Description

シリコーンコーティング付き剥離紙支持体に、合成スチレン−イソプレン−スチレン(SIS)ブロックコポリマー(ドイツ、デュッセルドルフのHenkel Technologiesから市販されている、PRINLIN(商標)B7137AL)の水ベースの樹脂分散体であるポリマー結合剤材料を、標準的なパン供給リバースロールコーティング法を使用してコーティングした。ポリマー結合剤材料は、製造業者から供給されたままの完全強度で施用(塗布)した。
1.Twaron(登録商標)繊維の糸巻(スプール)を、クリールから解いた。
2.繊維を一連のコームに通して送り出し、それによって繊維を、均等に間隔を空けてかつ互いに平行にした。この時点で、個々の繊維を繊維状ウェブ、即ち実質的に平行なアレイ内で緊密に位置決めし、かつ互いに平行にした。
3.次いで繊維状ウェブを、一連の回転するアイドラーローラに渡し、実質的に平行なアレイを下方に向け直し、かつ液体樹脂浴に通した。この浴では、繊維のそれぞれは、液体が個々のフィラメントのそれぞれに浸透しかつ濡れるように十分な長さの時間にわたり、液体中に完全に沈められた。
4.この液体樹脂浴の終わりに、濡れた繊維状ウェブを、一連の静止した(回転していない)スプレッダーバー上に引き出した。スプレッダーバーは、個々の繊維がその隣の繊維に接しまたは重なるまで、個々の繊維を広げた。
5.濡れた繊維状ウェブが最後のスプレッダーバー上に渡されると、再び方向が変更され、今度は上方にかつ液体の外に向けられた。次いでこの濡れた繊維状ウェブを、大型回転アイドラーローラに巻き付けた。繊維状ウェブは、それと共に、過剰な液体を有していた。
6.繊維状ウェブからのこの過剰な液体を除去するために、別の自由に回転するアイドラーローラを、大型回転アイドラーローラの表面に乗るように配置した。これらの2つのアイドラーローラは、互いに平行であり、自由に回転するアイドラーローラは、半径方向に大型回転アイドラーローラを押さえ付けて効果的にニップが形成されるように取り付けた。濡れた繊維状ウェブは、このニップを通して運ばれ、自由に回転するアイドラーローラによって加えられた力は、過剰な液体を絞り取るように働いて、この過剰な液体を元の液体樹脂浴に戻した。
比較のため、実施例1の技法を繰り返すことによって、しかし表1にまとめたように、複合型プロセスの各技法により施用されるコーティング材料を変えることによって、2つの比較例を実施した。

12.少なくとも1種の追加のポリマー材料を前記繊維状基材に施すため、工程(b)から(d)までを少なくとも1回繰り返す工程をさらに含む、1に記載の方法。
13.工程(a)が、液体として繊維状基材に第1のポリマー材料を施す工程をさらに含み、工程(b)は、液体として支持体に第2のポリマー材料を施す工程を含む、1に記載の方法。
14.工程(a)が、液体として繊維状基材に第1のポリマー材料を施す工程を含み、工程(b)は、液体として支持体に第2のポリマー材料を施す工程を含み、第1のポリマー材料および第2のポリマー材料は、工程(c)の後であるが工程(d)の前に乾燥される、1に記載の方法。
15.工程(a)が、液体として少なくとも1種の繊維状基材に第1のポリマー材料を施す工程をさらに含み、工程(b)は、液体として少なくとも1種の支持体に第2のポリマー材料を施す工程を含み、第1のポリマー材料および第2のポリマー材料は、工程(d)の後に乾燥される、1に記載の方法。
16.(a)アレイに配列された複数の繊維状基材を提供する工程であって、各繊維状基材は単繊維を含み;
(b)第1のポリマー材料を、各繊維状基材の表面に施す工程;
(c)第2のポリマー材料を、支持体の表面に施す工程;
(d)その後、第1のポリマー材料を第2のポリマー材料に接触させることによって、アレイおよび支持体を接合する工程;
(e)第2のポリマー材料の少なくとも一部が、繊維状基材の第1のポリマー材料上に残るように、支持体をアレイから分離する工程;
(f)繊維状基材の少なくとも1つの追加のアレイで、工程(a)から(e)までを反復する工程;および
(g)その後、各アレイを一体化して不織布を形成する工程;
を含む、繊維状複合体を形成する方法。
17.各繊維状基材が、約7g/デニール以上の靭性(テナシティ)および約150g/デニール以上の引張係数を有する繊維を含む、16に記載の方法。
18.(a)複数の繊維状基材を提供する工程であって、各繊維状基材が単繊維を含み;
(b)第1のポリマー材料を、各繊維状基材の表面に施す工程;
(c)第2のポリマー材料を、支持体の表面に施す工程;
(d)その後、第1のポリマー材料を第2のポリマー材料に接触させることによって、繊維状基材および支持体を接合する工程;
(e)第2のポリマー材料の少なくとも一部が、繊維状基材の第1のポリマー材料上に残るように、繊維状基材から支持体を分離する工程;および
(f)その後、繊維状基材を織って織布にする工程;
を含む、繊維状複合体を形成する方法。
19.各繊維状基材が、約7g/デニール以上の靭性(テナシティ)および約150g/デニール以上の引張係数を有する繊維を含む、18に記載の方法。
20.13に記載の方法から形成された繊維状複合体。
21.20に記載の繊維状複合体から形成された物品。
Claims (5)
- 繊維状複合体を形成する方法であって、
(a)その表面上に第1の液体ポリマー材料を有する繊維のアレイを含む繊維状基材を提供する工程;
(b)その表面上に第2の液体ポリマー材料を有する支持体を提供する工程;
(c)その後、該第1の液体ポリマー材料を該第2の液体ポリマー材料に接触させることによって、該繊維のアレイおよび該支持体を接合する工程;および
(d)次いで、該第2のポリマー材料の少なくとも一部が、該繊維のアレイ上の該第1のポリマー材料上に残るように、該支持体を該繊維のアレイから分離する工程;
を含み、該第1のポリマー材料と該第2のポリマー材料が工程(c)の後であって工程(d)の前に乾燥されるか、または該第1のポリマー材料と該第2のポリマー材料が工程(d)の後に乾燥される方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、工程(d)の後に該繊維をファブリックに形成する工程をさらに含む方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、工程(a)が、該繊維状基材上に該第1の液体ポリマー材料を施す工程をさらに含み、工程(b)が、該支持体上に該第2の液体ポリマー材料を施す工程を含む方法。
- 繊維状複合体を形成する方法であって、
(a)アレイに配列された複数の繊維状基材を提供する工程であって、各繊維状基材は単繊維を含み;
(b)第1の液体ポリマー材料を、各繊維状基材の表面に施す工程;
(c)第2の液体ポリマー材料を、支持体の表面に施す工程;

(f)繊維状基材の少なくとも1つの追加のアレイで、工程(a)から(e)までを反復する工程;および
(g)その後、各アレイを一体化して不織布を形成する工程;
を含む方法。 - 繊維状複合体を形成する方法であって、
(a)複数の繊維状基材を提供する工程であって、各繊維状基材が単繊維を含み;
(b)第1の液体ポリマー材料を、各繊維状基材の表面に施す工程;
(c)第2の液体ポリマー材料を、支持体の表面に施す工程;
(d)その後、該第1の液体ポリマー材料を該第2の液体ポリマー材料に接触させることによって、該繊維状基材および該支持体を接合する工程;
(e)該第2の液体ポリマー材料の少なくとも一部が、該繊維状基材上の該第1の液体ポリマー材料上に残るように、該繊維状基材から該支持体を分離する工程;および
(f)その後、該繊維状基材を織って織布にする工程;
を含む方法。
