Description
Claims (14)
- 電気化学発電装置であって、網状気体反応物質分配器が設けられた複数の陽子交換膜燃料電池セルと、液体水を供給される複数の冷却セルと、前記気体反応物質を乾燥状態で供給する装置と、前記冷却セルに供給される前記液体水の一部を、前記陽子交換膜燃料電池セルを前記冷却セルから分離する複数の金属多孔壁を横断して前記陽子交換膜燃料電池セルの内部に浸透させ、これにより、前記気体反応物質の少なくとも1つを加湿し、且つ、前記陽子交換膜燃料電池セルの内部に浸透した前記液体水の蒸発により熱を取り出す装置と、備え、
前記網状の気体反応物質分配器が、前記多孔壁より低い流体通過抵抗を有し、
前記冷却セルが、電気連続性を保証するために、導電性網状要素を備え、
前記冷却セルの前記導電性網状要素が、前記多孔壁より低い流体通過抵抗を有する、
発電装置。 - 前記冷却セルの一つが、隣接する前記陽子交換膜燃料電池セルの間に挿入される、請求項1に記載の発電装置。
- 前記多孔壁が、金属メッシュの上、又は発泡シートもしくは穴開けシートの上において支持される、浸透性が制御された金属焼結材料又は金属繊維の織り交ぜ体からなる、前記請求項1又は2に記載の発電装置。
- 前記多孔壁が、周囲封止フレームを備える、前記請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の発電装置。
- 前記多孔壁が、少なくとも1つの面上において疎水性材料で被覆される、前記請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の発電装置。
- 前記疎水性材料が、フッ化ポリマーである、請求項5に記載の発電装置。
- 前記網状の気体反応物質分配器が、金属スポンジ又は気泡、メッシュ、発泡シート又は穴開けシート、もしくはそのような要素の重ね合わせのグループから選択される要素である、前記請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の発電装置。
- 前記網状の気体反応物質分配器が金属であり、ステンレス鋼、ニッケル、又はニッケル合金で作成される、前記請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載の発電装置。
- 前記冷却セルの前記導電性網状要素が、金属スポンジ又は気泡、メッシュ、発泡シート又は穴開けシート、もしくはそのような要素の重ね合わせのグループから選択される要素である、請求項1に記載の発電装置。
- 前記冷却セルの前記導電性網状要素が、金属であり、ステンレス鋼、ニッケル、又はニッケル合金からなる、請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の発電装置。
- 直流電流を発生する方法であって、少なくとも1つの乾燥気体反応物質を前記請求項1ないし10のいずれかに記載の前記陽子交換膜燃料電池セルに供給するステップと、加湿される前記少なくとも1つの気体反応物質より高く制御された圧力において、水の流れを前記冷却セルに供給するステップと、前記水の流れが、前記複数の多孔壁を横断して前記陽子交換膜燃料電池セルに浸透することを可能にするステップとを含む、方法。
- 前記多孔壁を横断して浸透する前記水の流れによって加湿される前記気体反応物質が、酸素である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 両方の気体反応物質が、前記多孔壁を横断して浸透する前記水の流れによって加湿される、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記水の流れが、事前に加熱される、請求項11から13のいずれかに記載の方法。
