まず、図1〜図3を用いて、本発明の一実施形態に係る情報処理システムの概要を説明する。
次に、図4〜図14を用いて、本発明の一実施形態に係る情報処理装置100の具体的な構成を説明する。まず、図4は、一実施形態に係る情報処理装置100の構成の一例を示すブロック図である。図4を参照すると、情報処理装置100は、ユーザインタフェース110、ユーザデータ管理部120、計測部130、運動認識部140、位置取得部150、記憶部160、モデル生成部170、選択部180及び出力部190を備える。
ユーザインタフェース110は、情報処理装置100がユーザからの指示又は情報入力を受け付けるためのインタフェースを提供する。ユーザインタフェース110は、例えば、表示装置104により表示される画面を用いたGUI(グラフィカルユーザインタフェース)であってもよく、又は音声入力インタフェースなどであってもよい。ユーザインタフェース110は、本項で説明するユーザデータの登録のみならず、後に説明する運動モデルの表示の際の条件の入力のためにも用いられる。
ユーザデータが登録された後の情報処理装置100による処理は、概して、運動の計測及び認識、運動モデルの生成、並びに運動モデルの表示の3つに分けられる。本項では、このうち運動の計測及び認識について説明する。運動の計測及び認識には、主に計測部130、運動認識部140、位置取得部150及び記憶部160が関与する。
本明細書において、運動モデルとは、運動する人物(情報システム1のユーザである人物及び他の人物を含む)について時系列で計測した1種類以上の計測値と当該計測値に基づいて認識される人物の運動を特定する運動記述データとを保持するモデルデータである。運動モデルの生成には、主に記憶部160及びモデル生成部170が関与する。
(2−4−1.表示すべきモデルの選択)
本実施形態において、情報処理システム1を利用するユーザは、運動に際して、モデル生成モードとモデル表示モードのいずれかを選択することができる。ユーザがモデル生成モードを選択した場合には、情報処理装置100は、ここまでに説明した運動の計測及び認識、並びに運動モデルの生成を行う。一方、ユーザがモデル表示モードを選択した場合には、情報処理装置100は、本項で説明する運動モデルの表示を行う。運動モデルの表示には、主に記憶部160、選択部180及び出力部190が関与する。なお、運動モデルの表示の際にも、上述した運動の計測及び認識は並列的に行われ得る。
出力部190は、選択部180により選択された運動モデルについて、当該運動モデルに含まれる計測値と運動記述データにより特定される運動とを時系列で表現する一連の出力画像を生成する。そして、出力部190は、生成した出力画像を表示装置104へ出力する。
図13及び図14は、本実施形態に係る出力画像の一例をそれぞれ示す説明図である。

図15は、本実施形態に係る情報処理の全体的な流れの一例を示すフローチャートである。図15のフローチャートは、ユーザが(例えばシステムへのログインなどにより)情報処理システム1の利用を開始した後、利用を終了するまでの処理の全体的な流れを示している。
図16は、本実施形態に係るモデル生成処理の流れの一例を示すフローチャートである。なお、ここでは、モデル生成処理がユーザの一連の運動が終了した時点で行われる例について説明する。
図17は、本実施形態に係るモデル表示処理の流れの一例を示すフローチャートである。
ここまで、図1〜図17を用いて、本発明の一実施形態について説明した。本実施形態によれば、情報処理装置100により、運動する人物について時系列で計測した1種類以上の計測値と当該計測値に基づいて認識される人物の運動を特定する運動記述データとを保持する運動モデルが、予め複数記憶される。そして、指定された条件に従って選択される運動モデルについての上記計測値と運動記述データにより特定される運動とを時系列で表現する一連の出力画像が、運動するユーザにより視認し得るように出力される。それにより、ユーザは、運動をしながら、比較対象とすべき運動モデルについての運動の種類及び時系列での運動の状況を簡易に認識することができる。

Claims (15)
- 運動する人物について時系列で計測した1種類以上の計測値と当該計測値に基づいて認識される人物の運動を特定する運動記述データとを保持する運動モデルを複数記憶する記憶部と;
運動するユーザについて前記1種類以上の計測値を出力する計測部と;
前記計測部により出力された計測値及び指定された条件に従って、前記記憶部により記憶されている複数の運動モデルから、運動をするユーザと同一の人物についての運動モデル又は運動をするユーザと異なる人物についての運動モデルを含む少なくとも1つ以上の運動モデルを選択する選択部と;
前記選択部により選択された運動モデルについて、前記計測値と前記運動記述データにより特定される運動とを時系列で表現する一連の出力画像を出力する出力部と;
を備える情報処理装置。 - 前記出力画像は、前記運動記述データにより特定される運動をする人物を模したキャラクターを表示する画像である、請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。

前記選択部により選択された運動モデルについて、前記計測値と前記運動記述データにより特定される運動とを時系列で表現する一連の出力画像を出力する出力部と;
