・ E/MAME−2 コポリマーの全重量に基づいて、マレイン酸のモノエチルエステルの共重合単位を15重量%で含み、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に30g/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレン/マレイン酸モノエチルコポリマー;
・ EVA−1 コポリマーの全重量に基づいて、酢酸ビニルの共重合単位を28重量%で含み、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に2g/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレン/酢酸ビニルコポリマー;
・ EVA−2 コポリマーの全重量に基づいて、酢酸ビニルの共重合単位を25重量%で含み、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に2g/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレン/酢酸ビニルコポリマー;
・ ECP−1 EMA−1(80重量%)とE/MAME−1(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に10g/10分の溶融流量を有し、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
・ ECP−2 EMA−2(80重量%)とE/MAME−2(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に4.5g/10分の溶融流量を有し、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
・ ECP−3 EVA−1(80重量%)とE/MAME−2(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に3.2g/10分の溶融流量を有し、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
・ ECP−4 EMA−1(80重量%)とE/MAME−2(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に7.7g/10分の溶融流量を有し、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
・ ECP−5 EMA−3(80重量%)とE/MAME−2(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に2.9g/10分の溶融流量を有し、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
・ ECP−6 EMA−2(80重量%)とE/MAME−1(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に4.8g/10分の溶融流量を有し、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
・ EAA−1 コポリマーの全重量に基づいて、アクリル酸の共重合単位を18重量%で含み、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に約60g/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレン/アクリル酸コポリマー;
・ EMAA−1 コポリマーの全重量に基づいて、メタクリル酸の共重合単位を12重量%で含み、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に13.5g/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレン/メタクリル酸コポリマー;
・ EMA/EAAブレンド EMA−1(80重量%)とEAA−1(20重量%)とのブレンドであって、混合スクリューを有する直径30mmの二軸スクリュー押出機を用いて180℃〜230℃の溶融温度において溶融ブレンディングによって調製されたブレンド;
実施例E1〜E9および比較例CE1〜CE8において、各々のフィルムをガラスのシートとTedlar(登録商標)/ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)/Tedlar(登録商標)三層フィルム(「TPT」)との間に積層し、それによってガラス/中間層/TPTの構造を有するガラス積層体を形成した。使用されたガラスシートは、4×4インチ(10×10cm)の寸法を有する厚さ1/8インチ(3.2mm)のKrystal Klear(登録商標)ガラス(AGC Flat Glass North America,Inc.(Alpharetta,GA))であった。使用されたTPT三層フィルムは、DuPont製の2つのTedlar(登録商標)フィルムの間に挟まれたポリエステルフィルムから形成された。ガラス積層体の各々は以下に記載された積層方法によって作製された。
これらの実施例において、E/MAMEとEMAまたはEVAとのブレンド(E10−E15)、EMA−1(CE9)、EMA−2(CE10)、またはE/MAME(CE11)から製造されたキャストフィルムの太陽エネルギー透過率をASTME424に従って測定した。表3に示されるように、E/MAMEとEMAまたはEVAとのブレンドから製造されたキャストフィルムは、E/MAMEまたはEMAだけから製造されたフィルムに比べて良好な透過率を保持する。
E16において、厚さ10ミル(0.25mm)のECP−1のプレス成形フィルムと厚さ5ミル(0.051mm)のDuPont Kapton(登録商標)フィルムとを含む2層積層体を製造するために、予備加熱プレス内で100psi(0.689MPa)で140℃において30秒間、2つのフィルムを加圧した。インストロン試験機(Instron引張試験機モデル1122)を用いてECP−1フィルムを180°の角度および12.7cm/分の速度においてKapton(登録商標)フィルムから剥離し、剥離荷重は4.5lb/inとして記録された。
以下、本発明の態様を示す。
1.一つまたは複数の硬質シートまたはフィルム層に積層される中間層シートを含む積層体であって、前記少なくとも1つの中間層シートが、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に100g未満/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレンコポリマーのブレンド組成物であって、エチレンコポリマーAとエチレンコポリマーBとが化学的に異なっていることを条件に、
A.エチレンと、2個のカルボン酸基を有するC 4 〜C 8 不飽和酸のエステル、2個のカルボン酸基を有するC 4 〜C 8 不飽和酸の無水物、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されたコモノマーをエチレンコポリマーAの全重量に基づいて約3〜約20重量%と、の共重合単位を含むエチレンコポリマーAを、ブレンド組成物の全重量に基づいて約5〜約95重量%と、
B.エチレンと、酢酸ビニル、アルキルアクリレート、アルキルメタクリレート、およびそれらのうち任意の2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの極性モノマーをエチレンコポリマーBの全重量に基づいて約6〜約40重量%と、の共重合単位を含むエチレンコポリマーBを、ブレンド組成物の全重量に基づいて約5〜約95重量%とを含むブレンド組成物を含む、積層体。
2.前記ブレンド組成物が、前記ブレンド組成物の前記全重量に基づいて前記エチレンコポリマーAを約5〜約40重量%および前記エチレンコポリマーBを約60〜約95重量%で含む、上記1に記載の積層体。
3.エチレンコポリマーAが、2個のカルボン酸基を有するC 4 〜C 8 不飽和酸のモノエステル、2個のカルボン酸基を有するC 4 〜C 8 不飽和酸のジエステル、およびそれらのうち任意の2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択される2個のカルボン酸基を有するC 4 〜C 8 不飽和酸のエステルを含む、上記1に記載の積層体。
4.前記エチレンコポリマーAが、2個のカルボン酸基を有するC 4 〜C 8 不飽和酸のモノエステルの共重合単位を約6〜約15重量%で含む、上記1に記載の積層体。
5.前記エチレンコポリマーAが、マレイン酸水素エチルの共重合単位を約8〜約15重量%で含む、上記4に記載の積層体。
6.前記エチレンコポリマーBが、前記少なくとも1つの極性モノマーの共重合単位を約12〜約32重量%で含む、上記1に記載の積層体。
7.前記少なくとも1つの極性モノマーが酢酸ビニルである、上記1に記載の積層体。
8.前記少なくとも1つの極性モノマーが、C 1 〜C 6 アルキルアクリレート、C 1 〜C 6 アルキルメタクリレート、およびそれらのうちの2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択される、上記1に記載の積層体。
9.前記少なくとも1つの極性モノマーが、メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、i−ブチルアクリレート、およびn−ブチルアクリレートからなる群から選択される、上記1に記載の積層体。
10.硬質シート層が、ASTM D638に従って測定された時に約690MPa以上の弾性率を有する材料を含み、ガラス、金属、セラミック、およびポリマーからなる群から選択され、フィルム層が金属フィルムであるか、またはポリエステル、ポリカーボネート、ポリオレフィン、ノルボルネンポリマー、ポリスチレン、スチレン−アクリレートコポリマー、アクリロニトリル−スチレンコポリマー、ポリスルホン、ポリアミド、ポリウレタン、アクリルポリマー、酢酸セルロース、セロファン、塩化ビニルポリマー、フルオロポリマー、およびそれらの2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択された材料を含むポリマーフィルムである、上記1に記載の積層体。
11.一つまたは複数の付加的なポリマー中間層をさらに含み、前記一つまたは複数の他のポリマー中間層が、ポリ(ビニルアセタール)、ポリ(塩化ビニル)、ポリウレタン、エチレン/酢酸ビニルコポリマー、酸コポリマー、酸コポリマーのイオノマー、上記1に記載されたブレンド組成物、およびそれらの2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択された材料を含む、上記1に記載の積層体。
12.前記ブレンド組成物を含む前記中間層シートが2つのガラス板の間に積層される、上記1に記載の積層体。
13.前記ブレンド組成物を含む前記中間層シートが、ガラス板と、耐磨耗性ハードコートを一方の表面にコートされるポリエステルフィルムとの間に積層され、前記ポリエステルフィルムのコートされた表面が前記中間層シートの反対側である、上記1に記載の積層体。
14.nの硬質シートまたはフィルム層とn−1のポリマー中間層シートとを含み、(a)nが1〜10の整数であり、(b)隣接した硬質シートまたはフィルム層の各対の間に1つのポリマー中間層シートがあり、(c)少なくとも1つのポリマー中間層シートが、上記1に記載されたブレンド組成物を含むシートである、上記11に記載の積層体。
Claims (1)
- 一つまたは複数の硬質シートまたはフィルム層に積層される中間層シートを含む安全ガラス積層体であって、前記少なくとも1つの中間層シートが、190℃および2.16kgにおいてASTM D1238に従って測定された時に100g未満/10分の溶融流量を有するエチレンコポリマーのブレンド組成物であって、エチレンコポリマーAとエチレンコポリマーBとが化学的に異なっていることを条件に、
A.エチレンと、ブテン二酸のアルキルモノエステルをエチレンコポリマーAの全重量に基づいて3〜20重量%と、の共重合単位を含むエチレンコポリマーAを、ブレンド組成物の全重量に基づいて10〜30重量%と、
B.エチレンと、酢酸ビニル、アルキルアクリレート、アルキルメタクリレート、およびそれらのうち任意の2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの極性モノマーをエチレンコポリマーBの全重量に基づいて6〜40重量%と、の共重合単位を含むエチレンコポリマーBを、ブレンド組成物の全重量に基づいて70〜90重量%とを含むブレンド組成物を含む、安全ガラス積層体。
