Claims (10)
- 駆動電源の電圧レベルを検出する電圧検出部と、
前記駆動電源を受けて昇圧して第1電源を生成して出力するブースタ回路と、
前記ブースタ回路における第1ノードの電圧を受けて反転して第2電源を生成して出力するインバータ回路と、
前記電圧検出部で検出された駆動電源であるバッテリの電圧が所定の電圧より高い場合には、前記第1電源の電圧より低く電圧降下させるように、前記ブースタ回路と前記インバータ回路とを制御して前記第1電源及び前記第2電源の電圧を調整するPWM制御部と、を備え、
前記インバータ回路で生成される前記第2電源の電圧は、有機発光ダイオードが飽和領域で駆動できるようにする電圧であり、悪条件でも所望の画像を十分に表現できるようにするため前記第2電源の電圧は2V〜3Vの電圧レベルのマージンを有し、
前記PWM制御部は、前記ブースタ回路と前記インバータ回路とを制御する制御信号を出力し、前記駆動電源の電圧に対応して制御信号のパルス幅を調整する
ことを特徴とするDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記ブースタ回路は、
前記入力電圧が伝達される入力端に接続される第1コイルと、
前記制御信号によりオン/オフ状態が決定され、第1電極が前記第1ノードに接続され、第2電極が接地に接続され、前記オン/オフ動作により前記第1コイルに電圧を充電させる第1スイッチング素子と、
前記制御信号によりオン/オフ状態が決定され、第1電極が前記第1ノードに接続され、第2電極が出力端に接続される第2スイッチング素子と、を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記第2スイッチング素子は、オフ状態になると、ダイオード状態になり、前記駆動電源の電圧をダイオードの閾値電圧により降下させる
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記第2スイッチング素子は、オン状態において、ソースとドレインとの間の抵抗により前記駆動電源の電圧を降下させる
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記インバータ回路は、
前記制御信号によりオン/オフ状態を決定し、ソースが前記第1ノードに接続され、ドレインが第2ノードに接続され、前記第1コイルを介して伝達される前記駆動電源をスイッチングする第3スイッチング素子と、
前記第2スイッチング素子のスイッチング動作により前記入力電圧が伝達または遮断され、前記第1コイルを介して前記駆動電源が伝達される第2コイルと、
出力端に接続されて前記第2コイルに充電された電圧は通過させるが、第2電源が前記第2コイルに伝達されることを防止するダイオードと、を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - データ信号、走査信号、第1電源及び第2電源に対応して画像を表現する画素部と、
前記データ信号を生成して出力するデータ駆動部と、
前記走査信号を生成して出力する走査駆動部と、
前記第1電源及び前記第2電源を生成して出力するDC−DCコンバータと、を備え、
前記DC−DCコンバータは、
駆動電源の電圧レベルを検出する電圧検出部と、
前記駆動電源を受けて昇圧して前記第1電源を生成して出力するブースタ回路と、
前記ブースタ回路における第1ノードの電圧を受けて反転して第2電源を生成して出力するインバータ回路と、
前記電圧検出部で検出された駆動電源であるバッテリの電圧が所定の電圧より高い場合には、前記第1電源の電圧より低く電圧降下させるように、前記ブースタ回路と前記インバータ回路とを制御して前記第1電源及び前記第2電源の電圧を調整するPWM制御部と、を備え、
前記インバータ回路で生成される前記第2電源の電圧は、有機発光ダイオードが飽和領域で駆動できるようにする電圧であり、悪条件でも所望の画像を十分に表現できるようにするため前記第2電源の電圧は2V〜3Vの電圧レベルのマージンを有し、
前記PWM制御部は、前記ブースタ回路と前記インバータ回路とを制御する制御信号を出力し、前記駆動電源の電圧に対応して制御信号のパルス幅を調整する
ことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記ブースタ回路は、
前記入力電圧が伝達される入力端に接続される第1コイルと、
前記制御信号によりオン/オフ状態が決定され、第1電極が第1ノードに接続され、第2電極が接地に接続され、前記オン/オフ動作により前記第1コイルに電圧を充電させる第1スイッチング素子と、
前記制御信号によりオン/オフ状態が決定され、第1電極が前記第1ノードに接続され、第2電極が出力端に接続される第2スイッチング素子と、を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第2スイッチング素子は、オフ状態になると、ダイオード状態になり、前記駆動電源の電圧をダイオードの閾値電圧により降下させる
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第2スイッチング素子は、オン状態において、ソースとドレインとの間の抵抗により前記駆動電源の電圧を降下させる
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記インバータ回路は、
前記制御信号によりオン/オフ状態を決定し、ソースが前記第1ノードに接続され、ドレインが第2ノードに接続され、前記第1コイルを介して伝達される前記駆動電源をスイッチングする第3スイッチング素子と、
前記第2スイッチング素子のスイッチング動作により前記入力電圧が伝達または遮断され、前記第1コイルを介して前記駆動電源が伝達される第2コイルと、
出力端に接続されて前記第2コイルに充電された電圧は通過させるが、第2電源が前記第2コイルに伝達されることを防止するダイオードと、を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
