Claims (4)
- 2気筒に構成される機関本体(10)と、燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁(43)ならびに該燃料噴射弁(43)から噴射された燃料および噴射用空気の混合気を噴射する空気噴射弁(44)から成るとともに各気筒の燃焼室(21)に前記混合気を直接噴射するよう前記機関本体(10)に各気筒に対応して取付けられる2個の混合気噴射弁(40)と、クランクシャフトからの動力伝達によって駆動されて前記噴射用空気となる圧縮空気を吐出するようにして前記2個の混合気噴射弁(40)に共通に接続される空気ポンプ(42)とを備え、不等間隔爆発を行う筒内噴射式2気筒内燃機関において、
前記空気ポンプ(42)の吐出時期が、全ての気筒の前記燃料噴射弁(43)および前記空気噴射弁(44)の噴射時期を避けて、且つ一方の気筒の前記空気噴射弁(44)の噴射が完了した後であって他方の気筒の前記燃料噴射弁(43)の噴射時期よりも前に設定されることを特徴とする筒内噴射式2気筒内燃機関。 - 前記一方の気筒の前記空気噴射弁(44)の噴射が完了してから空気ポンプ(42)の吐出が開始されるまでの時間が、該空気ポンプ(42)の吐出が完了してから前記他方の気筒の燃料噴射弁(43)の噴射が開始されるまでの時間よりも短く設定されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の筒内噴射式2気筒内燃機関。
- 前記空気ポンプ(42)の吐出時期が、前記一方の気筒の空気噴射弁(44)の噴射が完了した直後に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の筒内噴射式2気筒内燃機関。
- 前記空気ポンプ(42)の吐出時期が、前記他方の気筒の排気上死点近傍から前記一方の気筒の圧縮上死点近傍の間に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の筒内噴射式2気筒内燃機関。
