Description
正極活物質としてLiCoO2粉末91重量部、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂4.0重量部、導電剤としてグラファイト粉末5.0重量部、分散剤としてN−メチルピロリドンを配合したものを、分散機にて攪拌混合することにより正極活物質合剤の塗工用スラリーを調製した。
人造黒鉛粉末を90重量部、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂を10重量部、分散剤としてN−メチルピロリドンを配合したものを、分散機にて攪拌混合させることにより、負極活物質合剤の塗工用スラリーを調製した。
2枚のポリエチレン製多孔シートから成るセパレータを部分的にヒートシールして、封筒状のセパレータ袋を作製し、これに、上記作製した正極板を、上記無地部を残して挿入して、セパレータ包被正極板を得た。
次に、このように作製した電池素子を、図1に示す構成のラミネートフィルムからなる外装ケース内に収納した。図1中、1は最外層であるポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)からなる保護層A、2はナイロンからなる保護層Bである。これら保護層の内部にはアルミニウム箔からなる金属箔層3が形成され、その内部には両面粘着性ポリプロピレン(PP)接着剤層4を挟んで、ポリプロピレン(PP)からなる熱融着性樹脂層5が形成されている。そして、最内層には、ポリプロピレン(PP)にナイロン6を5体積%分散させたポリオレフィン樹脂層6が形成されている。具体的には、このラミネートフィルム2枚で、上記ポリオレフィン樹脂層6が電池素子側に来るように挟み込んで、その端縁部において2枚のラミネートフィルムを重ね合わせ、正極端子と負極端子がラミネートフィルムからそれぞれ露出する辺及びもう一辺をヒートシールして熱溶着領域を形成し、残り一辺を開口部としてドライセルを作製した。
また、上記電池素子を、図2に示す構成のラミネートフィルムからなる外装ケース内に収納した。図2中、外側から保護層1及び2、金属箔層3、接着剤層4までは、実施例1の構成と同じである。次の熱融着性樹脂層が最内層となって、ポリプロピレン(PP)にナイロン6を5体積%分散させたポリオレフィン樹脂層6となっている点で実施例1の場合と異なる。これ以外は実施例1と同様にして、定格容量15Ahのシート状のリチウムイオン二次電池を5個作製した。この電池を実施例2とする。
また、上記電池素子を、図3に示す構成のラミネートフィルムからなる外装ケース内に収納した。図3中、外側から保護層1及び2、金属箔層3、接着剤層4、熱融着性樹脂層5までは、実施例1の構成と同じであり、ポリプロピレン(PP)にナイロン6を5体積%分散させたポリオレフィン樹脂層6がない点で実施例1の場合と異なる。これ以外は実施例1と同様にして、定格容量15Ahのシート状のリチウムイオン二次電池を5個作製した。この電池を比較例1とする。
上記実施例1及び2と、比較例1に係るラミネートフィルムからなる外装ケースを用いたシート状リチウムイオン二次電池の寿命特性を比較するために、次の条件でサイクル試験を行った。すなわち、各電池を、0.5CAの電流で4.2V電圧規制で2時間の充電後、2CAの電流でセル電圧が2.5Vになるまで放電を行うサイクルを1000サイクル繰り返した。そして、10サイクル目の2CA放電容量に対する、1000サイクル目の2CA容量の比率を放電容量維持率(%)として比較した。その結果(5個の平均値)を表1に示す。

Claims (3)
- 正極と負極とをセパレータを介して積層してなる電極群を、電解質塩に少なくとも六フッ化リン酸リチウム(LiPF6)を含む非水電解液と共にラミネートフィルムからなる外装ケースに収納してなるリチウムイオン二次電池において、上記ラミネートフィルムの最内層がポリアミドを分散したポリオレフィン樹脂層であることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 上記ラミネートフィルムは、少なくとも外側から、保護層、金属箔層、接着層、熱融着性樹脂層が順に積層されてなるラミネートフィルムであり、該熱融着性樹脂層の内部にポリアミドを分散したポリオレフィン樹脂層を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 上記ラミネートフィルムは、少なくとも外側から、保護層、金属箔層、接着層、熱融着性樹脂層が順に積層されてなるラミネートフィルムであり、該熱融着性樹脂層がポリアミドを分散したポリオレフィン樹脂層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
