Claims (3)
- 木材を圧縮することによって該木材を所定の3次元形状に成形する木材の成形方法であって、
略椀状に形取った木材の内側面の一部の領域であって圧縮前後の曲率の変化が最も大きくかつ木目の間隔が最も大きい場所を含む領域に伸縮性を有する補強材を貼付する補強材貼付工程と、
前記補強材貼付工程で補強材を貼付した木材を大気よりも高温高圧の水蒸気雰囲気中で軟化させる軟化工程と、
前記軟化工程で軟化させた木材を前記水蒸気雰囲気中で圧縮することによって所定の3次元形状に変形させる圧縮工程と、
を有することを特徴とする木材の成形方法。 - 前記補強材貼付工程は、
前記木材の内側面で圧縮前後における曲率の変化が最も大きくかつ前記木目の間隔が最大である場所が複数ある場合、前記圧縮工程によって繊維が最も曲がる場所を含む領域に貼付することを特徴とする請求項1記載の木材の成形方法。 - 前記補強材は、前記木材の繊維方向と交差する方向を指向する複数の繊維を含み、
前記複数の繊維は、木材繊維成分であるセルロースを含む材料からなることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の木材の成形方法。
