Claims (3)
- 複数の画素が配列された表示パネルと、前記表示パネルを照射するバックライトとを備え、映像データを入力として受け前記表示パネルに表示する表示装置において、
前記バックライトは複数の光源を備え、前記光源毎に輝度を制御可能な表示装置であって、
映像内の物体の移動速度を検出する移動速度検出部と、
映像内の物体の移動方向を検出する物体移動方向検出部と、
前記物体移動方向検出部で検出した結果に応じて、映像内の物体の移動先エリアを前もって照射するように前記移動先エリアの前記光源の輝度を演算する移動先エリア照射演算部と、
前記移動速度検出部で検出した結果に応じて前記光源の輝度変化量を前記光源毎に制御すると共に、前記移動先エリア照射演算部が演算した結果に応じて前記移動先エリアの前記光源の輝度を制御する輝度変化量制御部と、を備え、
前記輝度変化量制御部は、映像内の物体の移動速度が速い場合は前記輝度変化量を第一の値に設定し、映像内の物体の移動速度が遅い場合は前記輝度変化量を第二の値に設定し、
前記第一の値は前記第二の値より大きいことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、
前記第一の値および前記第二の値を外部から調整可能なレジスタを備えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、
前記第二の値は前記第一の値より細かい単位で調整できることを特徴とする表示装置。
