、かつ0.1ミリメートルから0.5ミリメートルの内径を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- 前記毛細管の長さは、10ミリメートルから25ミリメートルであり、かつ0.1ミリメートルから0.2ミリメートルの内径を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- 少なくとも1つの曲げ部と、流体入口と、該曲げ部に沿った出口とを含む毛細管、及び
前記毛細管を該毛細管内の流体を揮発させるのに十分な温度まで加熱する加熱機構、
を含むことを特徴とするエーロゾル発生器。 - 前記毛細管は、電気抵抗加熱材料で作られ、前記加熱機構は、電流が、前記曲げ部に沿って流れて、該毛細管を該毛細管内の流体を揮発させるのに十分な温度まで加熱するように、該毛細管に取り付けられた電源及びリードを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- マウスピースを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
- 流体の供給源を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のエーロゾル発生器。
