alkylおよびalkyl*は、それぞれ互いに独立に、炭素数1〜6の直鎖状アルキルを表し、および
alkenylおよびalkenyl*は、それぞれ互いに独立に、炭素数2〜6の直鎖状アルケニル基を表す。
alkylおよびalkyl*は、それぞれ互いに独立に、炭素数1〜6の直鎖状アルキル基を表し、および
alkenylおよびalkenyl*は、それぞれ互いに独立に、炭素数2〜6の直鎖状アルケニル基を表す。
式中、
LおよびEは、それぞれ、1,4−2置換ベンゼンおよびシクロヘキサン環、4,4’−2置換ビフェニル、フェニルシクロヘキサンおよびシクロヘキシルシクロヘキサン系、2,5−2置換ピリミジンおよび1,3−ジオキサン環、2,6−2置換ナフタレン、ジ−およびテトラヒドロナフタレン、キナゾリンおよびテトラヒドロキナゾリンからなる群より選ばれる炭素環またはヘテロ環を表し、
Gは、−CH=CH−、−N(O)=N−、−CH−CQ−、−CH=N(O)−、−C≡C−、−CH2−CH2−、−CO−O−、−CH2−O−、−CO−S−、−CH2−S−、−CH=N−、−COO−Phe−COO−、−CF2O−、−CF=CF−、−OCF2−、−OCH2−、−(CH2)4−、−(CH2)3O−またはC−C単結合を表し、
Qは、ハロゲン、好ましくはCl、またはCNを表し、および
R9およびR10は、それぞれ互いに独立に、炭素数18まで、好ましくは8までのアルキル、アルケニル、アルコキシ、アルカノイルオキシまたはアルコキシカルボニルオキシを表すか、または、これらの基の1つは、代わりに、CN、NC、NO2、SF5、SCN、NCS、CF3、OCF3、F、ClまたはBrを表す。
以下の例は、パッシブマトリクス用途向けのVA混合物である。
Claims (12)
- 式I*、IおよびIIから選択される4種類以上の化合物と、式IIIの少なくとも1種類の化合物とを含むことを特徴とする請求項3または4いずれか記載の液晶媒体。
- 式IIa、IIb、IIcまたはIIdの少なくとも1種類の化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の液晶媒体。
- 20〜85質量%の1種類以上の式IIの化合物と、
0〜20質量%の1種類以上の式IIIの化合物と
を含み、
混合物中における式I、I*、IIおよびIIIの化合物の総量は100%以下である
ことを特徴とする請求項3ないし8いずれか記載の液晶媒体。 - 式IおよびI*の化合物を更なるメソゲン化合物と混合することを特徴とする、請求項1ないし9いずれか記載の液晶媒体の調製方法。
- 請求項1ないし9いずれか記載の液晶媒体を誘電体として含むことを特徴とする、ECB効果に基づいて、能動型または受動型マトリクスアドレシングを備える電気光学的ディスプレイ。
- 投射型ディスプレイであることを特徴とする請求項11記載のディスプレイ。
