Claims (10)
- マルチアンテナワイヤレスデバイスにおいて、
複数のアンテナに動作可能に結合されている複数(N個)の受信機ユニットと、
前記ワイヤレスデバイスの現在の動作状態と、前記ワイヤレスデバイスの現在の動作モードとに少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記N個の受信機ユニットの各々をそれぞれ選択的にイネーブルまたはディセーブルする制御装置とを具備し、
前記複数のアンテナの中からの少なくとも1本のアンテナの各組に対して1つの受信機ユニットであり、
各受信機ユニットは、それぞれの入力信号を処理して出力信号を提供するように動作可能であり、
Nは1より大きい整数であり、
前記現在の動作状態は、待機状態と、休止状態と、通信状態とを含む利用可能な動作状態のサブセットのうちの1つであり、
前記ワイヤレスデバイスは、それぞれの時間において、前記待機状態で、前記休止状態で、前記通信状態で動作し、
前記現在の動作モードは、前記複数のアンテナのうちの1つのアンテナを介した1つの入力信号の受信に対する単一入力(SI)モードと、前記複数のアンテナのうちの多数のアンテナを介した複数の信号の受信に対する複数入力(MI)モードと、前記N個の受信機ユニットのすべてがディセーブルされているスタンバイモードとを含む利用可能な動作のモードのサブセットのうちの1つであり、
前記ワイヤレスデバイスは、それぞれの時間において、前記SIモードで、前記MIモードで、前記スタンバイモードで動作し、
前記利用可能な動作状態および利用可能な動作モードは、前記複数(N個)の受信機ユニットのうちのイネーブルされる受信機ユニットのそれぞれ異なる組み合わせにそれぞれ関係しており、前記イネーブルされる受信機ユニットのそれぞれ異なる組み合わせの各々は、イネーブルされる0個の受信機ユニットからイネーブルされるN個の受信機ユニットまでの範囲をとるマルチアンテナワイヤレスデバイス。 - 前記制御装置は、前記現在の動作状態および前記現在の動作モードが単一の入力信号の受信をサポートするときに、前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの1つをイネーブルし、前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの残りの受信機ユニットをディセーブルし、
前記イネーブルされた受信機ユニットは、前記単一の入力信号を処理する請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。 - 前記制御装置は、前記現在の動作状態および前記現在の動作モードが複数の入力信号の受信をサポートするときに、前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの複数の受信機ユニットをイネーブルし、もしあれば、前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの残りの受信機ユニットをディセーブルし、
前記イネーブルされた受信機ユニットは、前記複数の入力信号を処理する請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。 - 前記制御装置は、データが受信されないとき、前記N個の受信機ユニットをディセーブルする請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。
- 前記制御装置によりイネーブルされる各受信機ユニットに対する電力を送り出すように動作する電力源をさらに具備する請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。
- イネーブルされる処理ユニットに対するクロックを発生させて、ディセーブルされる処理ユニットに対するクロックをディセーブルするクロック発生器をさらに具備する請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。
- 前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの少なくとも1つに対する少なくとも1つのクロックを発生させるクロック発生器をさらに具備し、
前記少なくとも1つのクロックは、前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの少なくとも1つによるデータ受信のためのデータレートに少なくとも部分的に基づいて決定される、最大周波数よりも低い周波数で前記N個の受信機ユニットのうちの少なくとも1つを動作させて電力消費を減少させるために、データ受信のために使用されるデータレートによって決定される可変周波数を有する請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。 - 複数のアンテナに動作可能に結合されている複数(N個)の送信機ユニットをさらに具備し、
前記制御装置は、前記ワイヤレスデバイスの現在の動作状態に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記N個の送信機ユニットの各々をそれぞれ選択的にイネーブルまたはディセーブルし、
前記複数のアンテナの中からの少なくとも1本のアンテナの各組に対して1つの送信機ユニットであり、
各送信機ユニットは、それぞれの入力信号を処理して出力信号を提供するように動作可能であり、
Nは1より大きい整数であり、
前記現在の動作状態は、待機状態と、休止状態と、通信状態とを含む利用可能な動作状態のサブセットのうちの1つであり、
前記ワイヤレスデバイスは、それぞれの時間において、前記待機状態で、前記休止状態で、前記通信状態で動作し、前記利用可能な動作状態の各々は、イネーブルされる前記N個の送信機ユニットのそれぞれ異なる組み合わせにそれぞれ関係しており、イネーブルされる前記N個の送信機ユニットのそれぞれ異なる組み合わせの各々は、イネーブルされる0個の送信機ユニットからイネーブルされるN個の送信機ユニットまでの範囲をとる請求項1記載のワイヤレスデバイス。 - 前記制御装置は、前記現在の動作状態が単一の出力信号の送信をサポートするときに、前記N個の送信機ユニットのうちの1つをイネーブルし、前記N個の送信機ユニットのうちの残りの送信機ユニットをディセーブルし、
前記イネーブルされた送信機ユニットは、前記単一の出力信号を発生させる請求項8記載のワイヤレスデバイス。 - 前記制御装置によりディセーブルされる各送信機ユニットに対する電力を切断するように動作する電力源をさらに具備する請求項8記載のワイヤレスデバイス。
