Claims (3)
- 擬似ランダム符号に基づくABSパターンが設けられたスケールと、該スケールにより形成された明暗パターンを受光する受光素子と、該受光素子の出力に従う信号を処理して該受光素子に対するスケールの絶対位置を計測する信号処理回路と、を有する絶対位置測長型エンコーダにおいて、
前記信号処理回路が、前記受光素子のABS受光素子アレイのアレイ間隔PPDAよりも細かい間隔Dを求めると共に、前記ABS受光素子アレイの出力に従う該間隔D毎のデジタル値を求めて出力する空間分割数変換回路を備え、
該間隔Dは、前記アレイ間隔P PDA と前記ABSパターンの最小線幅P ABS とについて式(1)、式(2)を満足する最大の実数値であることを特徴とする絶対位置測長型エンコーダ。

P ABS =D*k2(k2は整数) (2) - 前記信号処理回路は、更に、前記空間分割数変換回路の出力に従うデジタル値と前記擬似ランダム符号の設計値との相関演算を行う相関回路を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の絶対位置測長型エンコーダ。
- 前記相関回路で相関演算がなされる前記デジタル値が、前記ABSパターンの最小線幅PABS単位でバイナリ化された値であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の絶対位置測長型エンコーダ。
